New Blog!

Well, ladies and gentlemen, I've created a new blog for myself.  It is called filiascholae.  I'll be shutting down this blog(Fresnel15) in a few days, so please go and subscribe to it. I'd hate to loose any of my readers in the switch.

I think the name filiascholae fits me much better than Fresnel15, seeing as how I'm not 15 anymore, and I'm not *that* fascinated with lighthouses anymore(although I still think they're really cool).

But I'll always be a Daughter of Schola.

Major Tag

Well, ladies and gentlemen, thanks to Joel I've been tagged with one of the weirdest tags I've ever faced.

#1. If you were peanut butter in your local grocery store, what aisle would you be on?

As close to the celery as I can get.

#2. What is your favorite comic strip?

Calvin & Hobbes definitely comes in first, followed closely by Fox Trot.  (Do Tintin and Asterix count as comic strips??)

#3. How many Eastern European capitals do you know without consulting an atlas?

   Um... three, possibly four.

#4. If you were a household appliance, what would you be?

A CD player.  I love music!

#5. List your goals in order of their relevance to CheeseWhiz and/or SpongeBob:

I'm going to have to go with what Joel said.  "N/A. Sorry! I don't know the definitions of CheeseWhiz and SpongeBob."

#6. Chocolate: milk, white, dark?

Milk chocolate, by all means; especially if it's Greek chocolate.  I don't like chocolate very much, but Greek milk chocolate is SO good.

#7. If you could have dinner with an important historical figure - what would you eat?

Spaghetti and meatballs with french bread!

#8. On average, how often do you lose your keys and/or cell phone?

I've only lost my keys once, and that wasn't for very long.  I think I found them the next day.  I don't have a cell phone.

#9. Synchronized swimming - Yes or no?

Well, it's kind of stupid(and pointless), but I guesss it's alright.

#10. Give your best definition (without looking it up) of schoenabatist:

Um... someone who makes shoes for plants?  lol!

#11. If you lived on a desert island, which of the following would you want with you?
A.) An oasis
B.) A 1949 Pinot Noir
C.) An original copy of The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy
D.) Potpourri

  I think I'll take A.

#12. If you didn't live on a desert island, where would you choose to have your adventurous getaway far from sanity and civilization?
A.) The Sahara
B. ) The Arctic
C.) Frog Level, NC

Away from sanity, you say?  Then I'll go for C.  I had no idea that there even *was* such a place, but okay!  That sounds adventurous enough.

#13. If you do live on a desert island - WHY?

Because desert islands are "kool".  Besides, you never know if Captain Jack Sparrow might show up one afternoon!

#14. If you were a mustard, would you be French's or Dijon?

I can't stand mustard.  There's no way on earth that I would ever allow myself to be turned into a jar of it.

#15. Explain why wigs went out of fashion and how this brought about the Cold War.

Well, eventually the wigs that people wore got so tall that it got too hard for the women to go through doorways while wearing them.  They went out of fashion quickly because of that, but then people got cold!  And when people get cold, they get irritated.  Thus the Cold War came about.

#16. What is your favorite memory from the past year?

Probably the Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band concert that I went to back in August.  That was the most fun concert I've ever been too.

#17. Where, to the best of your knowledge, is the Fountain of Youth?

Again, I'm going to have to go with what Joel said. " *points to the Bible* "

#18. What toothpaste are you currently brushing with?

Well, besides the fact that I'm not brushing my teeth right this instant, lol ....

#19. Explain the mystery of parking in driveways while driving on parkways and boxing "rings".

I agree with what just about everyone else said.  It's all the fault of people distorting the English language.

#20. What is the best use for celery?

  Chikkin soup!!

#21. Demonstrate the recently-decided offical way to list "Arkansas" in a possessive tense.

   What's all this "recently-decided" stuff??

#22. Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?

What kind of question is that?   You can't find Carmen Sandiego! (Thanks a lot, Joel. You made me loose the game again.)

#23. List three reasons for or against Pachelbel's Canon in D.

1) It's classical music, therefore it is good.
2) Everyone likes it, therefore it is good.
3) I like it too, therefore it is good.

Now "TAG" three other helpless individuals with better things to do!

Alright!! Mwahaha.....  I tag Ghillies, BeatriceG, and missgardener.

Dancing Queen...

"You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen!
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine!
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life,
See that girl, watch that scene, diggin the dancing queen!"

Happy Birthday, Jordan!
