Day 2

He is: GOD ALONE

"Now the whole world had one language and a common speech.  As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.  They said to each other, 'Come, let's make bricks and bake them throughly.'  They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar.  Then they said, 'Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.'  But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower that they were building.  The LORD said, 'If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.  Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.'  So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth, and they stopped building the city.  That is why it was called Babel- because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world.  From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth."  -Genesis 11:1-9

"The people of Shinar made elaborate plans to build a high tower to reach the heavens.  They were confused enough to believe they could bridge the gap between heaven and earth.  'But the LORD came down' (v.5) to foil their prideful plans.  God alone paves the way between divinity and humanity.  Are you striving to build a tower to reach God?  Don't be confused thinking your passions, possessions or positions will get you to heaven.  'The LORD came down' and died on a cross so that you don't have to build anything but a personal relationship wtih him."  - True Identity

I'm so glad that we don't have to build a tower to get to God!  There is no acceptance rituals or any sort of hazing to be near with God in a personal relationship- all you have to do is accept the fact that you are a sinner, and accept Christ's sacrafice on the cross to cleanse you of your sins!  It's an amazing gift that is absolutly free- No strings attached!  He loves you and He wants everyone to know of His amazing love, that's why it's free!

True Identity: The Bible For Women- Becoming Who You Are In Christ (Today's New International Version)
By Livingstone Corporation
see related

So I got then new great bible for women called True Identity, and it has a reading plan called "30 days of 'He is'" and I decided I would read through those and learn more about my Fathers character.  And I will share those with you and some other stuff that I kinda pull from it.  I pray in some way that it will help some of you to learn more about Him!!

Day 1

He is: CREATOR

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."  -Genesis 1:1

"Meet God, the creator of everything.  He who decided that things should be and they were.  He who set the hangds of time in motion.  The One whose imagination created the heavens and the earth and all they contain: starts, plants, seasons, trees.... penguins.  When he reviewed his creations, God saw that 'it was very good' (v. 31).  God, who created everthing, created everyone- including you.  You may look in the mirror and see flaws.  But God designed every freckle, every wrinkle, every crinkle and even the hairs on your heade (see Luke 12:7).  When he created you, he considered it 'very good.'  Do you?" -True Identity

One more thing to think about when you look into the mirror, He created you in His image!!!  He didn't just throw some hair, skin, pair of green eyes in a bowl and pour it out guessing what to get- No, he put you together intimately and specifically in an arrangement that would represent Him!  Check it out, it says this all in the Bible: Genesis 1:27 and Psalm 139: 14 (you can look it up on your own!   For you lazy ladies, you can check it out on www.newlivingtranslation.com online)  He created you in HIS image!!!  You were made beautifully!  Created in the image of the Creator!  That's pretty special when someone takes enough time to design a creation that would look exactly as ones self!  So when you look in the mirror, don't let Satan yell in your ear and say "Look at that nasty face, with grody hair and crooked ears," but rather listen to God's gentle, loving whisper saying, "You look beautiful today becuase you look like Me!"

Dear Father, thank you for all these beautiful ladies that take time to read this!  I pray that in some way, you can touch each one of their hearts and bring them near to you.  Help them to know that when they look in the mirror, they are looking at You, Your beauty in Your creation!  Lord, thank you for creating us all so uniquely beautiful!  In your loving name, Amen.

Some FOOD for thought:

"There is so much more we would like to say about this. But you don't seem to listen, so it's hard to make you understand.  You have been Christians a long time now, and you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things a beginner must learn about the Scriptures.  You are like babies who drink only milk and cannot eat solid food.  And a person who is living on milk isn't very far along in the Christian life and doesn't know much about doing what is right.  Solid food is for those who are mature, who have trained themselves to recognize the difference between right and wrong and then do what is right."    -Hebrews 5: 11-14

->  We should always be seeking other ways to expand out walk with God.  We hear the same things over and over about being saved, yes, we alreayd know that stuff.  Now it's time to move on and find out about ways we can grow and help save other people.  The best place to find all the information you need on that is the BIBLE (Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth- hehe!)

"Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength?  Why pay for food that does you no good?  Listen, and I will tell you where to get food that is good for the soul."  -Isaiah 55:2

->  Listen, and I will tell you where to get food that is good for the soul!!!!  Sweet!  That prolly means listen to what Isaiah was saying to the people....  More speficically listen to what God has to say!  God has a lot to say!!!  Not only did He write a whole book of instruction for us (Bible!), but He is constantly talking to us, you just have to be in conversation with him!  Pray!  I don't know about you all, but I know I'm always hungry!!!!!!
