  • Psalm 24

God keeps bringing this Psalm to my attention in the last few days, so I thought I'd share it on here. Hope it speaks to you too. In His Love, Michelle

The earth is the Lord's, and all it's fullness, the world and those who dwell therein. For He has founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the waters.

Who may ascend unto the hill of the Lord? Or who can stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive blessing from the Lord. And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Your face.     Selah

Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory.     Selah

  • Identity in God

    Mike Bickle Continued…

The Lord told David to go to Hebron and only take a little bit of the kingdom. There were twelve tribes of Israel, and Hebron represented only one. God was testing and training David once again. He wanted David to find his identity in God, not in being king of Israel. Therefore, God only released a partial fulfillment of the full destiny promised to him. God will do this to us, too. It’s an agonizing experience, but it builds incredible patience in us. David spent seven more years limited to the city in Hebron. Still, he didn’t become angry with God for making him wait through another season of testing. He knew the Lord would give him all of Israel when it was time. He was after the perfect will of God and would not settle for less. The only reason David could act this way lay in his identity: being king of Israel was not the key to his sense of importance. And we too will triumph in the lesson of Hebron when we see we are already successful before God and don’t strive for success before men by going after position and honor.

God wants you to find your identity in God, not in earthly success.

Teach me, Father, that the accumulation of blessings that you have brought into my life pale in importance to the intimate relationship You long to share with me. Let me dwell in Hebron, the place of partial fulfillment of Your destiny for me, content to find my identity in You and You alone.

  • revival

Many people express an interest in revival. There are not so many deeply concerned about it, and fewer still burdened for it, still fewer heartbroken for it. Yet, spiritual revival is not an alternative for the nations right now. It is imperative.

  • Seeking the Lord's Heart First

In the course of time, David inquired of the Lord. "Shall I go up to one of the towns of Judah?" he asked. The Lord said, "Go up." David asked, "Where shall I go?" "To Hebron," the Lord answered.----2 Samuel 2:1 (NKJV)

    Mike Bickle wrote this:

After approximately seven difficult years in the wilderness, the season finally changed with the death of King Saul. David came out of the desert at about thirty years of age. Upon hearing of Saul’s death, his first response might have been, “At last, I can be king over all Israel!” His men jumped to this assumption. They cried with a sense of relief, “David! You’re finally king. Let’s move in.” But David did the unexpected thing. He sought God’s heart. He demonstrated what people who are intimate with God do before making big decisions. An open door in the natural stood before him, but he refused to enter it without the direct leading of the Lord. Beloved, this is how we must behave! Just because things seem to be falling together doesn’t mean the right time has come. We must sense in our spirits and discern if an open door is of God or if it leads down a false path. The Holy Spirit will give us wisdom about this at the time of decision.

Father, as you lead me from place to place, from season to season, give me clear vision and focused thinking so that I can only move through doors that You have opened for my life.

We must never think we can advance willy-nilly without seeking the Lord’s heart for a situation

    Will continue this later....

  • Consider what Christ is to you!

Thomas Vincent (1634—1678), "Love to the Unseen Christ
    "

Christian! Consider what Christ is to you!

Christ is your Shepherd—He feeds you in green
pastures. He has laid down His life for His sheep.
Will you not love such a Shepherd?

Christ is your Captain—who has conquered all
your enemies for you, and leads you on to take
the spoils. Will you not love such a Leader?

Christ is your Prophet—who teaches you the
most excellent things which ever were taught,
the highest mysteries, the most glorious truths,
which are of the greatest concern to know and
believe! He teaches you in the most excellent
way—by His Word and Spirit; opening your
understandings as well as His truths, giving
you light and an eye to discern this light.
Will you not love such a Teacher?

Christ is your High Priest—who has made an
atoning sacrifice for your sins to reconcile you
unto God. He now makes intercession for you
—which is incessant and prevalent. Will you
    not love such an Advocate?

Christ is your King—who rules you most
    wisely,
    powerfully,
    righteously and graciously. Will you
    not love such a Sovereign?

Christ is your Benefactor—the most kind and
bountiful. No gifts are comparable unto His gifts!
Will you not love such a Friend?

Christ is your Brother—if He is not ashamed
to own you for His brothers and sisters—will it
not be a shame if you should withhold from
    Him your hearts?

Christ is your Husband—and you are joined
to Him in such bonds as cannot be broken.
Will not you embrace Him in the arms of
    your dearest love?

Christ is your Redeemer—who rescued and
delivered you from sin and Satan, from death
and wrath! He has redeemed you by price, the
price of His blood. Has He not, then, given the
greatest price for your love? He has redeemed
you also by conquest. Shall He not make a
    conquest of your hearts?
