The Gift

The Gift

This morning I received the coolest picture or vision of God’s heart and our pursuit of Him. I hope and pray that God will speak to you though it.

It is like a present that you are given at Christmas except for one thing, this particular gift is from your Father, God. When you know who is giving you the gift you start to think about what that loved one would give you. Then you see the large size of the gift and feel how heavy it is. Your mind begins to wonder though the possibilities of the contents, but you still do not know for sure what it is. Then you begin ripping though the wrapping paper that binds the meticulously wrapped box and conceals its contents. Could it be the books you wanted to read? Yes, it is written down…but!!! Instead of the books you asked for….it is God’s written love letters to you!!! In it He tells you how he sees you, expresses His intense love in ways you never knew, and shows you His will and heart for you in the upcoming time and seasons in your life.

You are elated at this unexpected gift from God’s heart, but wait, there’s more! It looks to be about the size of a cd, but this is not an ordinary cd. It is the songs that God sings over you and the songs He wishes for you to sing back to him. He pours out, in song, His heart for you and how He longs for you to praise His name. You feel drawn close to God’s heart as you listen to Him speak and sing into and over your previously cold heart.

There seems to be one more small, jewelry size box that escaped your attention. You carefully untie the ribbon and open the box to find a ring from your Father sealing you as His bride. It is of pure gold with a stone of priceless worth representing the purity God wishes for you to have and the purity with which he views you through Christ. This ring seals your future. Through this ring, God expresses His faithfulness and commitment to always be there for you and with you.

He says “I promise to cherish and love you through thick and thin, in sickness and in health, in poverty and plenty, whether you are “popular” or not, whether you perform the right way all the time or not. My love is unconditional. Whatever condition you are in I love you and am there for you. I am faithful. I will encourage you. I will be your supply. I will surround with my presence. I will protect you under the shadow of wings. My love is not changeable. When I choose to love, no human or circumstance can shake that love. There are no obstacles you cannot face when we face it together. If you try to face life on your own you will fail. You will fall on your face. Surrender to me and together, in my power, we can accomplish anything.  I will accomplish my will. Do you want to come with me? Do you want to be my humble servant? Do you want to be a part of what I am about to do? I am going to fulfill my purposes with or without you, but I would love for you, my child, to come along side me. To learn from me. To sit at my feet and hear my heart. Do you feel lonely? I will be your friend and comforter. Do you feel weak? I will be your strength. I can you do more then you could ever imagine and more then you will ever know, but I have to have one thing from you. Surrender. You have to yield EVERYTHING. I only use broken vessels. If you will be broken and humble before me, I will take those shattered pieces and make it something I can fill with my Holy Spirit.

This is my vow to you, my bride. This is what my ring represents. Take it and remember my promises that I vow to you by this ring. I am faithful to every word I say. All I ask is that you surrender, and trust me and my strength to sustain every breathe you take.

These are my gifts to you, my child. Please open them! This is life.”
