***the short and sweet post***

Some of you may be asking, "Man, what happend to that dude?  Did he jump of the face of the world????  Well, no.  But I've moved my blogs mostly over to MySpace.  So you can keep up with me there.

Until then...God Bless!

***the 'I'M NOT DEAD YET...' post***

"Yes yes, y'all--and it don't stop"...sorry, I'm not sure where that came from.  (maybe it's from listening to too much KJ-52 and Grits lately).

Any, yes, I AM alive (much to the Enemy's dismay, you can't kill what's already died...with Christ that is; you know, baptism??? Ever heard of it?).

Moving on, I had some time so I thought I'd at LEAST let y'all know that I'm still rockin' it.  \

Still working at InfoNXX.  Still makin' money...not necessarily lovin' it, but makin' money.

Getting ready to move!  It's finally time for me to be out on my own again (not living with my boy Otter and his parents).  I can't pray for enough blessings for them and their willingness to put up with me.    It's been awesome to be there. Oh yeah, and I almost forgot...

I HAVE WHEELS!!!!

Well, not 'me' literally...that'd just be weird, but I am now the proud owner of a '92 Geo Metro.  Little, white, and purring on all 3 cylindars of gas-friendly power--it's also a massive blessing.

And back in July, I took a trip with my church's youth group, Element26, out to beautiful and bumpy Colorado.  It was a blast.  And now, a few things I learned on my trip (which my friend Emily told me I was "tempting fate" going out there because I had just gotten health insurance)--

1) Duckies!!  What are they?  Do you know what kayaks are?  Okay, now you've got an idea...but these are inflatable kayaks.  They are designed to "not tip over"...*buzzer*...WRONG!!  I fell into a river and I can't swim!  Praise God for PFD's!! (i.e. Personal Flotation Device)  I laughed, I cried, but I made it.  All and all it was fun, and some of the scenery was downright amazing.  God's creation ROCKS!! (no pun intended...seriously...stop looking at me like that.)

2) In Colorado, they like to use fun words to take the fear out of your expectations.  'Exhilarating' can mean a multitude of things:  a) Extremely colder than what you're used to, as in the waterfall that we all stood under (not at the same time)...which is from snow runoff.  b)  It can also mean 'beyond your normal prior experiences', as in the river that caught so many of us off guard  c) Overwhelming views, like when we hiked up to the Continental Divide, and I could nothing much else than look around for miles and miles, and was reminded of when I was younger (like 10 or 12), when my parents and I tripped to Colorado.  I pointed up to some hills (and mountains) when I was little (where there is still snow in July), saying to my parents "Can we just stop so I can run up to the top of there really quick?", to which I was answered with "You don't realize how high up that is, or how long it would take you to get there."----now I do.  Mom, I miss you...you haven't failed, because God's not done with us "kids" yet......

3) As fun as things were in Colorado, I love it here in Kansas.  Ahh...to be where it's flat again.  This truly is home.

There is so much that happened on that trip, like having 20 mosquitoes on you at once (they were brutal), and sharing movie quotes between vehicles on walkie-talkies ("...I don't even own a-gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack.  What am I gonna do, with a gun-rack?"  --Wayne's World), and trying to start a fire (I won't even go there, lest I incriminate some related parties), but all of that will wait until next time...or if I speak to you in person (or on the phone...y'all know who you are...call a man back, for cryin' out loud!).

Until next time, y'all, God's best for ya...

I'm out.

***the GOOD FRIDAY post***

So, before I get any farther, thanks to the D for letting me use his laptop (mad props, bro).

Anyway, LOVING my new job at InfoNXX; it's been an awesome blessing to be there, and God is continuing to amaze me in His provision.  I'm on a budget, thanks to Dave Ramsey's "Financial Peace University", and life is pretty good.

I am still "friends" with Emily, but so far that's all I feel led to be at this time.  And though that does mean that I might hang out with her at times, I'm doing a lot less to "help" her.  And yes, I am "watching my back" so-to-speak because His "kingdom and righteousness" are above all...

I've been able to get back in touch with some of my friends from "back in the day" lately, and it's been cool for me to be able to fellowship with them again.

Prayer requests: for my church fam at Live Oaks, for my fam fam, and for all of my friends.  Specifically, that God will continue to lead me on His path.  I felt a longing the other day for Him to lead me on a new adventure (whatever that may be), so I'm anxious, but yet patient to see what He has for me next.

Until next time, y'all, I hope that all of you are finding the best that God has for your own lives.  Rock On, and God Bless!!

***the FOR NO BETTER REASON post***

Wassup, y'all??

Okay, so I was lacking in the "creative-post-titles" area today--I'm sorry; I was a bit distracted.

Anyway, before I go any further....

****PRAYER REQUEST ALERT****

Alright, I know a LOT of people (or at least an over-average amount) that have either lost grandparents in the past week, or their grandparents have been in the hospital recently.  (people from my church, work, my boy The D...it's been a tad odd, somewhat)

At any rate, please be in prayer for them.

And while I'm thinking about prayer, I've been trying to let of some things in my life lately, and, if anything, I'd like to ask for your prayers that God will grant me the strength to let go of those things.

**End Alert**

Okay, in other news:

1) Be on the lookout for a semi-random contest coming to this page!  The Grand Prize??  Okay, so there isn't a prize, but I thought it'd at least be fun...c'mon, creativity can be good...right?  Okay, so it can also be horribly bad......oh shush...

2) Thanks Eric, for the idea....

***the 8 DAYS LATER post***

Yes, y'all...the Super Bowl has come and gone for another year.  The Steelers are Champs, and the Seahawks remain, well, Seahawks.  (What is a 'Seahawk' anyway??  But then again, what's a Jayhawk?  Okay, okay...hush...I DO know, I AM from Kansas...sheesh).

The commercials were far better this year, and I was happy with that.    And although I think I might be in a class by myself on this one, my fave Super Bowl commercial this year was Burger King's "Broadway" version of 'the Whopper'.  To watch it for yourself, go here, and click on '2006'.  (there's also commercials from year's past.  Yes, I know it links to ifilm...webheads--gotta love 'em!)   Anyway, I found it horribly entertaining, but, maybe that's just me...maybe I'm weird...nevermind, I know I'm weird.  Yeah, moving on...

That brings me to my next thought.  One of my first Xanga posts was on the Super Bowl 2-3 years ago.  I was, and continued for quite a long while to be annoyed with Cadillac commercials, with clips of that same 5-30 seconds of whatever classic rock song it may be.  (see enough of these things, and you'll know what I'm talking about.)  And I was thrilled to finally see a Caddy commercial WITHOUT THAT SONG!!!!  ....

.....

.....

Okay, so I also kind of like the looks of the new Escalade...although hopefully the one's that hit the lots won't have that 'drippy' thing going on.  The last thing this world needs is cars that melt...on leak profusely, there's already too many of those.  Cheap seals and gaskets......grrrrrr....

By the way, in case you haven't noticed, I'm listening to P.O.D.   LOVE the new disc.  Can't get enough, yo!

Anyway, keep praying and walking the walk y'all...

Talk to ya soon......I hope!!
