First of all, I want to say a big congratulations to Thomas and Amanda on their recent engagement!!  That's right, my beautiful roommate is now an engaged man.  And all I can say is:  "that's what we want."  Second, it's snowing like nobody's business here, and that also makes me happy.  I didn't even have to go to work today b/c of the snow.  I doubt we're going to get the 100 inches that some places in NY have, but we could get up to 10 inches, which would still be pretty stinking cool.  Third, I'm going to have to make a decision pretty quickly about whether or not I want to stay at this church I'm working at for full time.  My internship isn't over until Aug, but they need to know whether they need to be looking for a full time children's minister.  So if you guys could keep me in your prayers, that'd be great.  And finally, I'm going to be at JBC next week!  So for all you JBCers, I can't wait to see all of your beautiful mugs!

I just wanted to let you guys know that I am getting ordained on Dec. 22 at 7pm at the Mound Valley Christian Church.  So you Kansas people, and anyone else who'd like to come, should come.  If you need directions, let me know, but it's just 1/2 block south of the flagpole.  And of course there will be refreshments afterwards.  But yeah, just wanted to let you all know about my ordination.  Well, I need to finish getting things ready for church tonight.  Keep fighting the good fight!!

I am now on round 2 of being an uncle!!!  My sister had a beautiful little girl on Dec 2.  Her name is Kaylee Louann and she weighs 7 lbs 8 oz and is 20 inches long.  Sadly, I won't get to see her until I go home in like 3 weeks, but here's a picture of her cuteness :)

Hey guys!!  I just wanted to see if any of you are going to the National Missionary Convention next weekend in Indy.  If so, I'd love to see you.  However, it will have to be before 6pm on Fri, b/c I'm helping out w/ the Indiana Christian Youth Convention, and so I'll be busy w/ that from Fri evening till Sun morning.  So pretty much the only free time I'll have will be from Thurs supper till Fri supperish.  If you'd like to get together, just let me know.  Or you can just call my cell once we're at the convention and we'll try to hunt each other down or something.

I hope all is going great w/ you guys wherever you are and whatever you're doing.  Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus and bring Him glory in all you do.

I've been reminded by some people that I have not updated in quite awhile, so this is for you (and anyone else who cares).  So much has happened since I last updated in July.  The extreme abbreviated version is that I am now doing a year long internship at Lebanon Christian Church in Lebanon, Indiana.  I will be working with kids from 1st grade up to high school, but most of my teaching will be with 1st through 5th graders.  It's a big and growing church that is focused and does a lot in the community and with relationship building, which I'm all about.  It's also Lisa Kent's home church, and so I'll be getting to spend time w/ her :)  We're having our Fall Kick Off this Sunday, and we'll be attempting to break 5 world records, as well as having a punt, pass, and kick competition.  It should be fun.

Oh, some exciting news.  I did get to spend this past weekend with 4 amazing girls, and they all thought I was the best thing ever.  Yes, you read correctly.  We just hung out, watched TV, jumped on the trampoline, and got to know each other.  It was pretty stinking cool.  Sadly, 3 of the 4 girls live a couple hours away in Lynn (the famous home of Troy Thornburg).  But I'm sure we'll visit each other.  But yeah, it was just a great weekend hanging out w/ some great girls.  Oh, I forgot to mention that they were 2, 4, 5, and 6 years old :)

I hope things are going great for you guys, wherever you're at and whatever you're doing.  Stay focused on God and continue to become more like Christ.
