| blahhiya everybody!!! it's been a while since I've posted.
things have been goin pretty well, I guess. Tim Scheurich came down and visited this weekend, had an awesome time! he's the first everybody, now it's your guys's turn! been going to school, work, flying...the regular ruitine I guess.
totalled up another page in my logbook tonight, I now have 187.1 hours total time (w/ 618 landings). I'm now in Stage 5 of 6 in commercial, and 3 of 4 in instrument, I'm sooo excited!
anywho, I suppose I'll stop now. kind of ran out of things to talk about... lol
catch "ya'll" later...

| what's new in the world of greg? eh, not a whole lot. well, I have reduced myself to a foodservice worker... .... I'm now waiting tables at Red Robin (all american burger joint, kind of like a fudruckers). it's not too bad, I enjoy it. I enjoy going home with cash every night...lol.
well, I am now officially done with Commercial Part 1 (stage 1, 2 and 3). I am the student to hold the record to completing comm. part 1 in the shortest amount of time (10 weeks). I'm also working on stage 2 of 4 in my instrument training. my goal is to have my Instrument rating, and my commerical license by my birthday (april 15th) I think that would be righteously kick ass to be a commercial pilot by my birthday.
so I've got to knock this instrument stuff out, then I can start on Commercial part II (stage 4, 5, and 6), which is alot of night flights, cross countries, and complex aircraft operations (retractable gear, constant speed prop)...which shouldn't be a problem, I already have about 21 hours of complex time.
I just the other day surrpassed the 150 hour mark, I now have 160.3 hours total time. it makes me happy
new pictures are available on my website....www.gwhiteonline.com
well, I must go, I will ttyl | | |
| well everybody...I got my camera today.
probably not a whole lot of people are gonna know what I'm talking about.
I got a Canon EOS 20D 8.2 megapixel digital SLR camera with the canon 17-85mm Autofocus/Image Stabilizer lense. also got the canon 50mm autofocus lense, then got the canon speedlite 580EX flash...I'll probably post some pictures that I've taken at http://www.gwhiteonline.com/pics.htm
anyways...I've been having fun with it...can't wait to start making money with it .
as far as flying goes, I'm up for my Stage I commercial stage check, I should be able to finish stage II and III commercial by the first of the year, at which time I will start instrument training...that's my goal, but I'm gonna have to fly pretty much twice every day to do that. should be fun , I now have 116.3 hours total time, and will probably have 160 by the first of the year....so you understand, that's alot of flying I have to do!
anyways...I'm off to bed. peace out!

| dude everybody...I'm sooo freakin happy! I found my flight bag, logbooks and three headsets! I was talking to one of my flight instructors who now works in detriot (was the former tenant of this apartment), and he was telling me that he had his crap stolen too at one point and that he found his stuff down this little ravine by a hole in the fence around our complex. So I got home last night, and I got out and I was like "well, shoot, I'll check anyways"...not really expecting to find anything. well, I was lookin and then I saw a black bag, then three more black bags (headset bags), and I was like "duuuuuude, no way!"
so anyways...now the only things that are missing are my subs/amp, and the faceplate to my radio...oh, and my Ti-83+, but I've since bought another one of those. so I've been rather excited since like 3am this morning when I found the stuff!
anyways....cracked the 100 hour mark this last week, logged 13.2 hours of prop time last week alone!!!! (yeah, that's alot!) I now have 106.2 hours total
Total Time: 106.2 hrs
Single Engine: 85.5 hrs
Multi-Engine: 20.7 hrs
216 Landings (183 day/33 night)
Night: 12.2 hrs
Actual Instrument: .4 hrs (in the clouds)
Simulated Instrument: 5.3 hrs (wearing a hood, so I can't see outside)
Cross-Country: 22.3 hrs
Pilot-in-Command: 27.2 hrs
Instruction Recieved: 91.5 hours
Current Ratings Held:
Private Pilot Single Engine Land/w Complex Aircraft Endorsement
I have my multi-engine checkride on the 28th, so I should get my mutli-engine rating at that time...that'll make me happy!
anyways folks, have a good one, I'm gonna run to the bank and cash my check! so I'll catch "yall" later!

| well...I had the most horrible day today. I had about $4000 worth of stuff stolen out of my car today. had my subs in the trunk stolen ($1700), my flight bag ($400 of misc stuff), and my three headsets(about $1500), the faceplate to my radio...and the most important thing, my logbooks were stolen! (and I've only spend about $25k filling those out), and they also busted a window out of my car...another hundred fixing that. I don't have anything....ALL of my crap was stolen...dad thinks that insurance will cover it. but I'm not gonna get my hopes up. the only thing that makes me moderatly happy is that they didn't take my actual deck (about $500) and they didn't find my iPod which is worth another $300, so that makes me somewhat happy. I can pick up a new faceplate for about $100, so that's not too bad.
I swear man...if I ever, EVER find who did it, i'm gonna kick the ever lovin' crap out of them, and they're gonna wish they never screwed with my stuff, I will kill them.
so I called the police...they came out and did a report, gave them all of the serial numbers for my stuff, and now I have to see if I can get insurance to pay for any of it.
those are the big things...I'm not sure what else was taken, I have to go thru my car with a fine tooth comb, I had alot of stuff in it. My checkbooks are still there, and my registration and proof of insurance is still there, so...that's good.
anyways...I just thought I would share the horrible news.
