"Bondage of Sin"

From where I stand I can tell you that it is not easy to escape this bondage.  Sin is something that we are faced with every day of our life.  Every step we make is a decision to do what is right or to so what is wrong.  Every Service that I have attended has always ended with the pastor offering a call for those to come forward to get there lives right with God.  Sin is not measured on size because sin is sin not matter how big or small it is...

Being in the bondage of sin is like being in slaved to it.  You will never be free until you are ready to flee...Your sin... Satan is always prepared to be a stumbling block in our lives.  By making sin so appealing to us that is is hard to resist.  Much like when Eve was in the garden she was drawn to the apple that was not to be ate but because Satan had made it so irresistible to her, she gave in and took that bit then invited Adam to join in on that sin.  It is not to often that one person will sin and be happy doing it by there selves they will always invite others to join in.  Sin leaves deep scars on your life and on others lives. If you think that your choices wont affect other people, you are wrong. Your sin affects everyone around you and it can even deeply affect people you don't know. Just as Eve sin affected everyone of us..

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy [to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.   Romans 8: 18-19

Knowing that we are in the bondage of sin and realizing that it is not us that can free ourselves but the Blood that Jesus God's Son Shed for us is the only way we can be free from the Bondage of Sin...

Ephesians 1:7a says, "In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

James 2:13a says, "For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment. " We are sinful people. Romans 3:23 tells us, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; "

Knowing these thing and walking in his Light will help us.  But remember that Sin is a daily struggle and we have to make our choices wisely.

Christian ways to reduce stress

An Angel says, “Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn’t happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.”

1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.

3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won’t fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don’t lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety. If you can’t do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don’t use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19. Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don’t wait until it’s time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good “Thank you Jesus.”
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33. Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
36 .. Every night before bed, think of one thing you’re grateful for that you’ve never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU. “ What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who [can be] against us?” (Romans 8:31
)

Hello everyone I am so glad that we are back up and running... I was ask a question that I wanted to make sure and address.  Because this site is one to encourage and to help, not to cause doubt nor offend.  I will make sure to let you know when something that is being said is my opinion and when it come from the Word of  God.  I have been brought up in my Christian Home to believe the Word of GOD!

Question. What scripture supports God testing us or allowing our testing?

I Posted the following yesterday......

God uses problems to INSPECT you.  Sometimes it take going through something from the inside out to find what the real problem is. God sometime's has to go through us inside out to find what is truly in our hearts.  Temptation is something God may cause to test the faith of his saints.  He does not mean to use this to entice us to do evil.  While it is true that he test us, he never provokes us to sin.  That is usually a step that we take all on our own. Has God ever tested your faith with a problem? James 1:2-3

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing [this], that the trying of your faith worketh patience.

temptations in this verse is defined as (an experiment, attempt, trial, proving, testing) He will use a problem to bring us back to him, if we have drafted abroad.  Job is a very good example of a man being tested by God.

But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you]. I Peter 5:11

the following is the defection of suffered.....

1) to be affected or have been affected, to feel, have a sensible experience, to undergo

a) in a good sense, to be well off, in good case

b) in a bad sense, to suffer sadly, be in a bad plight

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:  1 Peter 1:7

See in I Peter 1:7 he is telling us that the trial of our faith teaches us patience and helps us to grow to be the kind of person God want's us to be.

So by God Inspecting our lives going through it inside out finding the problem and lighting a flame under us to get up and do something about that problem. That may be a trial that God is allowing in our life. It is for the good of our Faith in HIM... Hope that this may have been a help to any one that may have had a question concerning this part of my post....

Bondage Of Problems

Hello everyone If you have never checked out my other blog try it. www.xanga.com/thepastorswife  I Love to blog and wanted another site that I could devote to just my devotionals.  There are some kool thing on the other one... LB

Why does God allow problems in your life?

What is God telling you with the problems that he has permitted you to go through?  The problems that you face will either defeat you or develope you into a stronger person. Unfortunately most people fail to see how God want to use problems for good in their lives.  Most of the time it is easier to just say that how can this be happening and think that the Lord would never do something like this. But the truth is that He works in many different way's to insure that he get's the attention of his children.

Here are five ways God want to use the bondage of problems in you life to better you.

1. God uses problems to DIRECT you.  Sometimes God might have to result to drastic measures to get you up and moving.  Problems often point us in a direction and motivate us to change.  Is God trying to get your attention? Or has he already gotten your attention and you have chosen not to follow...

2. God uses problems to INSPECT you.  Sometimes it take going through something from the inside out to find what the real problem is. God someting'shas to go through us inside out to find what is truly in our hearts.  Temptation is something God may cause to test the faith of his saints.  He does not mean to use this to entice us to do evil.  While it is true that he test us he never provokes us to sin.  That is usually a step that we take all on our own. Has God ever tested your faith with a problem? James 1:2-3

3.  God uses problems to CORRECT there are times when lessons are learned through pain and failure.  If a child touches a hot stove and you have said don't touch over and over then when he touched and burns his self then it took that pain to teach him or her a lesson.

4. God uses problems to PROTECT you.  A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being or by putting someone else in harms way.

5.  God uses problems to PERFECT you.  Going through the bondage of problems can truly be that blessing that help to build character.  God is more concerned with character than he is in your comfort.

Going through the Bondage of problems trial and temptations can deepen our trust in Him.  We should thank God for theses opportunities to grow in our faith. Know that these bondage's are just for a due season and you will reap so many blessings from them.  There not all for the bad but for reasons that only you can discover.

I think back to the song He's still working on Me.  How true this is for all of us.

Grow in Faith and Love.

Hello Everyone this is my new post to my NEW XANGA SITE I am so excited about branching out toward a direction that may be a encouragement and help to all Ladies, Mothers, Daughter and those that just need a little encouragement for a moment in time when there say may be felted with the torment and trials that are unexpected.

Today will be rather short and sweet.

I have named this site Free From The Bondage.  What is the bondage that you are living in. Now let me ask this simple question "Why are you Leaving there?"  Do you know that it is up to you what your life is at this point and time.  You are in control.  Live your life today as if the Lord were coming for a visit tomorrow and you were getting everything ready for His visit.  I know that when we are expecting to have company things around here are hectic and I get so worked up. Or let me say that my Husband get me all worked up with him running around like he is the only one doing anything.  (Gotta Love Him) My Point is that we don't know when he is coming back to take his children home but we will and should be read to meet him at the drop of a hat.  Bondage will be our subject for the next few day's and I hope that there will be something that will help you, uplift you and encourage you...
