Nothing that really alludes to the Messiah yet, but.....

Gen 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, Gen 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

THIS to many people sounds crazy, but both Jewish and Gentile commentators agree that something funky was going on. The word "giants" is translated from the Hebrew "Nefilim" which when broken down to its three letter root word is the word "Niphal" which means to fall down, to cast down, and to drop down. Creepily enough it also means "stillborn." Paul seems to allude to these creepy sounding guys in his letter to Peter.

2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; 2Pe 2:5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

I dunno. It would make sense that Satan would try to pull something like this because of the Prophecy:

Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

If angels were really doing what it sounds like they were doing, than satan was genetically trying to mess up the seed of the woman, or in other words, alter the coming of the Mess.... Wait... I think this verse does allude to Messiah.... Well how 'bout that?

Anyway, It seems like God had to send the flood because the genetic line was so messed up that the flood was really apart of God's redemptive plan, so God is really showing mercy to mankind by His judgment. I'm just speculating, but it does seem as if this is whats happening.

Next Verse.

Gen 6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. Gen 6:12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

First, to really get the picture of whats going on in Noah's world, we have to go back and define some words. I always find it revealing to look at the first occurance of a word in the scriptures. In doing so, I find the meaning behind the word.  I wanna look at the two words "corrupt" and "way." The word "corrupt" is translated from the Hebrew word "Shachat", and this word, according to Strong's means to spoil, to marr, to ruin, to pervert, and to be laid waste. The etymological root means to degenerate irreversibly, to ruin prosperity and social deterioration. Society was deteriorating, in short. Why? Because they had corrupted their WAY. And this leads me to the next word, way. The word way is translated from the Hebrew word "derek", and it is most important that we understand what this word means. The first time we see this word in the scriptures is in Genesis chapter 3.

Gen 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the WAY (derek) of the tree of life.

Derek, according to Strong's means, a road, a journey, or a manner or habit. The root of this word mean, to step forward, to progress to a goal, an open road, aiming, and moral development. This word makes me think of a verse.

Rom 10:4 For Messiah is the goal of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Messiah is the goal of the Torah. The funny thing is, the word Torah, comes from a root that means "to aim."
Jesus also claims to be the way the truth and the life, and that no one can come to God but through Him.

Well were gunna look up the word "life" now. The word life is from the Hebrew word "Chayim" and it first appears in this verse:

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of LIFE; and man became a living soul.

God breathes LIFE into the man. God is the author of life itself, and he has formatted, if you will, the earth to work a certain way.

Deu 11:26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse; Deu 11:27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day: Deu 11:28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the WAY which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.

The word life, "chayim", when taken to its root meaning, means to live by virtue of God's thoughts, and healthy and full of LIFE.

Jesus came so that we might have LIFE and that we might have it more abundantly. When we live life according to the WAY that God has DESIGNED for us, than we find ourselves living meaningful lives.  Because He IS the way. He IS the life. So Derek means, the natural order of things. The way God designed things to be.

Oh, and one thing I left out (just to add to the effect), the word corrupt, "shachat", also means "to resist ones natural WAY."

In Noahs day, people were resisting their natural way. Not just because of the unnatural breeding that was going on, but because people forsook that natural way of doing things. Robbery, murder, homosexuality, adultry, and drunkeness. Does this sound remotely familiar? I think it does. There were probably other things going on. Dare I say, obesity, mental handicaps, disorders and a blurred line of whats right and wrong? An amoral society? If we could go back in time, we would probably find this culture, very much like our own.

Im not a writer, and I did a really poor job on this, so pardon me. But yeah, thats what I have found so far. Hope it all made sense, and hopefully someone learned something new :)

Im scared for America. Im scared for christianity. I see really scary days ahead of us, and the sad thing is, I really feel as if christianity is a pawn in the giant scheme of things. Christianity has become nothing more than a tool to propagate the government. Its a religion, and religion does nothing but enslave and destroy. I dont see a change in peoples hearts, because we're all saying the same things and doing the same things and nothing in the world gets any better. Pastors became more and more like pulpit clowns, trying to entertain people and keep them happy so that theyll come back for more, while people go to broken homes, and teenage pregnancies rise, and homosexuality runs rampant. Christianity has become an entertainment industry and no longer a ministry. Our generation is starved, and most of us find church kinda boring, hearing the same message over and over, year after year. The churches in america are getting larger and larger, but so do the problems in the world. Are we really teaching repentance, or are we selling a watered down gospel? Are we really a people living changed lives, or are we borrowing the cultures way of doing things that we just see ourselves as normal. I think we have grown complacent. I think that we need to turn to the Christ of CHRISTianity. I think we need to stop consulting with our Joel osteens' and our joyce meyers and get back to reading the Word of God for ourselves. We need to think. We need to act. We need to Live like Jesus, and I think its high time we start to look at how Jesus really lived. I think we will find a lot of difference between the Western Jesus, and the Hebrew Yeshua.

It is 2:18 in the morning and I can't sleep. I now know what it feels like to not be able to sleep because God's word is running around in my head.

I think I'm going crazy!

I have just got this passion for God's word and I can't calm down. I wanna know it backwards and forwards, within and without. I wanna know the hidden things, and I wanna know how to apply it all to my life. I wanna be a doer of God's word, and not just a hearer. I want God's word to plant itself within my heart so that I can grow up to be a tree and bear good fruit. Fruit that gets its nourishment from the True Vine, Messiah Yeshua. For He IS The Tree of Life. Man, I just can't stop thinking about it! The more I learn the meaning of words the more the Word of God becomes more meaningful. How can one live without His words? I see no point in life without Him. He drives me up walls! In a good way! How can one word send a person so absolutely mad? Words are water. Water that flows from The Tree of Life! UGH!! GOD IS AMAZING!!! He really is The Water of Life, The Bread from Heaven, The Way, The Truth, The Life. No one really can come to the Father but through Him!! One must go through His blood to get to The Holiest of Holies!!! THIS IS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!! ITS 2:36 IN THE MORNING AND HE WON'T LET ME SLEEP!!!!!! I toss and turn but sleep escapes me because He is unescapable! Nothing can hide from Him! HE IS SO HOLY AND I AM NOTHING. Nothing can escape is presence! I wanna be just like Yeshua. I wanna be everything that He is, but I keep on doing what I shouldn't!! I've got two natures that cannot coexist. Coexsitance is futile! I can't walk a middle path!  I must walk the WAY of LIFE. He is so much more than I can ever hope to be, and I wanna drink more and more from the Water that only He can give!! The Water that IS His Word. And not just the written word, but the word that is flesh. The word that became flesh. The only Word of Flesh that can replace my stony heart with a heart of flesh. A heart of flesh that has the Word of God written all over it.

I WANT THAT HEART.
A heart that RUNS after Him.
A heart that YEARNS for Him.
A heart that THIRST after Him.
A heart that is COMPULSIVE about Him.
A heart that is CRAZY about Him.
I wanna have a Heart that is so in LOVE with him
that it becomes lovesick. A heart that is lovesick for its beloved. My beloved. My beloved who loves me so much that He DIED for me. My beloved who bought me with a price. A REDEMPTIVE price. A price that I will never be able to repay. A price that was so high that it cost Him His own blood. I have been purchesed with blood. My beloved's blood. My former debt has been wiped clean. The debt that sin left me in... It is payed in full. If there was a record of wrongs I comitted, all it would say is free and forgiven. Blood would be smeared all over the files. Now I am his and I will shout with pride:

Dodi li v'ani lo!
I am my beloved's and He is mine!
