| Delayed Once moreMy team and I have been delayed once more from going to Kenya. We are now leaving the first week in March, and possibly spending the first couple of months in Tanzania, before we settle in eastern Kenya. In the mean time, my team has been praying together everyday, doing ministry, and taking classes. We have been keeping very busy.
Please pray that God would continue to work to bring peace back to Kenya. That the people would put Jesus first and above everything else. Pray for our leadership, that God would lead them in their decisions regarding my team. Also, pray that God would provide the last little bit of support in the next couple of weeks for one of my team members. Thank you for praying!
God bless you, Eric

| Mission DelayedMy team and I have been delayed from going to Kenya because of the chaos happening there right now. We are now looking at leaving in the middle of February.
Please pray for peace in Kenya!
| Headed to Africa! In less than 2 weeks I will be traveling over 8 thousand miles to Kenya! My team and I will be there for 16 months, 4 months in Nairobi and 12 months in eastern Kenya. We will learn the language and culture (some of which we already know), as well as minister to the poor, share the love of Christ, and preach the gospel. The people that we will mainly be ministering to are considered an unreached people group (they haven't heard the gospel of Jesus Christ). There is still a need for people who will partner with us prayerfully and financially. If you have questions or would like to partner with us in reaching Kenyans for Christ send me a message. Donations are tax-deductible.
Together for His Kingdom,
Eric
"And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen." (Matthew 28:18-20) "After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also, and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go. Then He said to them, 'The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. Go your way; behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.'" (Luke 10:1-3)
| The ReasonThe only reason that I started this blog was to help people.
I think that there are a lot of people living in unforgiveness. One of the problems with unforgiveness, is that you are mainly causing yourself pain.
Many times I have replayed over and over what someone did or said that
hurt me or made me angry. I would think about ways that would “shut
them up”, like punching them in the face. Replaying what happened in my head would bring back the same emotions, and it only made me angry. We must forgive our offenders, even when it is something horrible like getting raped. The raper should definitely be put in prison, but the rape victim should still forgive them, as difficult as that is, because if they don't it's like getting raped every time that they think about it.
Forgiveness is our ticket to freedom.
Forgiveness is not justifying, understanding or explaining away an offense. It's not denying that we have been hurt or pretending that the hurt was "no big deal." It's not necessarily forgetting. It's also not tolerating nor trusting the offender immediately again. Justice should prevail, however, do not seek revenge. Forgiveness is the choice to let go of revenge.
If that isn't enough reason to forgive, another reason is that God commands it. "Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you have against one another" (Colossians 3:13) "For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." (Matthew 6:14-15)
If you have any questions, please, please ask.
In Christ's love, Eric
