I am now in Sai Gon after 2 hectic weeks in the countryside! It was fun, but boring at times.
Today, I met my real dad for the first time in 15 years. I was really nervous before this, but when I met him... it was normal, I felt like I've known him since forever. I felt happy. A feeling that I've been missing the last 15 years... a father figure.

This is from last week, continuing my stay in Viet Nam. This town that I grew up in has changed so much, I missed the leaf roofs, and soil floor, hehe... but I hope it's changing for the better.
My Aunt 7 just came back, now the house is packed with love and reconnections, cousins, aunts, uncles, everythangggggg!!!
We all went visited my grandma's tomb to pay respects. I miss you grandma!!! Please watch over me and guide me to my dream life! hehe. She was a great woman, mom, and grandma. She gave birth and raised 10 children. My mom is the 9th. And now, I think grandma is really happy to see many grandchildren coming back and visit her, also her sons and daughters.
on our way...
me and cousin Thao
aunt 7 crying, she misses grandma too! Everyone was emotional.
lighting up the incense to pray...
the happy grand-children...
and a group picture of everyone!
on our way to my other cousin's husband's house...
they have so many asian fruit trees, like this one called Chứng Cá...
close up of the ripe ones, I always eat it when I was younger...
So, turns out my real dad didn't fly down to see me yet, he lives in Sai Gon, which is where I will be soon after staying in the countryside with my cousins.
I don't wanna talk about him because he is not worth my entry, lol. BUT whatever happens, happens... I'm old enough to decide.
I am at the internet cafe AGAIN, god. I have over 25 mosquito bites. *cries* AND the hot, humid weather gave me a few breakouts too. my god! I feel so ugly! I have about 10 more days until I can go up to Sai Gon, it'll be better since it's the city! goodness!!! So lonely and boring here.... but it's still nice to be around families and enjoy the rural bliss.
Speaking of rural bliss, I got to shower in the rain the other day, it's called tấm mưa... we just run around town when it rains heavily, and of course we shower again afterwards. But, I felt like a kid again. No worries, no cares, no responsibilities.
Here is a few pictures from visiting my grandpa...
cousin Dieu, and myself... on the bike, we must wear safety hats
switched bike, cousin D, little sis Jessica, and mommy
grandpa, step-dad, Jessica, and mommy
myself and grandpa
time
riding back home, lol... I'm rolling up my sleeves trying to get a tan!
brother and sister, my cousin V and L
by the river
it was getting cloudy and began to rain...
got home, took a little nap
haha showering in the rain, with cousin L and little nephew, OMG I'm an uncle!
I'm in the internet Cafe right now cause my cousins' house doesn't have internet, since they're in the lower south, countryside. I have so MUCH mosquito bites, damn!
I'm staying in the countryside with my family for the first 2 weeks.. then I will go back up to Ho Chi Minh City (Sai Gon) by myself for the rest 3 weeks.
this time around I will possibly be meeting my REAL dad for the first time in 15 years, since he left me and my mom.
long story short, it's a bit of everything, the classic story of mother-in-law doesn't like the bride, blah blah.. but they love me.. and my real dad's side is pretty financially stable, so my dad's mom always gives him money to go out and party to sabotage the relationship...
and ah... TOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!! too much dramas in between.
NOW he just called down the countryside tonight asking for me, but WTF?! how the hell he knows that I am down here and, how the hell did he know my cousins' house number. SOMETHING IS FISHY.
I am afraid he might fly down from Sai Gon tomorrow morning...and I would be facing him sooner than I want to. I don't feel anything, he's practically a stranger.
The concert was amazing! Kanye, you changed my life!
It's not just a show, it's a journey... literally! The music and lighting was captivating and flow so well together!
His music has substance and depth, and Rapping is just a medium he use to convey it.
At the beginning when Lupe, Pharrell, and Rihanna did their opening acts, I was standing in front of stage, so it was very hard to take pictures, because securities were even more there!
Rihanna's new haircut is HOT. a semi-mohawk with bangs swept to the side in front!
I screamed: WE LOVE YOU RIHANNA, WE LOVE YOUR HAIR!!!!
She looked at me 3 times and smiled!
Anyhow, here are a few pictures taken when Kanye started...
Linda and I. it was so hot, I was dancing! My hair is all messed up. lol
throw your hands up in the sky!
KT and I.... we kept running back and forth to front stage and back to our seats, lol
TOUCH THE SKY!
his spaceship was awesome!!
Here, he is thanking us all for coming. Also, he encourages us to pursue our dreams and fuck the haters!
hehe, I love my Kanye fan! I grabbed 3. lol!
our asian CREW! ;P
I also bought a T-shirt as souvenir for memory! aha...
At the end of the show, they gave away Kanye's book for FREE!!!
The book came out 3 months ago, I was gonna order it... but so happy they gave it away for free, I took 2 copies!!
front of shirt.
back of shirt.
The book is called "THANK YOU AND YOU'RE WELCOME" it contains personal proverbs and inspirational quotes that Kanye lives by.
and the book's cover glows in the dark too!!!! leave it under the light for 5 minutes then turn off the lights, the letter glows!!!
