| Let's see what I've been up to this summer. I can't remember what happened in the first month of summer, it was a daze of sleeping, eating, driving back and forth from philly and not doing much else that I care to write about. What I do remember is that I got a pharmacy job and so far it's been good.
I had a bad week last week, my car was broken into which sucked, what sucked even more is that they didn't even take the stereo, they stole my jeans and shoes. I mean what the hell, who breaks into a car for some 3 year old jeans with holes in them. Then I got a traffic ticket for turning left on a "steady red" or so the cop thought, I plead not guilty and have to go back to court later.
(the story below is indeed true, some parts may have been embellished for dramatic effect)
I was in Reading last night to get some clothes and such, and at about 9 at night the power went out on the whole street. This is insignificant as to what proceeded next. Since the power was out, I chilled on the porch with my cousins and such.
When the power is out and there is nothing to do, great things happen. Earlier that day I ate leftover chinese food. So I was gassy that night. On the porch were our sources of light, three candles. Now I felt one coming on, then just as fast the lightning was during the storm that knocked out our power, an idea flashed in my head. "Mark, get the candle," I bellowed. ::Poof:: And a flame was produced as glorious as the stars in the sky. This was the stuff of legends my friend, something you have heard was possible but could not believe until you've seen it with your very eyes. After the moment of disbelief, the porch erupted in laughter and cheers that could be heard for miles. |
