Long Time No Write

Wow...so it's been awhile...

I'll be graduating in May, start my student teaching on Monday at Lanier Elementary here in Tulsa....I'll be with 2nd graders and am very excited and nervous because I have never worked with (professionally) children younger than the 3rd grade. I bet they're adorable and absolutely cannot wait to meet them This semester is going to fly by and before I know it I'll be a teacher. AH! So scary and exciting.....

I'm ready for a change and I think that this will be it....I'm ready to be employed by a school, and I found one that's close to OKC that I REALLY like....but I'm planning on living with the parentals until I can get on my feet....so that kinda throws that school out. I'm really ready for the summer....I have a ton of plans, but we'll just see which ones go through.

So I came home yesterday for a dr. appt.....today I'm seeing my specialist. My dr dropped the s-bomb (surgery) on me already. Ugh. I hope not.....Leave today to go back to camp....hopefully I'll be there before the party....we'll see.....

QUESTION:

Would anyone be interested in going with me to Texas July 14-16? The Newsboys (also Josh Bates, Ayiesha Woods, Building 429, Sonicflood, Ana Laura, Caedmon's Call, and Brian Littrell) are going to be in concert. They'll be here June 17th, but I can't make it and this is the next closest concert (in distance)....SOOOO...If anyone is interested in going-LET ME KNOW!!!! Thanks!

I have GREAT news.....

Have you ever (I'm sure you all have) felt like you had HUGE weights on your shoulders, and just one day, the weights/burdens have been lifted. This has happened to me. It's amazing. I don't know when it happened, but I am oh-so-glad it did!

Anyways, side note....Thursday I leave for OKC. YAY! I'm so excited! I have all the stuff I need (I THINK!!!!), so now all I need to do is laundry and pack. And spend some time with friends before I leave (I won't be back til the 2nd of June I think). I'm going down to Texas to see Ash HC and I can't wait!!! It's going to be soooo fun! Hoo-rah chan-guh!!!! lol Anyways, just wanted to tell y'all!

So, it's been awhile and I thought I'd update. Hello.

RECAP

This past couple weeks have been CRAZY and just flown by....I wouldn't have it any other way though!! School is done (Thank God!!!) and I'm just working, working, working....School was total booty this semester and I really wish I would have tried harder...ugh....Oh well, can't sit and wish-I'd be wasting time! A couple (?) weekends ago, I went back to beautiful Stilly to see everybody! It was great as usual! Me, Laura, and Ash went and had dinner at Hunan's and then me and Laura went to Omega Fest with Corbinani...lol It was interesting...they had free tea and prizes!!! I got to see a lot of Stouties-and that was great too! Little Martin and Ben!!!! I haven't seen them in who knows how long, but it was great to be able to give them BIG hugs!!! I also got to see Eb, Amanda, and Tara-I love those girls....we ended up taking a Stoutie reunion pic, minus alot of us though, but it's a great pic (if you want it, ask, and I'll email it to you!...or you can just get it off facebook!)....So, there ya go!

UPCOMING

And now I'm just working in Research until I go to camp! Woohoo!!! I'm totally excited!!! It's going to be an AMAZING experience and I can't wait to see how God's going to use me and see what He's going to do in me!!! It's going to be PHENOMENAL!!!!!! Then, I'll be trekkin up to Ohio with mom and the g'parents one week, and I'll get to see a LOT of the fam...it'll be great! Then, when camp's done, I'll be back here....working in Research UNTILLLLL.......

NATIONALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which will be in Orlando this year and I am SOOOOOO excited about that one! Then it's back to school and I start a secret experiment....so don't ask...you'll find out in due time.

I feel so alone. Empty.

Have you ever been in someone's house and all their family was there....and it was for the most part comfortable and fun, but you knew it wasn't your home and you couldn't wait to get back where you longed to be?

That's how I am....how I feel. I'm in this place, surrounded by so many people I know. Sometimes it's fun, and I feel comfortable most of the time....but in the back of my mind is "home" and all those missed memories. And I call my "family" and they're hanging out with everyone-having a blast....I get off the phone and just want to cry because I don't have that here. I don't understand why I'm in this place. I've been miserable since day one. Sure I've had some fun times and made some "friends"-but my experiences will never compare to what I know.

I feel as though I can't leave. I have things "good" here, and if I left I would be making some sacrifices. Would they be worth it? Probably...in the long run. I just wish I had someone...not in the relationship sense, as in a boyfriend-because that's the last thing I need. I just want a friend. One true friend. Is that too much to ask?

Sorry this post is depressing and kind of whiny....I'm not trying to have a pity party, I just want to air my feelings.
