abit of everything...that's how it's been these past 2 months...things have been happening pretty thick and fast....the christmas period...new year...my dad's passing...my bro's wedding...and events taking place with friends of mine...both events being on opposite ends of a wide spectrum of possibilities...

firstly, what did i do for new years and christmas? well basically not much...spending time with the family...dinnering together...yet it all feels very fulfilling with the arrival of the new year what resolutions have i made? well, a few actually....

1) spend more time with family, friends, ppl that matter....

2) to continue workin hard and explore business opportunities at any given chance, but also to maintain a balance so that i can achieve item (1)....

3) if possible, to do some meaningful work....could range from anywhere between donating blood to attending some community programmes (though at times we just forget and dun bother)....

perhaps if at the end of 2008 i can look back and say that i've completed the abovementioned, then i would have had a good year...

i attended a funeral last night (too many in a too short a period for me)...it was the passing away of my friend's father and my most sincere condolences to the family...arriving at her house, that weird feeling of hopelessness and inability to do anything bout it came back to me...seeing the familiar plastic blue temporary awnings...even the fan attached there....along with the water packaged in plastic cups...the very same ground nuts....ugh....i realized i'm not much good at digesting such events...regardless of who, what, where, when....but it also reinforced my belief that we shud really all spend more time w our loved ones and not allow ourselves to be overly engrossed in secondary priorities such as work and material items...the sheer pretentiousness of it all, when the best things in life are just the simple things that we all already have, so let's not forget that before it's too late...may she recover from her loss in due time...

on a completely different note, my heartiest congratulations to our dear old evelyn ong on her unexpected (but very much hoped for) wedding proposal and engagement to ben, can't say i know ben very well but congrats to em both anyway!! one of the few bright notes of 2007 for me, eve has been an old fren to many of us and i believe that all of us agree that there's hardly anyone more deserving of such a nice end to the year, well done! *bet eve has suddenly stuffed a whole lot more pressure on the currently attached guys to propose, or give in to RFPs - Request for Proposals hehe stupid term i hear so often at PwC*

to add to that, congrats also to my friend and ex-colleague daniel who recently got married, registration and all...may he have a good time in hong kong with his new wife, phoebe...shall be looking forward to attending your wedding in march bro...all the best to him in his career quest!

it's been a roller coaster year to sum up 2007, i hope 2008 doesn't throw up as many unwelcome surprises...meanwhile, happy new year to all of you guys and girls out there...

it's been a while since i've blogged...and little did i think during the last time i blogged that the next time would be under such circumstances...for those of you that don't already know, my father passed away mid-last month from a sudden heart attack...it came as a painful shock and u never know how it feels till someone so dear to you and the family succumbs to a surprise like that...it has been a testing period for all of us...(especially so as my brother's wedding was just 3 weeks later)...it feels like a weird gap now....with some hope, the wedding celebrations however downtoned, will wash away the grim feeling of having one so close depart

i haven't been able to thank each and every one of you for your kind words of support throughout this period for my family and myself....so i'll just do it here...hope i don't miss anyone...dr chan, aaron, seah, ching szuen, francis, adrian mak, bobby, clement, ho, wong, roger, nasa, waris - i think i've known u guys for a pretty damn long time...more than 10 years each? dr chan i think 15 years or more? thanks to u guys for the support throughout... eve, jen yee, jacko, wy, sarah, jess, han yin...thanks to u ladies too...for my colleagues that sent flowers and all to the house, i am very grateful - shaz and husen too for coming over personally....joel, sean, bryan and daniel extra thanks to u guys for personally carrying it over...also, thanks to zoo ling, sue yee, foong yi for your wishes and putting up with me during the biennial dinner....and suzanne from sg too for your wishes.

just a note for all of you, i think most, if not all of you are actually very family-ppl and that u guys spend alot of time with your families...but try spending that bit more coz u just don't know when your last chance might be and that you might then carry regrets that u can't do anything about...all that said, thanks once again to all of you

been a while since i've blogged...wat to say ar...fugs...between the last time and now....i went to hk w the family...hmm oh yes i've shifted office! and freda, if u ever read my blog can u leave ur hp no here? lost all my phone numbers, then we can have lunch at wisma sime darby....my new office is at One Sentral, kL....i've got a nice table for myself...not exactly my table but being shameless and thick faced i've scattered my namecards all over in the hope that noone wud bother to clean it up and boot me out of the place....

what else...oh yes i need programmmers...anyone got programmers? u can refer em to me for a good introducers' fee....my colleague jessica here is entertaining herself, putting on a tie....and giggling to herself...and she's supposedly smart too growls growls....

will b headed for bangkok on nov 6th-8th w my colleagues! a free trip too, courtesy of a bet w sean lam i shall make more such bets, and earn a few extra dollars that way....what to do in bangkok u might ask....in view of the fact that i'm goin w 3 other guys, ur otak serong will start tot hink of all sorts...BUT, we're just goin for massage, food and drinks so growls no wrong ideas ppl!!!

