| | Christian Life is what? a mission.
A mission is what? a ministry.
A ministry is what? a lifestyle.
If we claim to be a Christian, we claim a mission. And when we are in a mission, we have a ministry. Right? When we are in ministry out mind is set on a lifestyle. Follow?
So a Christian Life is a mission ministry that is a lifestyle.
But why do we limit outselves? Is that like limiting GOD? We do have Him inside us, right? And everything is possible with Him, so we say. Are we limiting Him?
Do we limit ourselves(or Him) in worship, in words, in prayer or even in friendships?
Example: Friendships. Why do we put limitations on our number of friends? Do we become too comfortable with just our group of friends? How much good can we do if we impact other lives than just the same group we hang out with all the time. How much of an impact can you make by just concentrating it on your current relationships? God didn't give us a spirit of Timidity. Lets not touch friends, but touch the world.
I rather not be known for the guy who hangs out with this group. Being attached to the hip. But the guy that is attached to the hip with Jesus.
Don't set limitations on yourself. But take a chance, and see where it'll lead you. Romans 12:5 "...and we all belong to each other." There is nothing wrong with having a close knit group of people. Jesus had the 12 apostles, and then the inner 3, Peter, James and John. But the mission of this group of people was to touch the world. Their purpose was extroverted, not introverted. When we hang out as a close group of friends with a common goal, we become a part of something bigger than ourselves. |
