wow. i think thats the longest i've gone w/o updating. the school year is almost over, the trees are starting to bloom, the temperature is getting warmer...this can only mean two things...girls will be wearing less clothing and my bday is near..coincidence?

this yr was the big 2-1...no more giant X's on my hands after thursday night at LOVE, no more drinking in the parking lot only to lose the buzz in the long ass line to get in, and no longer be paranoid about popo showing up at parties...finally! thanks to all who came out to celebrate and for all the greetings.

hey all, school sucks. maybe its because i haven't been able to balance work and play to the best of my abilities...work hard play hard has turned into..what work, where the party at?! ....basically there has been a party every friday for the past few weeks...ill let these pics tell the story.

hey hey long time no update..i know. it's just that there wasn't that much interesting stuff going on over the summer to update about...nothing interesting = no pics. as we all know a xanga update w/o pics is lame and leads to 0 e props. so with that being said....

summer 05 was boring in the sense that i didn't travel abroad anywhere this year. however, time was not wasted. i gained valuable experience working as a lab researcher at the neuroscience lab at the children's national medical center. I'm still working there during the school year twice a week and will hopefully start my research thesis project soon.

wow, im a junior now. those 2 years flew by really fast. it's time to make things count. finally out of the dorms, living at courtyards. Had a few problems with the condition of the place in the begining, but props to Jonathan for making moves and getting the place right. We're still in the process of ikeaifying the place so shorties will come over.

the first few days of school have been fine, classes/ teachers are ok. here are the pics.

hello hello. this past weekend was fun-filled. weekends have new meaning now that i have joined the workforce. the huslte and bustle of the 8-5 monday through friday will wear one out. As a result, upon arriving at the apartment, not many options are available for relaxation because 1.) i am too tired to go out 2.) if i wasn't tired, theres nothing interesting to do besides go to the driving range or to showcase because im not 21 yet and 3.) im broke. speaking of money..i got my first paycheck..all i can say is...taxes are a blower!...anyway..here are some pics from the weekend's festivities..

Greetings all,

a lot has happend since my last update. Most notable is that i finally got a job. Im currently working at Children's National Medical Center in D.C. as a lab researcher in Dr. Sutherland's Neuroscience lab, which is a branch of the institute for neuroscience research at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Bethesda. Our lab mainly deals with neurodegenerative diseases, specifically, Alzheimer's, Huntington's, and Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). A lot of the research is based on experiments using mouse models. I just started last monday and so far i have been studyiing cell fractionations by conducting western blot analysis. It's interesting because i learned about this stuff in genetics and now im actually getting hands on experience with it. Although this job only pays $9.50/hr (pretty good for my first job EVER), im mostly in it for the experience to pad my resume up. Other people in my lab are Ph.D students who are conducting various research projects for their dissertations, which may be published. i should've started trying to get this clinical experience way earlier. Nonetheless, being in that environment is really inspiring, from seeing many young doctors in the cafeteria to overhearing a conversation in the elevator between principal investigators about their latest findings or future projects. It's surreal to think about that the research being done around me may potentially save the lives of many people in the future.

In other news, i also finally got new glasses..i can see again!...i also got contacts....wow contacts have changed my life...now i can tell if a girl is actually hot or just "butter"

Also, due to the fact that i have joined the workforce and may take a summer class, i am currently residing in courtyards 532 for the summer,

yeah yeah, im sharing a room, but i use an airbed...see look..so don't get it twisted bamas..

come visit, cuz ill actually be here during the summer time for once...

While i was waiting to get my hurr did, i read an old diamondback article about cinco de mayo, it seems a majority of the people on campus, don't know what it is exactly, they just think its another excuse to party and drink coronas and mr.cuervo. Actually it's a celebration of mexico's victory over french forces during a significant battle for mexico's independence. bam one time for your mind! What a huge coincidence that such a crucial point in history happend on my birthday.woot woot! Since were talking about history, the mortal kombat birthday beat down tradition also started last yr on..thats right u guessed it, my birthday. the stunts have become more and more impressive as each person's birthday comes and goes, but this came out of nowhere. After bowling on tuesday night MAY 3 (just a tad bit too early, if u ask me) as i was walking back to the dorm with jonathan and joe they grab my arms as a throng of people come charging at me with birthday punches.(p.s. watch out for jayson on a skateboard..he punches below the belt )..2 days prior to my actual bday so that i couldnt put on my down jacket to ease the pain of the punches like last yr....
