| You Don't Know Me! God created our world, populated the Earth with plants and animals and then He created us to live here on this Earth forever.
What are we doing to show God our gratitude? What would God say to us about the way we are treating Him after all He has done for us? "You say that you love Me, and yet you really don't know Me at all. I had My servants write The Bible for you so that you could learn all about Me. How hard have you tried to find out what I like and what I don't like? Have you searched through the scriptures yourself to find out what makes me happy and what makes me angry? Do you even care about what I approve of and what I do not allow? I know, you trust your priests and ministers to teach you what I require. The trouble is, those Bible-thumping charlatans who claim to represent me are a sham." Why are there so many phonies in the religion business? 3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.
(2Timothy 4:3-4) (NIV) -BibleGateway Teachers who will say what people want to hear? Why do they do this? Why do they betray God? They prostitute themselves for the money! If the "Billy Grahams" of the world did not ama$$ million$ of dollar$ would they still continue to preach? "Billy Graham was embarrassed in 1977 when the Charlotte Observer discovered an undisclosed $23-million fund in Texas, apparently not mentioned in the accountings of the Minneapolis headquarters of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. As a result Graham's business manager led the formation of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability after Graham said on a national telecast, '...there are some charlatans coming along and the public ought to be informed about them and warned against them, ' stated K. Hadden and Charles E. Swann in their book Prime Time Preachers." From: http://www.cephas-library.com/baptists/s_baptists_financial_collapse.html "The modern church machine has one test for everything... financial success. To gain this success, great programs are staged with the best performers available, from charismatic speakers who can sway an audience with emotional stories to rock concerts. A local church recently presented the musical, "The Music Man," a theatrical which ridicules morality and chastity and glorifies humanism. But it is entertaining, and that's the way to make the church grow." -THE RELIGION MACHINE by Curtis Dickinson"A three-month investigation by the Tampa Tribune and WFLA-Tampa finds that a central Florida church is actually 'an elaborate money-making machine'."
-John W. Allman, Michelle Bearden, Michael Fechter and Angie Drobnic Holan of the Tribune, and Rod Carter of WFLA. September 25, 2003"The [Catholic] Church was absolutely corrupted because it had absolute power. In the days of the Inquisition, the Roman Church owned about one fourth of all land of France. Most of this property was stolen from the victims burned at the stake. The booty of the so-called heretics were stolen by the Church and by the State. Just converted Jews were sometimes taken to the stake only to steal their properties. The excuse was to 'save them before they could return to Judaism'." - "LA PAGE NOIR DE CHRISTIANISME"; by Enrico Ribone "One US Treasury document accuses the Vatican of keeping gold— worth an estimated 200 million Swiss francs at the time—looted by Croatia's Nazi puppet regime safe in the Vatican vaults for the Ustashe. The money is alleged to have been used to finance the "rat line". At the end of the war, the Vatican aided the escape of hundreds of Nazis from Europe by issuing them with false Red Cross passports. The so-called "rat line" involved a network of European monasteries used to harbour war criminals. These were spirited out of Germany and the former Nazi occupied territories to Latin America. Mass murderers like Adolf Eichmann, Klaus Barbie and Ante Pavelic were delivered to the port of Buenos Aires disguised as priests."
- Vatican beatifies anti-Semitic Pope By Peter Reydt; 19 September 2000"Money and gold stolen from the Jews and Serbs in Yugoslavia were sent to the Vatican" -(The Guardian, December 5th 1997). "One of the benefits of the [1933] concordat with Hitler was the hundreds of millions of dollars that would flow to the Roman Catholic Church through the kirchensteuer (church tax) throughout the entire war. In return, Pope Pius XII would never excommunicate Hitler from the Catholic Church nor would he raise his voice to protest the slaughter of 6 million Jews"
-(A Woman Rides the Beast, Hunt, 220-221).
