| Edit: This has been written for a bit, but I decided not to post it until I absolutely make my return. Just a bit of a Banquet recap, as I much enjoyed that night. <3 :tidE
Newswriting End of the Year Banquet 2004-2005
^_^ Muchos arigatou to Jaimie Kim & Chelsea Akamine for doing the bulk of the coordinating. Also to the heads of each of the committees and everyone who helped with the favors, centerpieces, program/itenirary, treasure hunt!!!, entertainment, senior gift and awards. It turned out quite awesome! Thanks, guys. <3
Lethargy forces me to recap the highlights of the actual event, my apologies.
*Receiving Ferdinand from Mommy Lee *WANG! *The lovely Lilo and other costumes *G204 Puppetized *Restaurant flower hide-and-seek (*wink*) *"But I don't want to kick the other kid's -" "ARR WE KNOW YOU DON'T WANT TO KICK THE OTHER KIDS BUTT!" *Double Ariel vision *Putting together centerpieces in the bathroom *Killer guppies -_-;; *The Tanaka/G204 roast that almost was *Slideshow quotes
The After-party
A bunch of us invaded Kelsey's house and basically stayed there until 2:30, deliriously singing -- (see tape of Arlene and "The Tanaka Song" for further clarification) -- and consuming the likes of taquitos, those funky new Doritos and some black berry drink that was snarked over vehemently via Jaimie and Zach H. The Ping Pong tournament of the century also commenced, as did the Hammock Swing of DOOM.
All the while the bug zapper was the main source of entertainment and Sugarcult, Third Eye Blind, Foo Fighters and other such likable bands were reminisced over Kevan's guitar.
Good times.
It's something unpredictable, but in the end it's right. I hope you had the time of your life...

FSC LAST ENTRY Please find me at: http://www.xanga.com/white_shoulders <3 It's been a pleasure.
| Hello dear readers,
I apologize for my past rant posted here. It was rash and entirely stress-induced. Thanks for your concern and understanding, however. I will try to force back the Asian study intuition as much as possible.
In any case, I have been considering a new Xanga, as I have abandoned many remnants of FSC for a long while now. I shall keep you in the know, should this change occur.
For now, however, I am on a temporary hiatus, until things settle down, and I get over the depression of the seniors graduating and all school matters cease to exist for this school year.
I will be attending US History at MHS for summer school, taking Driver's Ed (also at the school) and trying to fit in some last minute hanging out with friends, both new and old. We shall see if Xanga can continue to captivate me.
On that note, there is a list of activities Kristen and I randomly threw together in Orchestra: -Waikiki Zoo/Aquarium outing -Waterpark (perhaps, monetary matters still debatable) -Multiple beach outings, of course -Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith movie outing -Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie outing -Batman Begins movie outing -All-day downtown cruising -Picnic for She Lace, kite-flying mandatory
^_^ Join us! ...Provide transportation! ^^;; Until next time. <3
| So Entertainment Weekly (EW) is running this huge double-issue of their magazine this week for summer movie previews. As it should be, Batman Begins is the cover-story. I just thought I'd share some quotes:
About the last Batman movie made, 1997's Batman and Robin, wherein teh Governator played Mr. Freeze: "Because most fans are still nursing disappointment over the last glimpse of their hero...when the Dark Knight could be seen clad in a nipple suit, sporting a pretty-boy sidekick, and battling a future governor-slash-oversize icebox who mangled bon mots like, 'Yuah not sending me to the cool-lah!"
Katie Holmes on working with Christian Bale: "When we started, it was mainly me and Bruce Wayne. But when Christian would have the whole suit on, I lost it. I was like, Christian, don't talk to me today, I think I have a crush on you! I mean, I don't but, like, you're Batman today."
Christian Bale on the Batsuit: "I frankly felt like a fool just standing there in a Batsuit, chatting and having coffee with somebody. You look like a drunken partygoer on Halloween or something. And the cowl was so damn tight. It gives you headaches and puts you in a fowl mood. You're in a rage after an hour."
And, lastly, EW's rather articulate conclusion, entirely in its original context: "Batman may be the greatest American icon of the last 100 years. And they better not #@!* it all up."
Gosh. I wish my parents' hadn't cut off my EW subscription. I feel so deprived. Especially now that I've been educated on Darth Vader's suit, which stands at seven feet and has built-in lifts in the boots for Hayden Christensen (6" 1'.)
Or the fact that Miyazaki is releasing a new film, (Howl's Moving Castle), a documentary called Rock School (...wait a minute, why does that sound familiar? -_-;; ), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will NOT be a musical (amen), and Kou Shibasaki was in a new film, creepy as ever.
...And now my movie-geek-fix comes to an end. Anyone up for theater-hopping this summer with me? --Chibs--
| I promised Hoshibata I'd update after SATs. But, as my brain has been robbed, I'm a tad loopy. (Exhibit A: [my blanked out s/n]: I would think it would be teh major ouch for Harrison Ford.) Oh well.

Waipahu High SATs So. They re-did stuff and now the SATs are long lykewhoa. TEN SECTIONS. I was there from 8 - 1. And our class was the first class to finish.
-25-minute essay -six other 25-minute sections -two 20 minute sections -one 10 minute session
The testbooks vary. Like I had six reading sections and three math. The guy next to me (not that I was looking no sirree Bob) had practically a zillion math sections.
...Pretend that computes.
Anyway. Yes. SATs long. SATs boring. Only two five-minute breaks. SATs bad.
...And now I'm going to do something entirely productive. Still waiting on articles you Health Newsletter people! EMAIL ME NOW ARRRRRR!!!
if I only had a brain --Chibs--
I'm probably going to forget, so, for tomorrow: HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
| I miss SuzanoChan. =(

Today seems a lot more dramatic than it probably was. In a good way. Like how JChan flipped out on me on the phone and I thought something was really wrong. (Uhm, it turned out to be infatuated whining. Silly girl.) Or conspiring with Nolen over ...well, many things actually and getting stick-ified shoes. Also getting lectured by both Specs&Dutchy simultaneously about soul mates and Fate. Oh, and I figured out that talking with Hoshibata always proves fruitful. Especially when the conversations turn to lopsided breasts and castration. Gosh, <3 teh Swiftay.
But anyway, this weekend is jampacked for me. Four hour SAT testing on Saturday; Mother's Day dinner on Sunday with the relatives, and I have to somehow find time to put together the newsletter (SABUCHAN, SMS, DENECE & YAMASAN I NEED YOUR ARTICLES LYKEWHOA AND NOW), get quotes to write leads/articles for Issue 12 and rewrite my entire informative essay paper.
Mmph. I was hoping for a free weekend, in which I'd be able to catch up on my pile of unopened DVDs and newly borrowed library books. I mean, c'mon, I paid my huge-ass fine finally - is a little spare time too much to ask for emptying my wallet?
Jeeze. That said, I'm off to shower.
And I hope Jojo comes on Monday. :\ 'Cause that'd be nice. --Chibs--
