| things can only get better, right?. :[* songs addicted to at the moment: *]: . Justin Timberlake - Lovestoned (Tiesto Club Mix) Nujabes - Feather (Feat. Cise Starr & Akin From Cyne)
. :[* Things can only get better, right? *]: .
As much as I try to keep this updated, I always seem to forget
about my Xanga page. It’s already been
about 3 months since my last blog, so here is an update. Since my last post, I’ve gone to two
weddings, Mel & Rich and also Nat & Jei’s. I was supposed to go to Rich’s bachelor party;
unfortunately I wasn’t able to go. For Jei’s though, I was able to attend the
fun. I think I have another wedding to go to later
this year, a lot of my friends are getting married, so who’s next? (not me)
I’ve actually gone through one of the worst times in my
life. If you are one of my closer
friends, then you know exactly what I am talking about. These past months have been a roller coaster
of a ride for me. Sometimes mistakes in
your past will catch up and haunt you, and it defiantly has came back to bite
me in the ass big time. I’m not religious man, but I do believe in
Karma. What goes around comes
around. This past Monday things have
swung in full circle and have impacted me in such a way that it will affect me
the rest of my life. I cannot take back the biggest mistake I've done so far in my life.
I can only learn from this experience, move on, and try to make the best
of the situation and become a better person from it. The outcome of it all wasn’t
as bad as it could have, yet not as good as I was hoping for. But it’s still not the end of it. I’m trying to stay positive, and consider
this just another speed bump in life. But
I’ll see how the cards of life will play out for me. Wish me luck!
Until next time….

. :[* words for thought... *]: .
A carrot, an egg, and a cup of coffee.... You will never look at a cup of coffee the same way again.
A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose.
Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil; without saying a word.
In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl.
Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, 'Tell me what you see.'
'Carrots, eggs, and coffee,' she replied.
Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg.
Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled, as she tasted its rich aroma the daughter then asked, 'What does it mean, mother?'
Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak.
The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened.
The ground coffee beans were unique, however. After they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water.
'Which are you?' she asked her daughter. 'When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?
Think of this: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength?
Am I the egg that starts with a malleable heart, but changes with the heat? Did I have a fluid spirit, but after a death, a breakup, a financial hardship or some other trial, have I become hardened and stiff? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside am I bitter and tough with a stiff spirit and hardened heart?
Or am I like the coffee bean? The bean actually changes the hot water, the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavor. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you get better and change the situation around you.
When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate yourself to another level? How do you handle adversity? Are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?
May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human and enough hope to make you happy..
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling.
Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
May we all be COFFEE!!!!!!!!
| Welcome Abby! One of my best friends Adriel and his wifey Lesh had their first kid yesterday at 9:44pm. Abby I can't wait to meet you! Hope you like everything I got for you.
For some reason I am still awake. I finished playing WoW 30 minutes ago, and now I am just sitting to some mp3s so I decided to blog. Thoughts in my mind, but I am going to have to put them to rest. It's time for some sleep!

| That's two (posts) for this year! /cheerHere is my second attempt of the year, to keep the blog I
started back in ’02 updated. Since my
last post, some close friends and I had our yearly tradition, winter potluck
white elephant gift exchange party. Once
again, I stayed completely sober for this party and didn’t get completely
trashed like how I usually do. We will see how long this trend will last. x_X
As usual, the food was excellent and brought me straight to food coma. I modified the rules to the white elephant
gift exchange drinking aspect, so there was no shot penalty if someone stole
your gift, only if you stole someone
else’s gift. I also took off the cap for
the amount of times a gift could be stolen, so in theory people could steal
back their gifts if someone else took it, which did happen and everyone got all
excited about it because it was so funny.
After most of the people left the party before 12ish, a couple of us who remained sat around, talked and
reminisced about the good o’ partying days.
We’ve come to the conclusion that we are getting so old, since we are
getting tired so quickly and so many people already left the party. In years past, we would still be drinking and
yelling at the top of our lungs. LOL
Last weekend I went snowboarding at Sierra with Yosh. Was finally able to hit up the slopes this
year and I had a blast! The idea of
gambling the night before didn’t pan out so well. I ended up staying up the whole night player
hold’em, which was fun. However the
following morning when we went snowboarding, I could not hang for the whole
day. I noticed I got tired pretty
quickly. But I must admit this was one
of the best snow days I’ve ever experienced in my life. It was snowing a little bit, so we got fresh
powder that made it oh so soft when I fell down and also added some cool
effects. Can’t wait for my next trip, woohoo!
Today is Super Bowl XLII.
Honestly I am not even that excited about the game, as I don’t really
care about either team. However, I would
love for the Giants to beat the Patriots; I am tired of hearing how great they
are. =P
On a last note, I am considering starting up WoW (World of
Warcraft) again. I know what I am
getting myself into, and am still not sure if I should play. Since I’ve become a homebody, trying not to
go out and save money, this is the perfect way.
Yet I know how these kinds of games completely kill any social life
whatsoever. Anyone else play? If not, nice knowing you guys? LOL,
we will see.
Until next time
my friends.