"The Charlotte Observer reported in 1979 that the PTL raised thousands of dollars for foreign missions that never went to the missions. In 1986 the PTL claimed it was in the process of building a School of Evangelism which would use missionaries, radio, and television to send its message around the globe. This, as with many other Bakker schemes, never happened." -Frances FitzGerald, "Jim and Tammy," The New Yorker, April 29, 1990.Then what happened to all that donated money? "Jim Bakker... kept two sets of books to conceal the accounting irregularities of the PTL. He took conspicuous consumption to new extremes. The PTL once spent over $100,000 for a private jet to fly the Bakker's clothing across the country. PTL also spent more than $100 on a purchase of cinnamon rolls because Jim and Tammy wanted the smell of them in their hotel room. The Bakkers epitomized the excesses of the nineteen eighties - the greed, the love of glitz, and the shamelessness." -"Can Jim and Tammy Make a Comeback?" U.S. News & World Report, Oct 19, 1987. Your Donation Dollars Hard At Work... "The Jim Bakker Show (formerly called the PTL Club) was the jewel of the the PTL Network. The show was broadcast around the U.S. and Canada by satellite. Over a decade of broadcasting the PTL television appeals brought in over $500 million. In 1986 the PTL reported revenues of $129 million. The funding for the PTL came from public contributions and memberships. PTL sold "lifetime memberships" for a $1,000 or more which entitled buyers to a 3-night stay annually at a luxury hotel in Heritage USA. According to the prosecution at Bakker's trial, tens of thousands of memberships had been sold, and only one 500- room hotel completed. The Bakker trial revealed that Bakker kept $3,700,000 for himself." - Terry C. Muck,
"What the ministers of Christendom teach you about me is a MOCKERY. My Son had choice words for them long ago:" "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition." (Matthew 15:3,6) (NIV) -BibleGateway Are the popular beliefs of Christendom just man-made teachings? 6 Jesus replied, You hypocrites! Isaiah was prophesying about you when he said, 7 These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far away. Their worship is a farce, for they replace God's commands with their own man-made teachings. (Mark 7:6-7) (New Living Translation) -BibleGateway What "Christian" customs are man-made? Christmas customs: Santa Claus is not mentioned in the Bible but he is found in encyclopedia Encarta. According to the encyclopedia WWW.MSNEncarta.com: "The Christian figure of Saint Nicholas replaced or incorporated various pagan gift-giving figures such as the Roman Befana and the Germanic Berchta and Knecht Ruprecht. The saint was called Sankt Nikolaus in Germany and Sanct Herr Nicholaas or Sinter Klaas in Holland. In these countries Nicholas was some- times said to ride through the sky on a horse. He was depicted wearing a bishop's robes and was said to be accompanied at times by Black Peter, an elf whose job was to whip the naughty children." From: http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761556859/Christmas.html The Christmas Tree is not mentioned in the Bible but it is found in encyclopedia Encarta. "While Santa Claus became increasingly familiar to Americans, the German Christmas tree also acquired popularity in North America. As early as the 17th century, Germans had transformed this pagan symbol of fertility into a Christian symbol of rebirth." From: http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761556859_2/Christmas.htmlBut Christmas is Jesus’ "birthday". Why Can't we celebrate that? The Jews and early christians - "regarded birthday celebrations as part of idolatrous worship." -M'Clintock & Strong's Cyclopedia (Vol. I, p. 817) "The earliest Christians simply were NOT interested in celebrating the Nativity. They 'viewed birthday celebrations as heathen'. The third-century church father - Origen had declared it a sin to even think of keeping Christ's birthday 'as though he were a king pharoah'." - December 23,1996 issue of US News & World Report
Easter customs: Easter is not mentioned at all in the whole Bible but it is found in encyclopedia Encarta. What does the encyclopedia Encarta.com have to say about Easter?
"The origin of its name is unknown. Scholars, however, accepting the derivation proposed by the 8th-century English scholar St. Bede, believe it probably comes from Çastre, the Anglo-Saxon name of a Teutonic goddess of spring and fertility, to whom was dedicated a month corresponding to April. Her festival was celebrated on the day of the vernal equinox; traditions associated with the festival survive in the Easter rabbit, a symbol of fertility, and in colored Easter eggs, originally painted with bright colors to represent the sunlight of spring, and used in Easter- egg rolling contests or given as gifts." From http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_761568507/Easter.html These pleasant and popular "Christian" customs are all pagan. What does God say about pagan customs and beliefs? "On that day of judgment," says the LORD, "I will punish the leaders... and all those following pagan customs." (Zephaniah 1:8) (New Living Translation) -Biblegateway So the typical church-going crowd spends about an hour or two on Sunday listening to a boring sermon, singing a few well-chosen hymns, perhaps being entertained by a rock ensemble that performs a noisy stage tribute to Jesus and then throws hard-earned money on the collection plate for the spectacle. What do they think they get for their hard-earned donation? "My minister promises us that we will all go to Heaven when we die" Too bad that is not true. What does the Bible actually say? "The righteous shall inherit the earth, And they shall live forever upon it."