10.50pm...it's pretty quiet in the house...the family's all gone to singapore to check out my bro's new place (he's settling down at sg coz his work is there)....so chances are i'll b seein alot more of sg soon...famiyls back tmrw so meanwhile it's me home alone...not used to the quietness but it's actually quite refreshing ....once in a while i guess to come back to total peace and no worries...and the internets wonky....i have no idea why i can't go on msn using my own wireless so i end up stealing from neighbours even then their lines are wonky and i'm at their total mercy....

so....been a while since i've blogged....since the last time quite abit has happened....mainly to do with the hijacking of my cheese....goddamn!!! but i'm pretty focused still andhave yet to lose sight of my objectives....got hit w the flu though...bastard johan, told me he had a flu so he couldn't take sitting under the aircon, asked for a swap...now i've been hit...johan if u read my blog, *two fingers up urs* ahahhaa...but then again he might enjoy it...better not...i hate ze flu...mabbe tmrw morningi i shud wake up early and go runnin at the gym....i think if u got da flu push urself that bit more...rite? yeargh

YOU'RE OBVIOUSLY RETARDED....

Yes, YOU, the typical auditor....disgusting....and yes, once again, i'm generalizing and ppl like poor francis get grouped along with the wild animals....it's amazing u think these ppl go thru an education...allow me to describe a particularly annoying incident that happened this morning.... went to office to get something printed....got to the door and put my card to the access reader....BEEP...rejected...well, which is fine...coz shit happens sometimes...so i knock a coupla times expecting there to be a few ppl at least in office...afterall i see light coming out from under the door...

knocked, shouted hello, kicked at the door abit out of frustration and still no reply...heard some childish giggles going on inside....aahh...as expected, the typical disgusting auditor doesn't have the courtesy to just walk over and tag someone in when it's obvious the guy's card isn't working...and so i went back down to G floor where the log in book was, verified that there whore named jessica in PwC on 11th floor....nopes not jessica chia leng hoe (for those of you that know her), BUT SOME RETARDED JESS...%R#@^$@&#&#*....so i went back up and kicked at the door and banged and shouted for about 20 mintues when i heard a very frustrated: "WAIT WAIT"...stupid prostitute...as if i owed her a hellluva lot for just walking a few metres to the door and tagging me in...yet i heard giggles and had to wait a couple more mintues before she opened the door....

and what did i see? well, i saw what i kinda expected....a typical pudgy chinese girl with specs and a look that indicates that her IQ isn't much more than a donkeys, not even a monkey, yes a donkey...and her skinny malay tudung-ed friend...was like wallace n gromit but alot less cute, alot more ugly...and they stared at me...expecting me to kowtow to them or something for opening the door...i told them: thanks, but really, no thanks. could feel them stabbing my back with their fixed stares as i left them there....WHORES MAN...ppl like thse give malaysia and companies a bad name... as much as we say there's alot of emphasis on recruitment and what not, doesn't seem to be the case....we're still quite lax in hiring.n the level of english allround is ATROCIOUS....R#^$@&$&...what a bloody sunday...hate hate hate

it's 3.04am...been up since 2am trying to blog but my keyboard went wonky again...i just don't know why it becomes retarded once in a while...blogging from my office laptop so i'll just say it's GTS's fault...actually went to sleep at 11.30am, bad move...i've always had a history of waking up after a couple of hours if i've gone to bed before midnite...my body clock's abit screwed...THE chong (jen yee) says it's the adrenalin rush from gymming...it could be as well coz i never sleep well on days where i go to the gym/ play futsal...

