| Guyana (formally the British Colony, British Guiana) a little known country on the North Eastern Shore of South America. Sandwiched between Venezuela to the north Brazil to the south and Surinam to the west, this country about the size of the UK has a population of about Three quarter of a million people. Guyana is rich in natural resources such as Gold, Diamonds and many other mineral deposits. With such a small population this country is too poor to have the large investments that is required to exploit this natural wealth. Countries such as Canada, India and China have all shown interest in extraction of the Gold, Diamonds and mineral deposits. Recently the USA have shown interest in extracting Oil deposits from just off the shores of Guyana. The population of Guyana occupy only a fraction of the land available and there are vast areas where the land is fertile and prime for many farming activities. There are also vast areas of natural beauty and wildlife where Eco tourism could be successfully developed. Sir Wally Raleigh went in search of El Dorado and his journey took him through this land. He never found his El Dorado (the city of gold) because he didn't know that his city of gold was beneath his feet. If you are looking for a place to make an investment in (Gold, Diamonds, Minerals,Oil,tourism or farming then this little country might be worth the gamble. In the present world economic climate Bio fuels, precious and semi precious metals, Oil and food are all in high demand and prices are rising daily. Resources such as these are getting harder to find around the world. In the past this region of South America has remained vastly undeveloped, giving rise to many investment opportunities. Classified as part of the West Indian (Caribbean community) and the only English speaking nation on mainland South America It has the potential to become the agricultural centre for the region. With agricultural land in short supply in many of the regional States, Guyana has the land and investment opportunities for future development of cash crops to export and sustain this region. Today everyone knows about the investment opportunities available in China, India, Brazil, and Russia but what most people don't know is that these countries are all looking into exploiting the natural resources in places like this. If these emerging economies are looking to invest in places like this that have been largely ignored by the west in the past, then surely it's got to be worth having a look at.
Oh i forgot, I don't Xanga anymore.
| Wednesday is my xanga 3 years birthday and after all the times i've said i'm gonna quit xanga i guess now is a good time to do it. It's nothing against xanga, i've totally enjoyed the past 3 years and met a few people that i don't see a reason why we won't remain lifelong friends, something i thank xanga for.
Something funny about my xanga site tho but i am cool with it. there have been times when i thought i had said too much and worried about it as in younger xanga guys and girls seeing it lol, like the "henry" post etc. haha. ... seany told me today that my site is now "x rated, over 18 only" which like i said, i am cool with. all my close buds are aged 18+ so it's not a problem, really it's the way things should be.
Anyhow, back to my leaving, yeh you know about this corks. :) ... see, my night time 3 hours work gig is finishing soon and that's when i usually post lol, call it escape from boredom. for a few weeks now johnny and me have been discussing how my work thing messes up our social life and we need to change it especially as summer is on its way, i hope, not much sign of it yet.... anyhow, the long and short of is when we get back from usa i will be doing a regular 5 day 9-5 whether it be here or london. i tell you, never work in your family setup. it may sound great but staff get more time off than we do. the pressure can do your head in at times, especially the way things are going right now. i say a regular 9-5 but not sure my conscience will allow me, we'll see. in 4 years time the business will be basically mine so i need to make sure that all is good in the run up. survival.
So yeh, i am going to un addict myself from xanga, not going to myspace, facebook etc. i'm not doing goodbyes because i hate that word and it isn't goodbye anyhow to my buds, there is always email and i have the addresses i need. ... to you guys, thanks for putting up with me, trying to do a fitting comment when i was being "silly"? ... yeh well i did say too much at times but hey, isn't that what blogging is all about especially when you know who it's basically aimed at, who you're talking to, sort of like a family thing. it was great fun, just think of johnny and me with less ties and be happy for us. not much to ask eh?

A couple guys, extremely close to us intended to visit usa a couple years ago, a roadtrip kind of thing, route 66. a couple problems turned up, they were under 21 so car hire could be a problem but that could have been overcome. they are hiv and yes that can be overcome when visiting usa, special waivers "if"... they thought "fuck it, we don't need this hassle" so the trip was called off.
Now they are planning another visit in a few weeks and still the same hassles. yeh they could have lied at the start, tick the "no" box regards hiv but they told the truth. you can't get away with much these days when you lie and they don't want end up in a jail in america. the flight back to uk is already booked, thanks to a relation, to satisfy authorities but the outward flight isn't.
Since 9/11 being a brit visiting usa has been and still is a total pain. we're all terrurists, yeh ok j, i know i told you all this so go party hah. serious though, trying to enter usa is almost impossible when hiv, as if it it's the land of almighty. excuse me but where did hiv, aids and other current problems originate regards the gay scene and was spread about? good ole usa, from what i know, san francisco is the main culprit then new york. so yeh, our friends are going to visit usa and cause havoc, shagging every male in sight, no i don't think so.
See, these guys aren't even at the stage they need medication so it's obvious they wont mess up. yep they made mistakes before they became lovers and unfortunately on one wild night got caught. they don't blame anyone but themselves, it happened, tough. they live with it real good and totally love each other.
So the usa visit could go ahead and probably will for personal reasons. fuk the usa government to think they can play god when most things bad originate from usa.
Dunno why but i love this "chrome radio" track, it's my latest fav dance in the shower song early in the morning. ... Good luck lil andrew.