(Psalm 37:29) (KJV) -BibleGateway What other beliefs are the congregations of Christendom throwing their money away on? "My priest forgives me for all of my sins" Who gave him that authority? 4 The person who keeps on sinning is guilty of not obeying the Law of God. For sin is breaking the Law of God.
(1John 3:4) (NLV) -BibleGateway 26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.
(Hebrews 10:26-27) (NIV) -BibleGateway9 I, the LORD, will show no mercy or pity when that time comes. In my anger I will destroy the earth and every sinner who lives on it.
(Isaiah 13:9) (Contemporary English Version) -BibleGatewayAnything else from our friendly Bible-thumpers? "My minister says that God loves us no matter what!" That is certainly not what God said! 31 We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will.
(John 9:31) (NIV) -BibleGateway9 Don't you know that those who do wrong will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don't fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes, homosexuals, 10 thieves, greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and swindlers--none of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God. (1Corinthians 6:9-10) (NIV) -BibleGateway16 There are six things the LORD hates--no, seven things he detests: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, 18 a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, 19 a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord among brothers.
(Proverbs 6:16-19) (NLT) -BibleGateway"Wait a minute! We can’t live sin-free! We are sinners! We are forgiven for our sins!"
That is exactly what is wrong with the world today. People feel free to rob, kill, extort, browbeat, assault, belittle and rape with abandon. They just expect to be evil and then endlessly forgiven. 4 I say this because some godless people have wormed their way in among you, saying that God's forgiveness allows us to live immoral lives. The fate of such people was determined long ago, for they have turned against our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:4) (NLT) -BibleGateway What exactly must we do to be saved? "All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands STANDS FIRM to the end will be saved. "
(Matthew 10:22) (NIV) -BibleGateway32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of Jehovah shall be delivered; (Joel 2:32) (ASV) -BibleGateway"Wait a minute! My minister tells us that Jesus saves!" Do we have another clue that the robed ministers of Christendom are perpetrating fraud upon their flocks? "And now this admonition is for you, O priests. If you do not listen, and if you do not set your heart to honor my name,"
says Jehovah Almighty, "I will send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings." (Malachi 2:1) (ASV) -BibleGatewayAs a matter of fact, the ministers of Christendom do occasionally mutter God’s name, Jehovah, but they really promote a different god from Jehovah. Their god of choice is Lord Nameless Three-Face, the Trinity god; composed of a Father, son and Holy Ghost person. But Jehovah does not say, anywhere in the Bible, "I am an incomprehensible three part being! Worship us!" What does Jehovah actually say?
5 I am Jehovah, and there is none else; besides me there is no God. I will gird thee, though thou hast not known me; 6 that they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none besides me: I am Jehovah, and there is none else. (Isaiah 45:5,6) (ASV) -BibleGateway People find it so easy to say "I love my God, I love my Jesus"! People have paid Jehovah lip service for a long time now. "You are always on their lips but far from their hearts."
(Jeremiah 12:2) (NIV) -BibleGateway "These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is made up only of rules taught by men."
(Isaiah 29:13) (NIV) -BibleGateway "My servants have spent more than one hundred years now, trying to show you people of Christendom and the rest of the pagan world the error of their ways. They have used reputable books, encyclopedias and even the Bible itself, to warn you of how I feel about compromise with paganism, and mixing the truth with lies. My servants have gone to every country and talked to people in every language. There really is no excuse for you not knowing the truth. The real problem here, is not so much that you don't know, but basically that you don't care and that hurts me deeply. Therefore, the time is coming soon, when I will exterminate, once again, all of the evil people running rampant in the world. Your mealy-mouthed ministers are not going to tell you the harsh truth, so don’t expect them to do that. Read for yourself what my prophets wrote long ago. Read the warnings I gave long ago so that you will know what to expect when the time comes." What warnings? "And those slain by Jehovah will certainly come to be in that day from one end of the earth clear to the other end of the earth. They will not be bewailed, neither will they be gathered up or be buried. As manure on the surface of the ground they will become."
(Jeremiah 25:33) (YLT) -BibleGateway 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. 8 You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
(Psalms 91:7-8) (NIV) -BibleGateway What about the survivors? What is ahead for them? "Hope in Jehovah and keep his way, and he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see it. Watch the blameless one and keep the upright one in sight, for the future of that man will be peaceful. But the transgressors themselves will certainly be annihilated together; the future of wicked people will indeed be cut off."
