first off-  new character.

Michael- goes to the middle school across town- marissa's new love intrest. he is like.. the landon of the other school... will the two clash??

Tara looked behind her. his dark hair was in his eyes and his jacket had patches up and down the sides. she was walking toward her old ways. it suddenly hit her- she didn't want this guy to play her a romantic song while she danced and swayed around him. she didn't want him to stop strumming and then grab her face and kiss her. she turned around. "i won't be able to hear because of the party. never mind" she brushed past him and ran into the party room. she knew she was being cold- but she couldn't help it. she looked around for a friendly face, almost in tears. she saw that sara had left sam's side and was now chatting with brittney. she pulled her away and hissed "i need to talk to you". they went up the stairs again to the attic. tara threw herself on the sofa and let herself go. tears fell down her face and sara went and sat down by her stroking her hair and letting her cry for a few minutes. she finally asked "what happened?" tara spilled the whole story. how she liked landon and then who he saw her with. sara was surprised to not feel a pang of pain after hearing the news about karla and landon. she realized that her feelings for him were feelings for having someone, and she now saw that that someone was sam. she smiled to herself and then went back to her friend's problems. "forget about him- they will NEVER last!!!" sara grabbed tara's hand, "let's go back to the party!"

the music stopped and the big screen tv was turned on to MTV and the countdown was on.marissa and michael had finally stopped dancing and they refreshed with some punch. his arm was around her waist as they sipped. landon and karla were huddled by the tv, watching the VJ's countdown. 10... 9... sara pushed through the crowd, trying to get to sam. 7..6..5.. she leaped over a sleeping body.. 4..3.. he looked up and saw her, starting to smile. he put her arms around her- and kissed her. 2..1.. confetti buzzed around the room and everything was just a blur of color. tara was happily hugging and kissing everyone around her. wow, it will be interesting to see them next week at school!

Part 3 of New Years Eve-

tara climbed the stairs to sara's attic. she had been there many times. the attic had been renovated into a playroom a few years ago and tara had memories of sleepovers, girl talk, and truth or dare in that room. she pushed through the door and went to settle in her favorite spot of the room. the window seat. she pulled a quilt up over her and pressed her cheek against the cold glass of the window. she thought about landon asking karla to dance. he hadn't shown much intrest in her before? why all of a sudden?? did he like her?? questions buzzed through her mind. but- it was new years and she wasn't going to let anything or anyone get her down. she threw the blanket off and went over to open the door out. she pulled on the brass knob and there- standing in her way was landon and kara, lips locked. she pushed past them in discrace and ran down the stairs.

marissa shook her hips wildly while dancing. she was as happy as she had been in a long time. she was with a great guy, Michael, he was cute and mysterious. marissa grabbed his hands and they danced happily. michael pulled here close. he whispered in her ear softly, "be my girlfriend"she nodded and wrapped her arms around him, their bodies close, still both dancing to the music.

landon kissed karla softly then pulled away, they were both smiling. she put her hand in his and breathed in his warm, clean scent. "lets go back to the party'' she grabbed his hands and they walked out of the room.

tara held her face tight as she searched the room. she saw dan in the corner, trying to chat up some girl as usual. marissa was with that new guy, looking happy. sam was talking basketball with a group of boys and sara was standing close to him, looking confused. she saw a guy in the corner, looking dazed and strumming on a guitar lightly, not that anyone could hear over the loud music. tara went and sat next to him, straining to hear the music. "come play me a song," she lead him off down the hall.

i'm still typing right now- i just posted this to get more out.. the story is almost finished!!!

Okay people- here's a lil refresher 4 what happened last time-

Sara and Brittney throw a New Years Eve Party.. Sara is glad to have found a new friend... and *shock* sara likes landon- despite her best friend's histor with him... Tara is trying to reform a lil bit- will it last?..Marissa decides that she needs to become the life of the party and she gets the party started... Landon and Sam are about to arrive at the PaRtAaAyyy!!!

Landon looked around the room. he noticed the girls in the corner so he led sam through the crowd of wild and sweaty dancers to them. They all said "hey" and then a slow song came on. marissa left to go dance with a tall guy from the across town school- wow she is changed.landon turned to sam and they seemed to read eachothers minds about who to dance with. sam took sara's hand and lead her to the middle of the room, where she put her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes. landon looked between tara and karla. karla's hair was in blonde ringlets and her face was smooth. tara was toned down a bit tonight- her hair was straightened and soft and her eyes seemed less intense. landon started to feel the pressure. but he knew he should follow his heart- he grabbed her hand and lead her away.