I think the little guy above is awesome, his voice had us in tears when we watched saturday evening. it's only 2 weeks into "Britain's Got Talent" but i hope he wins, whether he does or doesn't i think he will be ok from now in. the problem is what happens when his voice breaks so if he gets setup soon he has a year or so and his voice breaking isn't necessarily the end. good luck Andrew.
Been watching bits of "American Idol" and my fav is Jason. i like his style as in appearance and performance, saying that he has had to sing some songs that he just wouldn't consider by choice and didn't always pull it off but he's still in as i write this lol. what would make Idol, Xfactor interesting to me would be to allow say the last 6 contestants to sing 5 songs of their choice ...SIMON. and yes SIMON, the way "Idol Gives Back" was edited down for uk came across as total ott pants. i only caught bits of it thank god.
Can't think of anything else to write about that can be made public. weather's not brilliant. only one thing for it.
Doctor, doctor, I can’t get to sleep. Lie on the edge of the bed and you’ll soon drop off!
Doctor, doctor, I feel like a king. What’s your name? Joe. You must be Joe King!
Doctor, doctor, everyone says I’m invisible. Who said that?
Patient: Doctor, doctor, I feel so tired, I don’t know where I am half the time. Dentist: Open wide now!
Doctor, doctor, I keep thinking there’s two of me. One at a time please!
Doctor Doctor I feel like a bee!" "Buzz off!"
Doctor Doctor, I think I’m a spoon.” “Sit over there, please, and don’t stir!”
Doctor Doctor, I keep losing my memory. When did you first notice that? When did I first notice what?
Doctor Doctor, I think I’m invisible. Who said that?
Doctor Doctor! I think I'm a goat!" "How long have you felt like this?" "Since I was a kid!"
Doctor, Doctor! I'm going to die in 51 seconds!" "I will be with you in a minute!"

Doctor Doctor! I think I'm a needle!" "I see your point!"
Doctor, doctor, I keep thinking I’m a bridge. What’s come over you? So far, three cars, a bus and a motorcycle!
What do you give an injured lemon? Lemonade!
Doctor, doctor, I feel like a pack of cards. I’ll deal with you later!
Doctor, doctor, I feel like a pair of curtains. Pull yourself together!
Doctor, doctor, everyone keeps ignoring me! Next please!

Out of all the xfactor/pop idol/ american idol winners leona lewis definitely seems a runaway success. right now the world is her oyster, she can't seem to do anything wrong. i may be wrong but kelly clarkson probably held that crown before. to be honest i don't think i've heard any of her stuff because as with leona, it's not my scene but hey, respect. obviously i have heard leona and i can see what it's all about commercially and if she can cope with the pressure i think she will be around for years. simon must have a few mattresses now. yeh well who would put their money in a bank these days. ... talking about commercial, duffy is doing a bomb here and she sounds good. "mercy" is a total retro sound, to me it's like 60's 70's soul sound. watch out for her "official" album release next month in usa, it's impressive.
We went to a bar in christchurch a few nites ago to get together with some friends. the bar was having a disco nite which was a guy with a laptop linked to a sound system. it was so crass. yeh i know puters are an important part of the dance scene now but a guy with just a laptop just doesn't do anything for me. working discs is an art and shouldn't be lost, it's what makes the sound different and never the same so long live you vinyl mix guys. keep on keepin on, you get me off, a laptop doesn't. i may as well sit here and choose my own tracks and party and saying that is a bit hypocritical cos we have done parties like that haha. yeh well, i'm not a vinyl mixer, actually i used to be quite good, just haven't done it for some time. oh yes i know my bpm's
Yesterday was brilliant weatherwise, the hottest day of the year, just couldn't resist spending the afternoon on the beach, ok not sunbathing. john was in london so i went to eat with a couple mates at a place just down the road from where we live. http://www.branksomebeach.co.uk/restaurant.html ... shhh ... just messing, he knows, he told me to order mussels for starters and think of him lol. i did., a massive bowl with salad and as close as you can get to french bread. we walked along the beach to bournemouth did some shopping and got a cab back. first taste of summer. ... sunday forecast, sleet or snow. it will probs be sleet. doo wah diddy..