(Psalms 37:34, 37, 38) (American Standard Version) -BibleGateway 10 In a little while, the wicked will disappear. Though you look for them, they will be gone. 11 Those who are gentle and lowly will possess the land; they will live in prosperous security. (Psalms 37:10-11) (NLT) -BibleGateway "...And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away."

| The End of the World Is Here
‘Twas when it was least expected just as the scriptures had said Jehovah brought "The End" at last Under a moon of blood red. 1 None of the nominal Christians or the rest of the pagan world knew what was about to hit them as the natural forces swirled. 2 Typhoons howled with fury with vast flooding that swept them away Fires were constantly burning as earthquakes caused buildings to sway 3
What was the populace thinking right up to that most fateful day? Did they think that God was just bluffing when He warned us to follow His way? 4
But they held to their own selfish courses to God they just turned a deaf ear God’s servants spent years being sources of good news and bad news to fear. 5
The good news is this world is over the evil and problems soon gone. A new world forever awaits us Where prophecied "God’s will be done" 6
The obstinate ones who reject Him will perish with this old tarnished life the future is bright with serenity the end of injustice and strife. 7
The very ones who slaved for wealth from dusk to dawn each day only wasted all of their time and health and threw their lives away 8
The gods that they served will leave them no leadership will they find They will stumble and wander aimlessly about as men who are quite blind. 9
The memories they made and cherish become abandoned to the past There won’t be anything left of them- nothing at all that will last. 10 Who exalts himself will be humbled 11 who pursues riches will just be stripped bare 12 the one who does the will of Jehovah will live forever under His loving care. 13
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 1 I watched as he opened the sixth seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, (Revelation 6:12) (New International Version) -Biblegateway
2 The LORD will cause men to hear his majestic voice and will make them see his arm coming down with raging anger and consuming fire, with cloudburst, thunderstorm and hail. (Isaiah 30:30) (NIV) -Biblegateway 3 But your many enemies will become like fine dust, the ruthless hordes like blown chaff. Suddenly, in an instant, 6 the LORD Almighty will come with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with windstorm and tempest and flames of a devouring fire. (Isaiah 29:5-6) (NIV) -Biblegateway 4 If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your righteousness like the waves of the sea. (Isaiah 48:18) (NIV) -Biblegateway 5 When the good news about the kingdom has been preached all over the world and told to all nations, the end will come. (Matthew 24:14) (Contemporary English Version) -Biblegateway 6 May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:10) (New Living Translation) -Biblegateway7 "But God has promised us a new heaven and a new earth, where justice will rule. We are really looking forward to that!" (2Peter 3:13) (CEV) -Biblegateway 8 "No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money. (Matthew 6:24) (NIV) -Biblegateway 9 "The great day of Jehovah is near. It is near, and there is a hurrying [of it] very much. The sound of the day of Jehovah is bitter. There a mighty man is letting out a cry. 15 That day is a day of fury, a day of distress and of anguish, a day of storm and of desolation, a day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick gloom, 16 a day of horn and of alarm signal, against the fortified cities and against the high corner towers. 17 And I will cause distress to mankind, and they will certainly walk like blind men; because it is against Jehovah that they have sinned. And their blood will actually be poured out like dust, and their bowels like the dung. 18 Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to deliver them in the day of Jehovah’s fury; but by the fire of his zeal the whole earth will be devoured, because he will make an extermination, indeed a terrible one, of all the inhabitants of the earth." (Zephaniah 1:14-18) (New World Translation) www.watchtower.org10 In a little while, the wicked will disappear. Though you look for them, they will be gone. 11 Those who are gentle and lowly will possess the land; they will live in prosperous security. (Psalms 37:10-11) (NLT) -Biblegateway 11 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. (Matthew 23:12) (NIV) -Biblegateway12 But if it's only money these leaders are after, they'll self-destruct in no time. Lust for money brings trouble and nothing but trouble. Going down that path, some lose their footing in the faith completely and live to regret it bitterly ever after. (1Tim 6:9) (MSG) -Biblegateway13 And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever." (1John 2:17) (English Standard Version) -BiblegatewayIs the world really passing away? India floods strand hundreds of thousands By GAVIN RABINOWITZ, Associated Press Writer Sat Aug 30, 1:59 PM ET SAHARSA, India - About 1.2 million people have been left homeless and scores have been killed in the impoverished state of Bihar in the two weeks since the monsoon-swollen Kosi river in neighboring Nepal burst its banks, dramatically changing course and spilling billions of gallons of water into the plains of northern India. Authorities say hundreds of thousands remain stranded after their homes and villages were inundated, clinging to the roofs of houses or whatever dry speck of land they can find. An estimated 3 million residents of Bihar have been affected. For they turned aside from following him. They have no respect for any of his ways." (Job 34:21-23) (NLT) -Biblegateway
