5 months later...

So I know that most of you think I am a slacker for not updating this blog, but I am sorry, I always manage to find other things to do.  The past few months have been some of the best days of my life.  And I promise I am going to write a semi-thorough update... later.  :)

Wow.  There is no way I could write an update long enough to let you know what all has been going on in the past month.  I have learned so much about how God's love for us far surpasses any love I could ever have for people.

My Valentine's Day was awesome!  I got up early and practiced percussion, then went to classes and back for my percussion lesson.  Wind Ensemble was a ton of fun, then there was percussion ensemble and an informal recital, topped off by Astronomy lab.  After that, I spent an hour or so watching "LOST," then received a phone call letting me know that someone wanted to drop by and see me after work.  Little did I know that there was a beautiful bouquet of flowers waiting for me in the car.  I love surprises!

Another week gone by...

What a fabulous week this has been.  One of the highlights of my week was yesterday...

We had a pep band game, and even though we lost, it was a ton of fun!

Rachael and I cooked dinner (a pasta casserole chickeny thing) for Ryan, Erik and Travis.  Doesn't it look good?

After dinner, the guys made cookies...

...which became ice cream sandwiches, which were absolutely delicious!

some more fun pictures...

Quote of the Day: "Hey Diddle Jack Horner sat in the corner eating to fetch a pail of water." (said the See 'n' Say that is in the nursery at church)

My last week of freedom before classes started:

Friday: moved in; stored my food at Ryan and Erik's since my fridge and freezer had been unplugged over break; ate my frozen dinner barbecue pizza at Ryan and Erik's and played Guitar Hero II for the first time

Saturday: Pep Band played at men's basketball game against Kennesaw State (we won by three points in double overtime!); dinner with Amanda; scrapbooked at Amanda's apartment while she and Rachael did computer-y stuff; played BuzzWord at Ryan and Erik's with Erik, Travis, Kandi, Brad, Amanda, and Rachael (Amanda, Rachael and I dominated!)

Sunday: Church (my family came!) and lunch; Anna came to visit; dinner at Meagan's with Meg, Jared, Travis, Anna, and Rachael (we had chicken, rice, mac & cheese, and broccoli); Oasis with Anna, Rachael, Ryan and Erik; hung out at Ryan and Erik's with Anna and Rachael: Guitar Hero II tournament Anna and Erik vs. Ryan and me, good times

Monday: Work; Lunch with Thomas; Bookstore; saw "The Prestige" at the $1.50 Theatre with Rachael, Ryan, Erik, and Travis; CiCi's Pizza: Rachael and I got the kids 10 and under discount because she asked for it

Tuesday: Set for pep band; Work; Shelby came to visit!; Lunch with David, Thomas, Shelby, Rachael and Erik; more work; set band room; Dinner with Thomas, Anna and Rachael; Pep Band (we lost to ETSU); Oasis with Anna, Rachael, Ryan, Erik, Travis and Little.

Tomorrow: Music History, Work, Wind Ensemble and Percussion Ensemble.  Woot!

Chapstick + Sink = Bad

Talent of the Day: After I finished brushing my teeth, I got my chapstick out of the drawer, and it promptly rolled off the counter and down the sink drain, where it remains stuck.  Imagine my embarassment as I walked down the hallway and wrote on the maintenance report: "Chapstick fell down the sink drain, clogging up sink, unable to get out."  Do you know what makes it even worse?  I didn't even get to use my chapstick before it slipped down the drain.
