| Conclusion to Winter Break...Iiiiiiiiiit's Friday. This is the last enjoyable day I will have
being back in Cleveland X-Ms break. I would much rather be in
Cleveland this point. I guess I would say that I am more calm and
less stressed when I am not in Akron. So anywho, I enjoyed
some things over this break. One thing was the new smoking ban in
public places although some places, even bars have refused to follow
the new law and have told me their false reasons for why they don't
follow it. Well those couple places have been reported to the
American Cancer Society so maybe those places will think twice about
their decisions because personally I think the fines will be too large
to handle to risk breaking the law.
What's funny is businesses are not hurting by the new smoking laws, if
anything they have stayed the same or gotten better. You are
supposed to go to a restaurant and eat and a bar to drink. If you
want to smoke, don't make a big deal of it and just go outside if you
want to give yourself cancer that bad. Just don't be ignorant
sons of bitches and keep your smoke away from me. In the long
run, you have to follow the law and shouldn't complain about it anyway
because you can't stop it.
Which brings me to another thing. People can't get over
themselves at all and still proudly keep their John Kerry stickers on
the back of their cars. Or the stickers that say "Bush is not my
president." He is your president. He is president of the
United States and you can't do anything about it. I am beginning
to think that people will never stop crying over the fact that Bush won
a second term. That's the same thing as saying that the president
of the University of Akron is not your president. Well if you are
student at the university and he is the president, therefore he is your
president. If he isn't, then who is, the guy who ran that works
at the Sizzling Zone but isn't president of the university. What?
Do you go to him everyday asking him what the status is on the
university's endowment? Well I guess he would know because he is
your president, although he isn't president of the university. He
is just YOUR FREAKIN' president.
Get over yourselves people!

| Here is how it has been.
I have been known as an emotionally unstable guy my entire life. I don't fight peer pressure very easily and my close friends know that. My close friends also know the kind of guy I am. For one, I am not stupid, I consider myself educated, I don't appreciated being talked to like I have an IQ level of a 5th grader. That has happened this year.
Also, women, they will get ya. I may never get lucky. I keep telling myself to not let myself like someone but it keeps happening. This stupid game that people play, ok for one I don't ike mind games. I will let go that easy if I have to be suckered into playing games. You can tell me that is old fashioned, but I bet I can get 5 guys right now that won't tolerate that crap. OK, grow up for once and be an honest person. I just feel so out of it everyday because of the environment that is around me. People expect me to act a certain way around here. I mean it's so funny that in Akron, people know me for 5 seconds and can already figure out what kinda person I am instead of seeing the real me.
On a good note, someone gave a presentation in class today about this wine bar in Hudson. I went to the website and it was fantabulous. Great selection of wine, finally a wine bar that has more cabernets than Merlot. I'm not drinking f*ckin Merlot. The food too, man I wanna try this place. Downtown 140 is the name of it.
| Hey folks. At this point right now, I can be really busy throughout my regualr day. Theta Chi things going on or ZPN things going on. I am one of those people who tries or wishes to be in two places at once but can't. I hope the ZPN people realize I help them out when I can as well as Theta Chi. I have obligations that take place before something else and I try to balance them out but it isn't easy.
These next couple weeks, I gotta plan next semester's recruitment, read this book for this marketing seminar I have been going to for the past 3 weeks, and type up my portion of a research project I have been working on for my Communication Research class. This is a senior class I should be taking next year but I jumped ahead. I am glad I got it overwith because the class was not easy. At least with the ass-**** professor I had. I don't know if anyone else has ever had a professor that has insulted his class just for not knowing was certain words mean in the real world. You are supposed to be preparing us for that you little jerk.
Other than that, can't wait for next semester- better classes with good professors, no more speech classes, no more evening classes, more time to work on homework and study, fun ZPN events, more sleep time, and a more refreshed mind.

| OK Folks,
Today, I helped the freshmen move in to their "dorms". The carts they gave us to hang onto were crappy. Everyone had stuff fall off at least once. OK so we got free food from Rob's which helped. I did some yard work around the house here which needed to be done, you know weed wacking and such. Ok so about today, every person I helped move in was a female. Lots of females going to Akron this year basically. Hectic opening weekend of course and I just hope everything works out this year with recruitment and academics. I am not in the mood for the evil monkey or people to give me sh*t right now. I need to stay positive and keep myself feeling on top. I guess Labor Day weekend will always be there for a reason.
| OK Fellers (as Bob Barker would say), welcome to another installment of what is known as a Xanga entry. After this summer, I have given myself many pats on the back for what I have accomplished, what I have learned, and what I have pursued. Tonight is the last day of my 13 week job at Bescast working on parts for airplane engines. I have survived 60 nights of working the 3rd shift with people who live in white houses. I worked hard and made money to help me survive this year. I have taken advantage of being off during the day and of the summer itself. Without any further a due, here now is a list of what I have gotten out of this summer:
1) I realized my whole life is "hurry up and wait", "hurry up and wait". 2) A Bronx Tale (my favorite movie) gets better and better everytime I watch it. 3) 2Pac is still alive. 4) Full House reruns are a great way to kill time. 5) Uncle Jesse's hair isn't that great, I don't get why he likes it so much. 6) The Original House of Pancakes is way better than the International House of Pancakes. 7) Dave Matthews' concerts get better every year at Blossom. 8) Stay in college, you have to get an education, it doesn't just lay on a plate for you. 9) Vince Cifiani is the best Photoshopper there is. 10) Listening to the oldies or the classics ease my drives to work. 11) Sam Adams Boston Lager made my Top 5 beer list. 12) Richmond Heights drivers are still the slowest drivers. 13) Georgio's pizza is better than any other pizza parlor pizza. 14) Chivalry does not exist in a college gal's dictionary. 15) People need to learn how to answer questions until they are answered. 16) Max and Erma's still has the best burgers you can find in the U.S. 17) Q104.1 for some reason has begun to play country music? 18) The Indians don't know what the hell they are doing again. 19) Cleveland (The Browns) has been jinxed again with injuries. 20) Second hand smoke should be called second lung smoke.