"And the word of Jehovah continued to occur to me, saying... ‘An end, the end, has come upon the four extremities of the land. Now the end is upon you, and I must send my anger against you, and I will judge you according to your ways and bring upon you all your detestable things. And my eye will not feel sorry for you, neither will I feel compassion, for upon you I shall bring your own ways, and in the midst of you your own detestable things will come to be; and YOU people will have to know that I am Jehovah.’ " (Ezekiel 7:1-4) (NWT) www.watchtower.org

| A RIGHTEOUS WAR
The Bible mentions many battles that were fought throughout the ages. War has been a fact of life for mankind for thousands of years. But some wars were led by God Himself - like at Jericho: 20 When the trumpets sounded, the people shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the people gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so every man charged straight in, and they took the city. 21 They devoted the city to the LORD and destroyed with the sword every living thing in it—men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep and donkeys. (Joshua 6:20-21) (New International Version) Bible Gateway
The city of Ai: 1 Then the LORD said to Joshua, "Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Take the whole army with you, and go up and attack Ai. For I have delivered into your hands the king of Ai, his people, his city and his land. (Joshua 8:1) (NIV) Bible Gateway
The city of Makkedah: 28 That day Joshua took Makkedah. He put the city and its king to the sword and totally destroyed everyone in it. He left no survivors. And he did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho. (Joshua 10:28) (NIV) Bible Gateway
When Jehovah decided to wage a war, the people fighting the battle with Him could not lose. These pagan cities were destroyed to make room for Jehovah's people! Anybody who opposed Jehovah was annihilated. The Bible has many similar stories in it of battles won and lost but nobody who went into battle with Jehovah ever lost. This will be especially true of the last battle mentioned in the bible, a battle that has not even been fought yet, but will be, once again, for Jehovah's people: 19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. 21 The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh. (Revelation 19:19-21) (NIV) Bible Gateway
A SELECTIVE WAR!
Most wars are indiscriminate. Innocent people often die in the battles of mankind. The Great War of Jehovah will be different because only the wicked will die! Jehovah's war is a holy war. It is a Righteous War. The innocent will be protected and will only be spectators of God's Righteous Warfare: "Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty." (Revelation 19:11,13-15) (English Standard Version) Bible Gateway
"Oh worship Jehovah... Tremble before him, all the earth. For he cometh to judge the earth: He will judge the world with righteousness..." (Psalm 96:9,13) (American Standard Version) Bible Gateway Yes, they will watch with their eyes, the destruction of the wicked, but there will be no harm to them in any way; no - the people will not even have to participate: "A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked." (Psalm 91:7,8) (NIV) Bible Gateway 21 From the sky huge hailstones of about a hundred pounds each fell upon men. And they cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was so terrible. (Revelation 16:21) (NIV) Bible Gateway JEHOVAH'S WARRIOR KING In the hands of His "Warrior King" - His Son, only those who are causing trouble on the earth, will be destroyed. "They that strive with Jehovah shall be broken to pieces; Against them will he thunder in heaven: Jehovah will judge the ends of the earth; And he will give strength unto "HIS KING", And exalt the horn of "HIS ANOINTED". " (1Samuel 2:10) (ASV) Bible Gateway "... 'He will rule them with an iron scepter; he will dash them to pieces like pottery' just as I have received authority from my Father...." (Revelation 2:27,28) (NIV) Bible Gateway "...a son, a male child, who will rule all the nations with an iron scepter. " (Revelation 12:5) (NIV) Bible Gateway
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying, 3 Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us. 4 He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision. 5 Then will he speak unto them in his wrath, And vex them in his sore displeasure: 6 Yet I have set my king Upon my holy hill of Zion. 7 I will tell of the decree: Jehovah said unto me, Thou art my son; This day have I begotten thee. 8 Ask of me, and I will give thee the nations for thine inheritance, And the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. 9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; Thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. 10 Now therefore be wise, O ye kings: Be instructed, ye judges of the earth. 11 Serve Jehovah with fear, And rejoice with trembling. 12 Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and ye perish in the way, For his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all they that take refuge in him. (Psalm 2:2,4-12) (ASV) Bible Gateway "And my servant... shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in mine ordinances, and observe my statutes, and do them. And they shall dwell in the land...for ever: my servant shall be their prince for ever. Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. My tabernacle also shall be with them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And the nations shall know that I am Jehovah." (Ezekiel 37:24-28) (ASV) Bible Gateway "And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah. And his delight shall be in the fear of Jehovah; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears; but with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth. and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked." (Isaiah 11:2-4) (ASV) Bible Gateway Yes, Christ will battle a Righteous War on behalf of his Heavenly Father, Jehovah God. Unlike man-made warfare, Christ will use perfect justice to cleanse the earth of all those who are ruining life on the earth. "It is called the "Day of Jehovah" because, though Christ, with royal title and power, will be present as Jehovah's representative, taking charge of all the affairs during this day of trouble, it is more as the General of Jehovah, subduing all things, than as the Prince of Peace, blessing all." -The Divine Plan of the THE Ages Study XV [A307]; The Day of Jehovah "...This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of his power on the day he comes to be glorified." (2Thessalonians 1:7-10) (NIV) Bible Gateway
