| Yeah, ok, so it's February. Yikes. A lot can change in a short month and a half. Quit Abercrombie. Got zero support from my district and regional, and to the contrary, was hassled constantly. Moved in with the boyfriend... in fact, gave the keys back to my old apartment complex for them to rent it out so I can break the lease. I guess from this point on I'll try to update on a regular basis as I used to, dates and all included. | | |
| I can't believe I haven't updated in a month!
Forget dates... no way I'm remembering stuff from last month. Still dating Chris. Work's getting off the hook busy, which is great. Beating LY consistently, keeping things organized. Definitely having some issues with my managers still (of course). One deposit was $800 short. Calling out... coming in late. Two of them don't even want to work for the company anymore, and I'm just trying to get out of this store as fast as possible. Hoping to move to Boston very soon. Anyway, I will try to update this thing more often now that I have greater access to the internet. :)
| Saturday (10-29): Halloween at Paradise. I had such a fun night. And eventhough I neglected in the three weeks prior to take an hour to pick out a costume, I went without and simply had a blast. Carlos gave me a red boa to sport, which of course I did the whole night. We got there and it was mobbed. I couldn't believe how many people dressed up and took the night seriously. It was great... one guy dressed up as a corpse in a coffin, drag queens (both good and horrendous), and my favorite was the cute gladiator who won the best costume overall. Carlos and I were dancing the whole night, and the dj played some hardcore great music. The boys did their own thing at the bar ... Marshall floated around the whole joint all night. It was just an amazing night. Hell in Paradise: A
Sunday (10-30): Two words: Chris and Moonstruck. That was the end of it. Marshall invites me out to dinner with him and Carlos, and he mentions that he invited his friend Chris along as well. We meet at Marshall's house beforehand, where I meet Chris. He's just totally hot ... but not what I normally consider hot. Well, dinner was a normal dinner. The next day I tell Carlos that our new friend Chris is super hot and a really cool guy and Carlos tells me that Chris felt the same way about me. *Cha ching!* So I get his number from Carlos and we talk a little bit here and there. Can I be even less coherent? An unexpected Sunday night: A
Tuesday (11-1): At a bar named Jimmi's in Asbury, I meet up with Carlos, Chris, and Joe. I've only been to this bar once before, a while back, and it was awful. Anyway, tonight, the place was empty. We were sitting around talking, drinking, whatever for a while. Carlos was having drama with Marshall that morning, something about a belligerent supplier coming in and swinging chairs around. Well, I called Marshall back and told him where we'd be that night. Marshall shows up around 1130, hair sticking up as if he just got out of bed (which he had), with this vacant stare on his face the whole night. He really didn't say one word until we got outside, at which point he launched into Chris. It was an ugly demonstration. Meanwhile, the boys themselves are going through a lot ... Mark comes in crying and pulls Joe, who had been drinking heavily, outside, and they talk and cry outside for a while. Just a very scattered night: B-
Friday (11-18): Fast forward a few weeks ... Chris and I are still talking, still seeing one another. He's totally intriguing, very stable and level-headed, which is more than I can say for the vast majority of people that I've met in Jersey. I mean, I have a key to his place already. Which completely scares me and totally inspires me at the same time. Chris is sane enough to want to go slow and get to know each other first. Most if not all guys I've met want to jump straight into a relationship, which ultimately fails because they don't really know what they (or I) are getting into. All I can say at this point is that things are great and getting better. And we are both very realistic about the uncertainty of the future. Never would have thought: A
Saturday (11-19): I'm not even going to talk about work. Needless to say, I can't wait until I move on to a store where the manager really care about making a great store. Boston, anyone?: B
| Tuesday (10-25): Should have mentioned the first part of this story last week. Last Tuesday, this kid is walking around my store when I greet him and ask if he needs any help. Well, he starts talking my ear off. Apparently, he's from England, but born in Manhatten. He's got that hot english accent, but also that crude sense of humor. We talk for a while, then he does something really strange... he introduces himself and asks for my name. Very interesting ... never "met" anyone in my store. Ok fast forward to next week. I'm wondering when Mike is going to come in again, when I see him again in my store. Haha, ok. So we start talking again. Talking my ear off. :) But THIS time, at the end of our conversation, Mike asks if I would want to go out sometime. Haha, sure! So I give him my number and off he goes. Kicker is, he asks if I have a girl, and I tell him I'm not into it, and he still wants to hang out even though he's straight. Very interesting. Europeans are so weird. So I'm waiting for him to call. One night in London: A
Thursday (10-27): Every day it seems that joining a gym was a great decision. Each time I go there are these crazy hotties there, sometimes by themselves, sometimes with other equally hot gym buddies. Sometimes I get to talk to them, sometimes I just like to watch. :) I'm starting to see the same people at the same time ... so now I have to form a routine which will not only keep me working out regularly, but also allow me to see and meet some really hot guys. :) Motivation: A-
| Monday (10-17): I get the most random phone call at work which sets me on an interesting chain of events. Once again, providence speaks for itself. At work, I get a phone call from none other than a rep from the Work Out World in Ocean, the gym I've always really wanted to join anyway. They tell me, while layered in promotion and propanganda, that Abercrombie is a natural match with the gym due to the fact that both focus on image and a specific lifestyle. Both true, of course. Well, that's all I needed to set up my appointment with the general manager there, Natalie. Step 1: B+
Wednesday (10-19): In the morning I arrive for my appointment and sign the papers. Easy enough. The casual agreement that we have allows both of us to promote in the other business. I will pass out the 7-day free passes to my employees and have the passes available to customers and in return we have permission to recruit in the gym and flyer the parking lot. :) This is the type of working relationship we are encouraged to form by home office, so here's to recruiting! I could probably get an MIT or two if you think about it. So directly after I sign the dotted line, I have my physical assessment by a trainer. The diagnosis: I'm imbalanced. My right side is stronger than my left (I could have told you that), and my posture is bad (once again, I could have told you). So I'm going to buy the trainer on a preliminary basis until I see some results. :) Lots of hotties... my friends call it a "fashion show," and no kidding! But who's complaining?! Prolonged staring: A
Thursday (10-20): Ok, so I have a crappy day at work. Like, I have to have two difficult conversations: one with a manager of mine and one with a brand rep. I have a natural tendency to blow up when I get angry, and I really had to restrain myself and fall back on the training and experience I had with a previous district manager of mine. She told me, "What's the point of getting angry?" and true enough, if I compose myself a little before addressing an issue, and if I prepare questions to ask to get to the bottom of an issue, we can resolve it calmly. Still feels like crap, though. Anyway, had a rough day, was about to can going to the gym, but decided to go anyway. Glad I did. Overextended myself just a little, but saw only one guy both nights, and he was a total beefcake. Tall, dark, super cute, and ripped as hell. Coincidentally, we both finish our workouts at the same time, and as I'm entering the locker room, he's changing his shirt, and I see his hot, jacked chest. *swoon* But, of course, he's the type to face the door while he's changing and the type to tighten every muscle in his body while he's at it. *rolls eyes* Anyway, my day totally turned itself around, and I ended up having a really good night. :) Had dinner at Marshall's and saw the boys, whom I haven't seen in like two weeks. Definitely a good end to a crappy day. 180: A-
