The time has come for me to return to the work force.  I am looking forward to work, but am also sad to see that I will no longer spend all of my time with my baby girl.  Fortunately for us, my girlfriend has offered to look after our daughter.  I was beginning to get worried as a lot of the daycares I called were not what I expected.  I now have the peace of mind that my daughter is in good, loving and very capable hands!

Haven't been doing much lately.  With the gorgeous weather, baby and I have been out on walks.  I am soooo out of shape!  Chasing a baby around provides somewhat of a workout, but not really.  Once it gets warmer and brighter we'll be able to do our daily walks in the neighbourhood.

Guess I'll work on some crafts to pass some time.  Not sure what to make for dinner!?  Feeling a bit lazy.

How sad!  I am so not good at keeping this updated!  Christmas has come and gone (no shit, it's already February).  My baby girl is just getting over her first ear infection, cough and cold and teething episode!  I thought her skipping naps was rough!  I hope she doesn't get sick ever again!!!!!!  Well, it's Chinese New Years Eve and we have decided to stay home tonight for dinner.  So what's on the menu?  Hmmmm, I'm going to make shredded cold chicken over crispy wonton wrappers.  It's soooo yummy.  My mom is making spicy pepper prawns.  I'm going to the market soon and will see if they have any fresh crabs.  Oh, duty calls!  Until next time.

So sad, my trial Premium Xanga is over!  The pretty pictures will be gone!

It has been a busy week!

Here's the completed scarf.  I didn't have the same tension at the end, so I noticed that it wasn't even.  Oh well.

This is a sweater I knit for my baby girl.  It was a really easy pattern.  The verigated yarn was perfect for this pattern.

I'm trying to finish a little vest for baby by Christmas!

I was at the mall with my MIL, MIL's friend and SIL yesterday.  Baby and I took a little ride on the train.

On Sunday, we were invited to our friends (the Wongs) for a hot pot dinner!  It's so interesting to see how other people hot pot.  We love to hot pot!  It's such a healthy and fun meal!

Next week will be busy!!!  On Wednesday, I'm heading downtown for a business lunch.  The lawyer I work for asked me to join him for lunch with my clients (I'm on mat leave till  May 2005).  That was really nice of him to include me!  So my MIL will baby sit!  I've made plans with a couple of girls from the office on Thursday.  Tammy is on mat leave as well and Sonya just went back to work last month.  On Friday, we are going to the Yungs for dinner (which I'm cooking).  I feel tired just thinking about it!

Oh and yesterday, we were invited to a party at Doug and Suz on the 18th!  They are super fun to be with!  Suz's place is out on the UBC Endowment Lands.  Their house is big and beautiful and they are fabulous hosts!  My mmm was the infamous blender party!  (I'm aka "Blender Girl").  When the party dwindled to 7, we all got into the hot tub and continued the party there!  The good old days!  (I am now a responsible parent! ha ha)

Better get crackin on my baby's vest!

I'm feeling guilty about using this blog site to rant and rave about stuff.  I should really focus my energy on more positive aspects of my life.  I'll try my best!

My newest hobby is crocheting!  I spend way too much money on my hobbies!  I can easily drop $100 on my crafts, but can hardly get myself to spend $40 on a piece of clothing!  Argh!  Decisions, descisions.

I'm totally looking forward to going out with hubby (sans bebe)!  Yippee!  Our friend Bill called us for an impromptu get together tonight at Earls on Lougheed.  I'm not crazy about the food there, so I'll probably eat at home before we go.  We'll see our usualy group of friends.  It will be nice.  Hopefully, I won't have too much resistence from hubby when it's time to go home.  He always has too much fun and never wants to leave.  But at least it's a weeknight, so he should know better.

Tomorrow I'll be heading downtown to get together with a lawyer I used to work with and several of my co-workers.  We used to call ourselves the "dream team" because we get along so well (better off the clock than on, of course).

Then on Sunday we'll be going to my friends place for a Christmas get together.  We'll be meeting three new couples all with baby boys!  My baby girl will be the bell of the ball!  The host and hostess have a 12 month old boy as well, so there will be four boys and our little girl!  I made some mini quiches for the party.  I hope there is enough to go around!

Better get some lunch in me before baby wakes up!
