Dressed in a sleeveless blouse with red shorts, I am sitting here wondering what am I going to do to pass time. Yes…I am being very ‘mou liu’. It is my final semester already, I really can’t just let time past me by just like this. There has to be something that I would like to do, or get done. Let me think…

Ah…yes. Things I wanna do before I go to work:

Have a vacation by the beach with friends and family

It has been a long time since I last visited the beach. I miss the sea and the wind so much. I want to go snorkeling again! Who knows, I might meet a cute guy or two…Haha. Just kidding! I love lazing by the beach, sleeping under the sun and enjoy the breeze, play by the shore, (I don’t built sand castles), wear my vacation clothes…In case you are wondering, what are my vacation clothes?? It is kind of like a sarong with small singlet. Very nice and cooling, especially for hot weathers like Malaysia. Oh, how I miss the sea! - Reminds me of the movie “MoMo-Cha”.

Have a great time at Alvin’s wedding

I am planning to wear a cheongsam (Chinese traditional clothing). It is black in colour with dragon and phoenix embroidery. I am kinda worried I might look a little old-fashioned. What the heck…I shouldn’t worry so much. I think I’ll look great…stunning too!

Finish my studies and graduation project with “A’s”

Ambitious, aren’t I? Haha. I think I like being ambitious…gives me more pressure to perform better. Since it’s my last semester, I am giving my best efforts to excel in my remaining subject.

Participate in a blood donation drive

Hope that I will have the guts to donate my blood this time. Oh…I must pass the test too! I hope that I can pass the weight and blood pressure test. Yes…I can do it! Gambateh!

Have a fantastic Wesak Day

This year, I want to have a successful wesak day. May everything go smoothly, and may the sale of candles sky rocket. Haha.

Have a good time at the CFC

I am assigned to help out at cafeteria. Food…yes, I love food. Not so much on cooking them. Actually, that week is going to be a busy one with my cuzzie wedding in tow, and CFC plus college class. Oh my god.

Have a gathering with my friends and have smashing time!

I feel bad everytime I have to turn down my friends. Sorry guys…I promise I will try my best in meeting up with you all again soon.

Try out a new recipe

Any cake recipes to recommend? I need a simple one that has easy to find ingredients. I welcome all your ideas…thanks!

I actually tried my hand in making a poem for my mother. Poetry is not really my kind of thing, so it is a BIG thing for me to have at least a go at it. Haha. Try to give some encouraging comments ok?

I got a new puppy at home! His name is Dr Spock aka Scrawny Boy. My dad gave him that name, he said it was from a character in Star Wars – the guy with the pointy ears. Tinkerbelle seems to be okay with him. She only wants him to stay away from her territory. Everytime he comes near her area, she will chase him out.

We picked him up, after seeing him wandering around the neighbor’s lawn, he is such a scrawny looking fella. He looks like he hasn’t eaten for days!

I just don’t understand about the people nowadays, they have such little compassion for animals. It angers me just thinking about how irresponsible these people are. A few weeks ago, my parents found a puppy with a hole in his stomach, he was such a weak little thing. He was abandoned by an irresponsible bastard of an owner.

How can people be so cruel and heartless!! The puppy is innocent and helpless, yet you still choose to abandon him. < referring to the former owner

I have always heard about people abandoning their dogs or animals after they find that it is too much a burden for them. Just imagine, after you get tired of taking care of our children, you just throw them away? What type of person in the right frame of mind would do this to a poor helpless animal?

Sometimes, I think the media is also to blame. Doggy movies make people have the wrong impression of dogs. They think that they’re just cute and furry little bundles of joy. The thing is, they also come with lots of responsibility. Dogs like humans, need loads of love, and the basic – food, shelter, grooming and lots of attention.

Cuzzie Wedding

Last Saturday, it was the day my cuzzie said “bye-bye” to bachelorhood and leave his single days behind him for good.

Usually, wedding dinners are held indoors or in hotels, something of those sorts. However, it was different this time, my cuzzie had invited us to have an outdoor wedding dinner at Linggi.

Linggi, from my place can be considered quite a drive away. So, the Loo family decided to start the journey together. It took about two hours to get to our destination. We were all dressed to the nines, especially our auntie.

We were a little too early…which was not considered nice. I got to know about that taboo after the dinner, it seems that according to the Chinese customs - the men’s family are supposed to arrive later and leave early. What an absurd idea! Personally, I’m not sure how these customs thingy are made. But, they can be quite a nuisance at times!

I am surprised to find that it was held at a small village community hall. Although embarrassed to admit it, but I felt a bit overdressed. I brushed away the sense of awkwardness and decided to enjoy myself. And I certainly did, I had loads of fun with my cousins…we were practically laughing our heads off.

Our feng shui table wasn’t really good though, we were situated directly facing the amplifiers. The villagers loved to sing and they really sang thru the night. It wasn’t that their singing that annoyed us, but the amplifiers that were way too loud. Some songs were most inappropriate…bad choice!

