| Update: I heard what I consider bad news- I am sad. Other than that, I'm good. Today was Jackie's birthday and the day all the parents and relatives and stuff go up to scout camp for dinner and such, so we killed two birds with one stone : ) Before dinner we walked to the troops camp site (at most half amile from the dining place) and, of course, it started to pour before we all left to walk back to the dining place, continued to rain for 15 or so mins while we waited for dinner, and while I was holding my family's place in line. After dinner it had stopped tho, so we did the cup-cake cake, ice cream, and stuff outside- mucho fun. Saw Chris briefly [VERY briefly], saw Todd but did not talk to him, saw Chris's girl but did not get to meet her, and talked to my baby brother while he wasn't bust being cool. It was fun. I was quiet. Not much excitement other than that, not much work, ALOT of read (big surprise), runningoutside again when it's cool enough, and the gym is fun... "fun". Plus [high]school is over, and I'm not quite sure how I fel about that. But after 2 months of contemplation, torture and flip-flopping, plus some pressurefrom dad, I'm taking my Air Force schol. to Penn State instead of UK. I really wanted to go down to UK, but at Penn I get my major and it's tougher, plus the tuition is covered for my 5-year major (blah), so all is well :) I hope. Hope anyone else who actually reads this is well as well. Quite. Later. | | |
| HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to Sir Laurence Olivier- if Larry was still alive today, he would just be turning 100, so hazaa to the memory of one of the greatest actors of all time
Happy belated b-day to me as well. My big 1-8 was on Saturday and it was definitely a good day. Slept really late, went to Red Lobster for a FEAST, got new shoes, got my presents and cake and such from the family, Chick, and Nick, then Chick, Nick, JP, Jack, Meg, and I went to see a late showing of Shrek 3 which I thought was pretty funny- it had a good pace as well unlike Spiderman 3. Finished my 3 last BIG projects in school [Physics from Hershey Park, Psych Chapters 3 &4, and English Senior Book] I was up until 5 am last night finishing the psych and english and I've been going on about 1hr and 50 mins of sleep. So, I need to go to sleep... badly. Before I do though, just wanted to mention that my final band banquet was tonight! I'm a little bit sad about that since I definitely will not see ANY of those people again for a very long time since I'm going down to Kentucky and all. I was kinda mad tho at the beginning since I was looking for a table with 4 other people, Chick, Nick, Meg, and Anthony, and they took the last 4 seats at a table and left me to stand all by myself looking like an idot, so Sabrina got up to be with me and said we should ask the caterers for an extra seat- they were jerk faces and said no. I asked Chickey to go with me somewhere else so I wouldn't be completely alone, of course she didn't want to and ONLY THEN did Anthony get up to grab a seat from elsewhere to squeeze in to the one side of the table. It sucked. The rest of the night was good tho. Guest speaker was good by the end, senior awards were cool, I got my plaque, laughed, etc. Band/guard is definitely the one thing I will miss the most, or at least the people. I'm tired tho, and I'm gonna go read my newest book- "Darcy's Story"; I AM SO EXCITED, more P&P for me! Tired... gotta go | | |
| Das Leben ist entweder ein großartiges Abenteuer, oder es ist nichts That's my favorite quote (it's originally auf Englisch, I just wanted to mess it up a bit)- Wouldhave put that in the yearbook... but I heard it after I turned my paper in- bummer. So, Hershey Park trip tomorrow, and I am not excited, gotta tell ya. I will be there for 5 or 6 hours by myself since the other 3 members of my group are taking the AP English test, but hey you gotta do what you gotta do. Unfortunately, what I gotta do is take a TON of measurements and do a TON of calculations while they're testing and then waiting an extra hour for a teacher to take them to the park. Should be a long, tedious, boring day, but we have the Wildcat, and I love the Wildcat, so hazaa for that! Also, hazaa for the fact I pretty much got a job today [at the movie theater]. I was gonna start this weekend, but I needed off the 18th and 19th, so they're just gonna start me after that- yay! I get money again! But the minute I told my dad that, he said I should get a second job as well. Just couldn't wait 5 mins to bask in my glory before deciding to tell me I needed to do more. Fun. I am excited though- I love movies, so working at a movie theater seems pretty logical, yes? YES! Other than that, ummm, not much. We're picking JP up on friday- he wants me to leave prom early to go see a late night shrek with him and thus far I have no problems with that [we would simultaneously be celebrating my dog's b-day when we go in on the 18th, and my birthday when we leave the theater on the 19th!]. I believe I'm going, as usual, with friends to prom, i.e. Melissa and Chickey. Unless Chicky dcides to hang on Josh in which case I will be having none of that. Nonono I also got my yearbook yesterday! It looks really nice, it's just some of the the pictures and the layouts are little funky. Now I'm just working on those signatures! Other than that though, I gotta go! Still need to put my stuff together for tomorrow and I feel like reading some more tonight anyway- see ya later! PS- If you see me next Tuesday, remind me to watch TCM at 8pm- the original Wuthering Heights (1939) is on and I absolutely LOVE that movie.. and Laurence Olivier [who is in that movie]! I really do not want to forget about it, but knowing me and my absent minded ways... | | |
| Soo... it has been awhile... quite awhile Not much has really happened though. I still don't know where I want to go to college or what on earth I want to do during/after college, but...yeah. I dunno. Anyway, I need to get a job, so I applied to be a dietary aide somewhere after Jamie finally brought the application to school. Maybe I'll get that one. Would be nice to have some extra cash agian, but running takes up alot of my times lately, and now Chickey likes/wants to go with me (I don't get to run as long or far right now tho since she's just starting). And school takes up the other majority of my time- mostly math since it's the only homework I really do except for English [we are reading Pride & Prejudice FINALLY, and I LOVE it even tho Chick doesn't get it and Tylor doesn't like the people in there... stupid heads...] Dad's home from KY in other news; he was only gone a week, but he went to see Pappaw and the family down there since Pappaw was having heart surgery this week. I believe he's doing better now, so yeah, that's good. We were going to go see them over easter, but I don't think we will anymore. That's fine by me tho, I prefer to stay home anyway, plus a 10 or 12 hour drive is just a wee bit too much for me... So, that's was a pretty boring entry, but hey, it had to be done. Hopefully I'll have something more interesting to tell you later! PS- Finally got Chickey to watch one of my two fav movies [Good Will Hunting] last night... but she fell asleep about half an hour into it since it was late and she can't stay up past midnight, and then another half hour today before we had to leave her house to get her sister... she'll see it all eventually. Everyone should | | |
| So.. today was bad for a little bit. Mostly because I pretty much failed my math test and then I did my health wrong and presented it poorly- bah. THEN, however, after health, I had to go to the library for English. Nickey stopped to wait for Anthony 2 doors down from health, and I kept going, halfway down the hall, I hear this "Hey" from behind me. And guess who it was! [If you can't guess I won't tell you] But yeah, it was great. Talked to him about being afraid of the dark (which I am at night), scary movies, and our authors for english. It was a grande old time (for me at least) . Then I just talked to Tylor and Chickey through English and afterwards. In the hall tho, Tylor kept poking me, and he hit a bad spot once, so the arm/hand in which I was holding a shirt flew back and he got whipped with it [the shirt]. Felt bad but he deserved it. He says that if I go to Gettysburg he will absolutely torture me with the poking... what incentive... Anywho, today was pretty good too. Almost better than yesterday just because of the post-health fun. MUN wasn't even bad, except for Andrew telling me I always look terrible (apparently he meant "angry"). Long enough type for today, hope everyone else had a good day too- later. | | |