Across the room, sam was beaming. and- adding to the drama, he likes sara. i see a love triangle emerging- sam likes sara and sara likes landon- sam's best friend. eek!

Landon pulled karla *yes he picked her* closer to him, and they swayed in time to the music. everyone in the room seemed happy- except tara. she was used to being the first one taken- not the only one not taken. she tipped her coke up and finished it quickly. she tossed the empty dixie cup into the trash can and looked for someone to drown with her sorrows.

sorry i haven't written in a bit.. i went to a new years eve party and was out all night and then the next days i slept and recovered. i thought of closing the site.. but then i decided against it.. some people have expressed alot of intrest in the site. so... here's how the stories r gonna go.. i'm just going to outline what "happened" and then i will give some like sample paragraphs.. i would write like a big story- but that would take 4ever.

new years eve-

like every year- sara and brittney (next door neighbors) throw a party. the whole gang is there. there is loud music as sam and landon enter. they immediatley go over to sara, tara, marissa, and karla to say hi.

Tara mentally assessed the room around her. She had to admit that the party had, had a pretty good turn out- despite her original thoughts. She was surprised that Sara, HER best friend, was up for spending all that time with brittney, who, although she was nice - she was still not accepted by everyone. And Brittney's luck with Landon and Sam was about to run out- her sister was packing up to go and live in NewYork with her boyfriend, where she would finish up school and then hopefully get into NYU. Tara wondered how all the people around her appeared to be having fun- yet they were just standing around their drinks- chatting quietly. and in a party with alot of pottencial- she just couldn't understand it. But she just took another sip of her soda and said nothing. It WAS her New Year's resolution to not party as much.

Marissa also was checking out the room. She knew that it needed a kick - and she thought that she was the one to give it. She edged through the crowd and stopped in front of the sound system. She flipped through the cds until she found a song that would get everyone dancing and screaming. She pulled the disc out of its clears slot and put it into the drive. Before pressing play she hesitated. It wasn't like her to do something like this. But it was a new year and a new her. and if being a party girl was what attracted guys- she would do whatever it takes. She turned the volume dial up as high as it would go and pressed play. The music blasted from the speakers all over the room and the guests perked up. Within 5 min. everyone was dancing wildly. The only people not were sara, tara, and karla- they were waiting close to the door talking. Marissa looked around at the newly brightened party. Yes, whatever it takes, she thought and then she went over to join her friends.

Sara was beaming with delight about her party. She may have actually found a friend in Brittney- and now she would have a friend who was as into sports as she was. They had already practiced a little bit for the upcoming season of track. She noticed the front door open and Landon and Sam mad their way in. Sara sighed in upset. She had a secret. A big secret. She liked Landon- A LOT. but he had kind of been proclaimed to her best friend. she could NEVER let it get out that she liked him EVER. but it was hard for her to hide her feelings, they were very strong indeed.

** k people! i hope u like it so far.. i will try to finish up the party when i next have time- believe me- there are some twists and turns ahead.

Goodness people! There has been ALOT of powerful comments on the site.. one said that most of the comments were negative- i counted 12 postitive, 6 negative, 7 not stating an opinion, 2 inbetweens, and 1 accusing me of being someone i'm not. well i'm very sorry for trying to make something fun for people- and i'm amazed at how much zeldanerd knows about everything!!! well actually she knows NOTHING!!! i feel sorry 4 the girl who is being accused of running my site- zeldanerd sounded mad at her. Soooo... New Rule: Don't visit the site if u don't want to. There are people out there who posted the 12 comments and like to hear... a FICTIONAL STORY. thats right NONE OF ITS TRUE- its just inspired by people i have met during my life, my family has moved alot and i just pictured people from the diffrent places and made them friends with other people. I am a junior and i'm writing this as a creative writing peice for a class that i take outside of school.- i am 17 and i live in North Carolina. I can't reveal my full name or city because of the stupid rules at the recreation center where i take my class. But- my first name is Bailey and i hope to be a FICTIONAL writer someday. i go to my class later, in the afternoon so i'll have to look at this site again then and i'll post a STORY for those of whom who enjoy it. its only supposed to be fun.