| Does anyone still read this anymore? *cricket sound* It’s
been a year since I’ve last posted a blog. Holy smokes batman!
On this chalkboard venue I express and share my thoughts,
feelings, and my life with you! (NOT SO) exciting stuff, I know I know! I
actually didn’t think I would do another blog, but Beth Beth called my bluff!
So here goes, I’ll try a little update since my 1 year anniversary of my last
blog.
My life has gone through its up and downs, which I’ve shared
some details with a few close friends.
All in all, it’s made me think a lot about life and the direction it’s
leading to. I am still in the same
industry (property management) and have since moved up the ranks.
I’ve been stressed out at work and been thinking about switching ship to
another company. It’s always good to
look at other options and learn you value in the market. Aside from work, I’ve
been trying to save up to buy a house.
I’ve giving up my old partying lifestyle and been a home body.
I’ve even given up drinking along with my other old bad *cough cough* habits
for the past 4 months. I’ve even went to
a wedding earlier tonight (errr last night) and still didn’t take a sip of any
alcoholic delights. Seriously that is a
first (and hopefully last)! HA!
Anyways, I’ll end this here on positive note! Hapa belated
new years everyone! I’ll post some pix from the wedding I just got back from. p.s. if anyone wants to make some snowboarding trips, send comments this way!!! x_X
p.s.s. ohpoopsie…....

| . :[* Fun Factor as cold as the weather *]: . Holy snaps, is it
2007 already? Call me Mister MIA, because sometimes I don’t even know where I
am or what I am doing. At times it feels
like I am a walking zombie, running purely off coffee beans. (Dead Rising anyone?) I’ve worked every freaking day in the month
of December, at least until Christmas day arrived! Thanks goodness for
Christmas, because both jobs have kicked my ass. At least I got to enjoy three days off in a
row, which is simply amazing. Every day
I’ve had to either work one job, or both jobs the same day. Leave work to just go to my other job. Life has consisted of: wake up, take a
shower, go to work, (sometimes go to other job), come home, take another
shower, and sleep. **repeat cycle** The
good thing about working so much is that I don’t have any time to spend
money (reminds me of my old SWG addiction way blog when). So I’ve been doing a good job at one of my
goals, which is to save some money. I’ve
been so busy as of late that haven’t had any real time to hang out with
anybody. I don’t even remember what it’s
like to party and get stupid with the homies.
For a four and a half month stretch, I’ve even gave up burning trees,
that is until sometime during new years. I’ve been trying to stay focused on the
things I need to get done, however one of the things I’ve been lacking is going
to the gym (gluttony, one of the seven deadly sins). Lately I’ve only gone once a week compared to
what I was doing before, 4-5 times a week.
I guess too much work will do that to you, huh? I finally got to go snow
boarding this season, I went on January 3rd and 9th. I
got to experience Boreal for the first time, and that place sucks! Also, I got
to hit up Northstar and I rather enjoyed that place. Maybe I’ll try to hit it up again this week!
I got to start adding the fun factor back into my life and make this ride worth
while! Speaking of which, I am also going to go to Vegas in two weeks, so
that should be fun loaded with lots of (censored) and (censored). Until next
time …. . :[* photomoto dot net *]: . 2006-01-01 Crabbing in SF!?!

. :[* Joke of the Day : Off To Vegas *]: .
A
man came home from work one day to find his wife on the front porch with her
bags packed.
'Just where the heck do you think you're going!', said the man.
'I'm going to Las Vegas', said
the wife, 'I just found out I can get $400 a night for what I give you for
free!
'The man said, 'Wait a minute!', and then ran inside the house only to come
back a few minutes later with his suitcases in hand.
'Where the heck are you going?', said the wife.
The man said, 'I want to see how you're gonna live on $800 a year!'
