感謝主 ~ Bible Reading Competition

當評判宣佈冠軍得主時，我幾乎不敢相信自己的耳朵．．．．．．

那是我的名字。

我戰戰兢兢地走到台上，接過那支獎旗，聽著評判的誇獎，口裏不停道謝。

但我心裏知道，我不配得到這個獎項，因為我從來沒有找過 mrs Seto 練習，因為我比賽前一天才第一次看過這篇朗誦篇章，因為我比賽當天才搞清楚自己要讀 Daniel Chapter 7 verses 2-8 而不是 verses 2-7.

記得中二、中三的時候我也有參加 Bible Reading，那時總是很早就已經找老師練習，把篇章練得很熟，學到許多 techniques，但結果只是第三、第四．

那時的我，還是一個無神論者，當時可能有好好的朗誦技巧，可能滿有信心，但這一切一切，不是由心而發。

反而今次，即使沒有很好的 preparation，沒有信心地站在台上，但有神與我同在。

只要有神同在，一切不可能將變成可能．

We are small,

but we Plus GOD is

BIG.

學會放棄

當一個人變得越來越忙碌，他即使有了更多的學習機會，但失去了思考的時間，到最後亦只會一無所穫。

既然遊走在眾多活動與學習的機會之間，不如停下來，駐足思考一下自己的體會。

沒有了思考，一切都失去了其意義。

放棄了一次學習機會，換來更多思考空間。

無悔．

There was an atheist couple who had a child. The couple never told their daughter anything about the Lord. One night when the little girl was 5 years old, the parents fought with each other and the dad shot the

Funny, isn't it?

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell.

Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.

Funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not have to believe, think, say, or do anything the Bible says. (Or is it scary?)

Funny how someone can say "I believe in God" but still follow Satan (who, by the way, also "believes" in God).

Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start sending messages regarding the
Lord, people think twice about sharing.

Funny how the lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene pass freely through
cyberspace, but the public discussion of Jesus is suppressed in the
school and workplace.

Funny how when you go to forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it to them.

Funny how we can go to church for Christ on Sunday, but be an invisible Christian the rest of the week. (Are you laughing?)

Funny how I can be more worried about what other people think of me than what God thinks of me. (Are you thinking?)