"The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus." (Acts 3:13) (NIV) Bible Gateway REMOVING EVILDOERS
Really, when we think about it, God has no choice, but to remove evildoers from the earth, in order to make way for the paradise that he has promised mankind. There is no other way. If he allowed the selfish, greedy, violent ones to remain, we would have the same old world, with it's poverty, injustice, crime, and bloodshed. Law-defying people are ruining the very earth we live on. They befoul the air, the land, and the water; they fill the earth with injustice, cruelty and violence. And they stockpile enough chemical, nuclear, and other deadly weapons to threaten the survival of humankind. Divine intervention is imperative in order to ensure a secure future for obedient mankind.
"...And you will destroy all who have caused destruction on the earth." (Revelation 11:18) (New Living Translation) Bible Gateway "For evil-doers shall be cut off; But those that wait for Jehovah, they shall inherit the earth. For just a little while longer, and the wicked ones shall be no more: Yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and he shall not be. But the meek shall inherit the earth, And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace... The righteous shall inherit the earth, And dwell therein for ever... Wait for Jehovah, and keep his way, And he will exalt thee to inherit the earth; When the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it." (Psalm 37:9-11,29,34) (ASV) Bible Gateway
The righteous battle, led by our Saviour, will rid the earth forever of all those who refuse to obey his Father and who refuse to follow Christ. Only the disobedient will be removed. The remainder - his sheep - will have a shepherd who will take care of them. "You will shepherd my people... and you will become their ruler." (1Chronicles 11:2) (New American Standard Bible) Bible Gateway "Jehovah said to thee, Thou shalt be shepherd of my people... and thou shalt be prince..." (2Samuel 5:2) (ASV) Bible Gateway "And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them... and he shall be their shepherd. And I, Jehovah, will be their God... And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land; and they shall dwell securely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods. And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in its season; there shall be showers of blessing. And the tree of the field shall yield its fruit, and the earth shall yield its increase, and they shall be secure in their land; and they shall know that I am Jehovah... they shall dwell securely, and none shall make them afraid." (Ezekiel 34:23-28 (ASV) Bible Gateway "...shepherd my people... and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever... I will be his father, and he shall be my son..." "For the Lamb... will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes." (Revelation 7:17) (NIV) Bible Gateway JEHOVAH ANSWERS TO NO ONE
Whether mankind thinks that God's decisions are fair or not does not really matter for He, alone, is God. Jehovah does not have to answer to mankind and neither does His Son. Together, they will greatly improve life on the earth and usher in a time of peace and prosperity that will never end. "...and the Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the reproach of his people will he take away from off all the earth: for Jehovah hath spoken it." (Isaiah 25:8) (ASV) Bible Gateway "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." (Revelation 21:5) (NIV) Bible Gateway "But the meek in the end shall inherit the earth and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Then the consistently righteous shall inherit the land and dwell upon it forever." (Psalm 37:11,29) (AMP) Bible Gateway What should we be doing right now? "In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent. For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to all men by raising him from the dead." (Acts 17:30,31) (NIV) Bible Gateway WHEN WILL THIS WAR BEGIN? ONLY JEHOVAH KNOWS "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, NOR the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come." (Mark 13:32,33) (NIV) Bible Gateway But one thing we do know - it will be soon! | | |