My cousin brothers at the dinner, was pushing me to sing on the stage. Don’t they know that I get stage fright!! When it comes to drinking, I think the groom (my cuzzie) must thank my other cuzzies for helping him out. Or else, I think he will be knocked out before the dinner ends. Haha. We were the loudest and craziest bunch amongst the crowd. People must think that all city slickers are crazy judging by their impression of us. <wink>

Yesterday, I participated in an event in conjuction with YTL Climate Change Week. It was a free screening on a film on environmental awareness entitled "The 11th Hour" by Leonardo DiCaprio. I have to admit after watching the movie it really gave me a sense of guilt and awareness of my role in saving the Mother Earth and ultimately all mankind.

It occured to me that we have to make people around us more aware of the current crisis we are in. It's called the environmental crisis. We, as Human, always perceived ourselves to be the superior of all living things in the world. That is so so so wrong. Who are we to decide?

"Friendly" problem

Hello…I’m back. This holiday has been a real bore for me. Quite disappointing actually. I expected to do many things and have loads of fun. Unfortunately, it didn’t go that way. However, there is something new. I just found out that my friend is hinting at something to me. I don’t quite like the looks of it.

Personally, sometimes I wonder whether I have problems when it comes to relationship thingy. This is not surprising though, I am brought up in a very strict family. There is something about my family values that makes me who I am today. I have no regrets although…because my friends have once said that I can very intimidating to the opposite sex when it comes to relationships.

Not that I am doing anything about it. But, recently I found out that my friend is hinting at something. I am really cracking my head, just thinking about how to put things nicely for him. I haven’t always been nice to those whom have approached me in the subject of starting a relationship.

Am I being a little too friendly? or sending out the wrng message? I'm so blur.

However, this time I decided to be nice. At least, I’ll try to be. He didn’t seem very serious about it though. It just came as a surprise to me though, because I am older than him. Thinking about this, actually makes me laugh because I feel he is kind of silly. I feel really bad for him, he was heartbroken twice. Now, I’m guessing he is looking for a replacement. Now, this is where he is wrong, looking for a replacement to replace that hurt is never the solution in my opinion. In fact, I’m thinking now that he is totally lost. This poor friend of mine has lost his direction; he is looking so desperate at the moment. I know this is being mean of me. I am not the kind of girl that’s going to lead him on, when I know it’s not going to work out.

So, I’m thinking of having a good talk with him - Man to man. Well, kind of anyway. I don’t want to ruin his ego. At the same time, I think I want to tell him to set his priorities straight. I am certainly not the kind of girl for him. 200% inappropriate. Not sure if he understands, but I really hope he does. I don’t want to sacrifice our friendship due to some simple thing. I have been friends with all my ex-crushes and admirers. I think it’s all for the best after all. <wink>

Wish me all the luck in making him understand.

waffles

Today, I made waffles for my family. I don’t know why it doesn’t turn out as fluffy as the one’s in A&W. This time I tried to make it fluffier by adding a teaspoon of baking powder. But still to no avail. Sigh…

Anyone got any good ideas on how to make nice waffles, you know, the kind that is fluffy inside and crispy outside. I’m cracking up my head just thinking about it. So far, I only used the ready made flour then just add some eggs and water. The end result is always a thick and soft waffle. So disappointing for me…

I even purposely got myself a waffle maker. My family got hooked onto waffles ever since we took our first in A&W. Now, since I’m in-charge of baking in the house, I guess I have to take the responsibility to make the perfect waffles.

So, anyone with some good ideas, please share them with me. Thanks.

This book could be a good read, it talks about a young girl, nine that lives with her foster parents and steals books. The story happens during the bombing in Nazi Germany.

This romance novel may prove to be an interesting read judging by it’s title.

Judging by its blurb, this could be a book worth buying.

Thrillers are not really my type, but this book triggered my interest.

This best-seller could make my trip to the bookstore worthwhile.

Raging Hormones by Masao Usui

A book to make me laugh…it talks about everything that doesn’t prepare you for the game of dating.

It has been a pretty long while since i went to sunday school. I kinda feel bad about it, after all I am a teacher in the school. hehe...so i'm feeling a little guilty not doing my rightful duty.

My kids are so cute today, i guess that they kinda missed me. Hehe. Makes me sound so perasan pulak. I had to update myself entirely about all the happenings in the temple. People have been noticing i've disappeared for wuite awhile. So, i needed to reimburse myself. I cleared up some of the things i was supposed to get done for the resource room. Done. I thought carefully on my following teaching schedule with my co-teachers. I had to make time for my family and friends gatherings.

Oh, wesak day is coming. As usual i'll be helping out in the temple this year. Hopefully, i'll make a wish and go for blood donation this year. I have finally put on enough weight to meet the requirement. I have been doing some thinking lately, i know that i'm about to finish my studies soon. very soon. I am thinking whether i am prepared to meet the working world. There is alot of things going on in my mind. I think it's about time, i start growing up to meet with the world. I want to make it for real. I guess it's only due to my expectations that make me ponder about what the future has in store for me.

It's finally my holidays already. So, now i can finally make up my mind what i want to do during my free time. The holidays is not really long. So, if my friends out there reading this, please let me know if you want to meet up with me soon. Oh, something new about me, I got a new haircut. I cut my hair short again. So, looking kinda cute. More like an apple. Haha.
