  • New photo blog

I'm not sure if anyone really comes here anymore.  I wasn't going to go 'public' with my other blog site, but first I gave it to one of my young friends, then another...I guess I might as well post it here.  I'm supposed to take a picture a day for it...but it's not working out that way.  But I am at least taking pictures consistently.  So if you are interested, here's the link.

  • I took this picture from the door in our kitchen...a window door.  I really liked the way the light was hitting this buck.  I told my brother, who was out hunting, that I shot a deer.  He asked if I had it hung yet, and I said  'not yet, but I'm thinking of hanging him on my wall.'  There are so many little good gifts in life.  I pray that I will be thankful and grateful for each one and not come to think of them as my due.  IMG_0620b

  • 24 hours!

I decided to do photos from a twenty-four hour period.  I chose from New Year's Eve to be the day.

Here are the pictures...not chosen for artistic value, just to show the day.

    imageTori eating breakfast...

just cut-up fruit and toast with jelly.  Guess what that is in the bottle with the red top?  You'll find out!imageArt's always the first one out in the car waiting for us.

Lots of times on cold mornings he comes out early to warm up the car for us.imageEventually everyone straggles out.imageOur church...not exactly traditional in architecture.imageHere we go...I didn't take any pictures inside.

But afterwards we went to Panera for lunch...image

When we got home we played some games...imageimageHas anyone ever played Golf in cards?

I just learned it and Up the River Down the River.  Fun!

Okay, now you get to find out about the bottle with the red top in the first picture.

I kept complaining about the squirrels eating all the bird seed in my feeders,

so the kids bought me a BBgun for Christmas to scare them away!

And it seems to be working.  And we haven't even shot any!image

The kids went down in the basement and set up Tori's new DDR that she got for Christmas!image

Then we went downtown for Annapois' First Night Celebration.

The only problem is that the weather didn't cooperate.

We walked around a bit though and the kids got ice cream and then we went home...used our brains for once!image

So, no big excitement at our house.

Just more games, fresh popcorn on the stove and then sparkling apple cider to bring in the New Year.  image
