| The proposal!!Per the request of friends wanting all the exciting details:
It all happened this past Saturday, March 4. Daniel came up from
Waco to visit me in Dallas (since I'm here interning at Deloitte for
the semester). I had to work that morning/early afternoon, but it
gave Daniel a perfect opportunity to have lunch with my dad... I had no
idea! Anyway, after we played miniature golf and rode go-carts
that afternoon, Daniel suggested that we have dinner at Reunion
Tower. So we got all dressed up and drove downtown. He was
walking very quickly, and I teased him about it (I had no idea we had a
reservation for 7 and were running a few minutes late!). I had a
sneaking suspicion that he would propose this weekend, so I was unsure
what to think when it didn't happen over dinner. But then Daniel
suggested that we go see the lights of downtown from
the Sky Lobby (the top of the Deloitte building), hoping I would have
access at 9 pm! While enjoying the view
from the 39th floor, I leaned back again him and noticed that his heart
was pounding!! I had been trying not to get my hopes up too much,
but with that, I knew that he was either going to chicken out or ask me
to marry him! Fortunately, he chose the later of the two! :)

| Quick update on my life and the near future since I haven't posted in months:
-Daniel and I will be celebrating our 11 month anniversary
tomorrow. He started his new job in Waco in December, but
fortunately, we still get to see each other every other weekend or so.
-I'm almost done with my first mini-mester (corporate tax), and then
I'll have three more weeks of class (international accounting) before
heading to Dallas.
-My 10-week tax internship at Deloitte ($cha-ching!$) starts on
February 13th. During that time I'll be living at my parent's
house in Richardson. I'll have the month of May off before I come
back to CS to take 14 hours of summer school (lucky me - I'm not
graduating until May '07).
-I've had poison ivy on my arms for the past week and a half (my
backyard is a jungle), and have recently discovered that medicine that
expired in July '99 still works wonderfully.

| Wow... I kinda disappeared from the Xanga world there for a while,
didn't I? I've been really busy lately. The past two weeks
have been crazy with interviews and recruiting with public accounting
firms for an internship next spring. Recruiting will continue for
two more weeks. It's crazy, but it's also really cool at the same
time. I get free food all the time, so I'm not gonna
complain! This weekend I will be in Dallas until Saturday
afternoon with PwC. They're taking us to Lone Star Park tonight
for the horse races, and tomorrow I'll be hanging out at The Four
Seasons Resort getting a manicure and pedicure before heading back to
CS for Ring Dance with Daniel. So fun! To add to the
craziness, I had two tests this week, but I pulled A's on both of them
(one was because my prof gave a 20% curve...WHOOP!). So anyway...
I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, and I'm alive and
well! Hope you're all doin' good. Tata!

| Stole this from BennieK:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal or website along with these instructions.
5. Don't search around and look for the "coolest" book you can find. Do what's actually next to you.