what have i to blog about? oh yes, i was on leave today...so of course i slept extra long....abit too long actually (woke up at 3pm) BUT....the point i want to raise is that some sick indonesian bastard (i say indonesian coz it sounds indon-ish...but he could really be thai or indian or whatever....just that it's always easier to have a scapegoat, and in this situation it is "the indon")....called me 6 F*CKING TIMES early in the morning...between 8am-9am....it went some thing like this:

I can't quite remember what took place for Calls 5 & 6 but by that time i was basically very frustrated already and even sweating...what a way to get worked up on your break...but really, all i wanna do here is to highlight how retarded some ppl can be....if u dun get ur person upon dialling a number, what makes u think u'll get him by dialling the same number? if 911 wasn't the police, would they be the police on your 2nd call? bloody stupid...

i duno what the hell is wrong with my blog chatbox, it just dies once in a while...and dr chan, pls blog...bout ur new job, ur perving on ur female (and also male) patients, and whatever's going on on ur side...ur gay buddy mr mak was asking at last week's yum cha if anyones heard from u.

how am i gonna survive in office tmrw...sigh...i'm expecting another boring day but i do feel quite motivated to look for work...was at home today but i logged onto sametime (internal messenger program) instead...sigh...addictions...even then the damned internet went down and i was disconnected, leaving me to go to the gym...i can't even sleep now, just had cornflakes.. eargh...tkeybdord wwwwwnonky again...fugs...fug GTs...gnite it isssssssssssss then

What a day.....

it's friday, i cancelled my leave to come back to office and i realize everyone else is going on leave! hah! bloody hell....bad bad bad...blogging in office, seated in an open space too...haha no point trying to hide, fact is it IS a low period...but it's disgraceful ...not used to not having a job to work on, it just feels wrong...hope this short period of joblessness will not affect my bonus...which btw, will be coming out come end-July...had better be decent too or i think i'll just buy a machine gun and kill everyone in office...

what plans have i ffor the weekend? so far none...Jacko Wacko and a bunch of em are going to this new place called "mystique" in the curve tonite...wong's gone to melbourne that b@stard ....one can only imagine how fun it'd be to be in melb by tonite, winter as well....walking alongside the yarra and stopping for coffee...the more one thinks of it....wong = B@STARD AHHAHAHAHa wong if u're reading this u're a B@STARD!!! what right have u to drop ur work and go for a wintery holiday in melb!!! i need a holiday too....if only they'd pay me more....wait, LOTS more...then i could be somewhere nice too...enjoy my HORLEEDAY....alas.....

but it's not all gloomy and shitty, i'm on leave on monday, away from all the dirty sh1ts that are associated with turning up at work on monday....with another 9 days of leave to spare for the year....how wonderful...edging closer to my bonus and holiday in august....it's so boring i dun even know waht to blog about....ohh today i had lunch with a whole new bunch of ppl, improving on my "cross-LOS contacts"....and all females too! now isn't that a good thing! and how lucky of ho to have popped by to join for lunch today haha, he now knows alot more ppl! i now know many financial auditors, some by name some by face....spoke to a guy in the lift today and i realized i didn't know his name...so i called him "BRO" ...chinese names can be pretty irritating, they're bloody difficult to remember...everyone shud just call himself jack or jane if he/she doesn't have an english name and plans to join a big firm with many many people....good job on wong calling himself David...it definitely helps...though i dun think kuah did a good job calling himself richard...hahaha couldn't resist a dig at da kuah...

btw my dept's hiring, anyone interested? we need some fresh grads/ fresh meat/ fresh faces!!! any beautiful younger sisters or nieces that u guys can introduce? well actually even a hideous lady would do as long as she's a fresh grad...then i can pretend to be all seniory and delegate some work downwards too hehe...allows me to COACH!! and in an open conversation few days back, a senior member of my dept actually admitted that pretty girls do get a better chance at work...numerous privileges....and i agree, it definitely helps if u look good...the clients enjoy seeing u more, ur colleagues enjoy talkin to u, everyone's ur best friend....and inevitably, u progress faster....haha and of course ur work has to be decent too...

i can blog and blog for hours....the only two colleagues of mine that aren't on leave today have gone out for hours, lunching at klcc....haha what has become of the worldddddddddd WHATT HASSSSSSSSS!!!! HORREEBLE!!! but i shall not complain too much, chances are before i know it, work will blow up in my face!!! BONUS BONUS BONUS!!! alrrites, shall continue improving on my cross LOS contacts...gonna go chat up random ppl now....