| Should We Listen To Jehovah? The Bible has many stories in it about the relationship between Jehovah and the people he created long ago. Some of them listened to his voice when He spoke and obeyed Him. Many heard His voice with their own ears and still disobeyed Him. Are the faithful rewarded? Abraham (Abram) was one among the many people Jehovah conversed with: 1 And Jehovah saith unto Abram, `Go for thyself, from thy land, and from thy kindred, and from the house of thy father, unto the land which I shew thee. 2 And I make thee become a great nation, and bless thee, and make thy name great; and be thou a blessing. 3 And I bless those blessing thee, and him who is disesteeming thee I curse, and blessed in thee have been all families of the ground.' (Genesis 12:1-3) (Young’s Literal Translation) -BibleGateway Abraham conversed with Jehovah all of his life, a rare privilege we do not have. Do we have any kind of communication with Jehovah now? Sometimes Jehovah will send angels to relay His messages. When Jehovah wanted to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah He sent two angels to warn Lot to get out: 18 And Lot said to them, "Oh, no, my lords. 19 Behold, your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have shown me great kindness in saving my life. But I cannot escape to the hills, lest the disaster overtake me and I die. 20 Behold, this city is near enough to flee to, and it is a little one. Let me escape there--is it not a little one?--and my life will be saved!" (Genesis 19:18-20) (English Standard Version) -BibleGateway Not only did Jehovah allow Lot to flee to nearby Zoar instead of the mountains, He waited until Lot and his family were a safe distance away and then brought about the total destruction of the two cities and surrounding area: 24 Then Jehovah rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Jehovah out of heaven; 25 and he overthrew those cities, and all the Plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. (Genesis 19:24-25) (American Standard Version) -BibleGateway The total destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah is a true story that is going to be replayed on a grander scale in the near future. The disobedient people of the world will be killed and the remaining faithful will live forever on the earth. What kind of test of faith might we expect? 1 Some years later God decided to test Abraham, so he spoke to him. Abraham answered, "Here I am, LORD." 2 The LORD said, "Go get Isaac, your only son, the one you dearly love! Take him to the land of Moriah, and I will show you a mountain where you must sacrifice him to me on the fires of an altar." (Genesis 22:1-2) (Contemporary English Version) -BibleGateway In this case, Jehovah tested Abraham to see if he would actually sacrifice his son. This is an example of how extreme a test can be.
What did Abraham do? 3 The next morning Abraham got up early. He saddled his donkey and took two of his servants with him, along with his son Isaac. Then he chopped wood to build a fire for a burnt offering and set out for the place where God had told him to go. (Genesis 22:3) (New Living Translation) -BibleGateway We can be sure that Abraham did not want to sacrifice his son, but he willingly obeyed Jehovah anyway. 4 On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. 5 He said to his servants, "Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you." 6 Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together, 7 Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, my son?" Abraham replied. "The fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" 8 Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them went on together. 9 When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. (Genesis 22:4-10) (YLT) -BibleGateway Though it was painful for Abraham to kill his son at Jehovah’s command, he was about to go through with the act when an angel stopped him: 11 And the messenger of Jehovah calleth unto him from the heavens, and saith, `Abraham, Abraham;' and he saith, `Here [am] I;' 12 and He saith, `Put not forth thine hand unto the youth, nor do anything to him, for now I have known that thou art fearing God, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one, from Me.' 13 And Abraham lifteth up his eyes, and looketh, and lo, a ram behind, seized in a thicket by its horns; and Abraham goeth, and taketh the ram, and causeth it to ascend for a burnt-offering instead of his son; 14 and Abraham calleth the name of that place `Jehovah-Jireh,' because it is said this day in the mount, `Jehovah doth provide.' 15 And the messenger of Jehovah calleth unto Abraham a second time from the heavens, 16 and saith, `By Myself I have sworn -- the affirmation of Jehovah -- that because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only one 17 that blessing I bless thee, and multiplying I multiply thy seed as stars of the heavens, and as sand which [is] on the sea-shore; and thy seed doth possess the gate of his enemies; 18 and blessed them- selves in thy seed have all nations of the earth, because that thou hast hearkened to My voice.' (Genesis 22:11-18) (YLT) -BibleGateway
The moral of the story is that we may be tested and the test may be a tough one, similar to the ordeal of Abraham or even Job but when the test is over, we will be rewarded for passing. Consider another story of faith put to the test long ago in the ancient city of Babylon: 1 King Nebuchadnezzar made a gold statue ninety feet tall and nine feet wide and set it up on the plain of Dura in the province of Babylon. 2 Then he sent messages to the princes, prefects, governors, advisers, counselors, judges, magistrates, and all the provincial officials to come to the dedication of the statue he had set up. 3 When all these officials had arrived and were standing before the image King Nebuchadnezzar had set up, 4 a herald shouted out, "People of all races and nations and languages, listen to the king's command! 5 When you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipes, and other instruments, bow to the ground to worship King Nebuchadnezzar's gold statue. 6 Anyone who refuses to obey will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace." (Daniel 3:1-6) (NLT) -BibleGateway The prophet Daniel lived in this land and wrote about his three friends, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They were devoted to Jehovah and would not bow down to the statue. 7 So at the sound of the musical instruments, all the people, whatever their race or nation or language, bowed to the ground and worshiped the statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. 