Canadian Tire Bucks

Just to let everyone know. We are still collecting Canadian Tire Bucks. While most people simply leave this in their car, or stuck here and there or even throw them away at Frontier Lodge we collect them to buy extra equipment and other items. So if you can live without your Canadian Tire Bucks, we would love to have them. You can mail them to the camp office.

When will it end !

News Reports are telling us this is a record year for snow. I guess this is great if you enjoy skiing. Here at camp we have had well over six feet of snow since December, things are buried in it. I suppose Spring will eventually make it through- I wish it were quicker.

Forrest is speaking March 16 at Bethel Chapel in Montreal.

Summer 2008

Summer 2008 is just a few months away and planning is well underway.

We are looking for staff:

Core staff who are with us all summer and compensated for their time including counsellors, cooks, and lifeguards ages 17 and up.

Volunteer staff to work as junior counsellors, support staff ( maintenance, kitchen) and administrative office help

ages 14 and up

New this year is day camp, so we are looking for day camp staff as well.

Staffing Questions

Ok so here we go...

If you were on staff in Summer 2007, you have first dibs at being on staff for Summer 2008 if you will let me know by November 15. After November 15 we will begin to open up staff positions for new people and your 'saved' spot is no longer saved.

If you are fourteen and older you can work in the kitchen, on maintenance or apply to be a Junior Counselor.

If you are 17 and older you can apply to be a Senior Counselor.

If you are really talented and have some experience you can apply to be the Assistant Director, the Cook, the Nurse or the Day Camp Coordinator.

For all of you Summer 2007 staffers just a word or caution-- there are a lot of people interested in working this upcoming summer, you need to let me know ASAP whether or not you want your position held.
