| Robbed at Gunpoint...It's shocking to see how things can change in an instant, in a split second.... how previous life is and how to never take it forgranted. Last night at 10:30 I was sitting in my bed waiting for Daniel to get off work. A few minutes later he came in the door, walked into the bedroom and said that he had just been robbed at gun point and that the cops would be there in a minute. He said that he was behind our apartment by the dumpster throwing trash away in his car when 2 african american men approched him, one holding a gun, making sure Daniel saw it he told him to give him everything he had. After Daniel handed him his server book (including the $90 he had just earned), he told daniel to start running b/c after 5 minutes he would start shooting. So, Daniel ran away from the guys and found a guy in the laundry room and asked to borrow his phone and called 911. Two minutes after I hear the news I heard a hellicopter circling the neighborhood with it's light down. A few minutes later about 7 security and policemen were at our apt. asking Daniel questions. Daniel kept his composure the entire time. Thank God they only took his $90. They didn't take his car, his wedding band, and most importantly his life. They didn't beat him and even lay a hand on him... Yes, bad things do happen to good people but God was with him, I know it. The robbers think they only took $90 from Daniel, but to me, they took alot more. They took my feeling of safety at my own home. After the cops left we still had to take the dogs out for the nightly business walk. We both walked them together last night. I didn't want him to go alone. Not that I could protect him against 2 very big black men in the dark but b/c I wanted him to know that I was there. Don't take life forgranted! In an instant, everything could change. I thank God he was watching over Daniel last night. | | |

My pirate name is:
Dirty Ethel Rackham
You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!