8 But some of the astrologers went to the king and informed on the Jews. 9 They said to King Nebuchadnezzar, "Long live the king! 10 You issued a decree requiring all the people to bow down and worship the gold statue when they hear the sound of the musical instruments. 11 That decree also states that those who refuse to obey must be thrown into a blazing furnace. 12 But there are some Jews--Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego-- whom you have put in charge of the province of Babylon. They have defied Your Majesty by refusing to serve your gods or to worship the gold statue you have set up." 13 Then Nebuchadnezzar flew into a rage and ordered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to be brought before him. When they were brought in, 14 Nebuchadnezzar said to them, "Is it true, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you refuse to serve my gods or to worship the gold statue I have set up? 15 I will give you one more chance. If you bow down and worship the statue I have made when you hear the sound of the musical instruments, all will be well. But if you refuse, you will be thrown immediately into the blazing furnace. What god will be able to rescue you from my power then?" (Daniel 3:7-15) (NLT) -BibleGateway King Nebuchadnezzar considered himself and his gods to be the ultimate power in the land. Kings do not take disobedience lightly. 16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, "O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. 18 But even if he doesn't, Your Majesty can be sure that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up." 19 Nebuchadnezzar was so furious with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego that his face became distorted with rage. He commanded that the furnace be heated seven times hotter than usual. 20 Then he ordered some of the strongest men of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. 21 So they tied them up and threw them into the furnace, fully clothed. 22 And because the king, in his anger, had demanded such a hot fire in the furnace, the flames leaped out and killed the soldiers as they threw the three men in! (Daniel 3:16-22) (NLT) -BibleGateway And so the soldiers who threw the three men in the furnace perished from the intense heat but Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego did not die! 23 So Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, securely tied, fell down into the roaring flames. 24 But suddenly, as he was watching, Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in amazement and exclaimed to his advisers, "Didn't we tie up three men and throw them into the furnace?" "Yes," they said, "we did indeed, Your Majesty." 25 "Look!" Nebuchadnezzar shouted. "I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire. They aren't even hurt by the flames! And the fourth looks like a divine being!" 26 Then Nebuchadnezzar came as close as he could to the door of the flaming furnace and shouted: "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!" So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stepped out of the fire. 27 Then the princes, prefects, governors, and advisers crowded around them and saw that the fire had not touched them. Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched. They didn't even smell of smoke! 28 Then Nebuchadnezzar said, "Praise to the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego! He sent his angel to rescue his servants who trusted in him. They defied the king's command and were willing to die rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. 29 Therefore, I make this decree: If any people, whatever their race or nation or language, speak a word against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, they will be torn limb from limb, and their houses will be crushed into heaps of rubble. There is no other god who can rescue like this!" 30 Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to even higher positions in the province of Babylon. (Daniel 3:23-30) (NLT) -BibleGateway In this case, Jehovah came to their rescue to demonstrate His power to the high officials of Babylon. The three Jews, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were rewarded for their faith. What about those of us who are living today? What message does Jehovah have for us? 11 But ye that forsake Jehovah, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for Fortune, and that fill up mingled wine unto Destiny; 12 I will destine you to the sword, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter; because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but ye did that which was evil in mine eyes, and chose that wherein I delighted not. 13 Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, my servants shall eat, but ye shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but ye shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but ye shall be put to shame; 14 behold, my servants shall sing for joy of heart, but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for vexation of spirit. (Isaiah 65:11-14) (ASV) -BibleGateway There are two kinds of people in the world: people who seek to obey Jehovah, the God of our forefathers and those who do not.
Who are the ones who seek to obey Him? 10 Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and under- stand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. 11 I, even I, am Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour. (Isaiah 43:10-11) (ASV) -BibleGateway Jehovah’s servants here on earth are the only ones who are believers in the One True God, Jehovah, and all of the things that he did for His people in the past and the things He will do for us in the near future. His prophets predicted and announced many of the things He did and the unfulfilled prophecies are almost ready to be finally fulfilled:
