| Life is just swell!
I only have one week left before I'm done with school for the summer. Aaron and I have planned several summer vactions to Michigan, the beach, and DISNEY WORLD! The rest of the time I'll be working as a nanny.
I found out my internship for next year and it's at the American Children's Home. I am thrilled that I get to be part of that agency. I can't wait to be a social worker. Only two more semesters of school and I all I have to do is go to an internship twice a week and I'll be done!!!
I joined a small group with other women from my church and I love it. We are going to be studying relationships and what it means to be a Godly wife. I'm so excited about it. We have only been meeting for several weeks, but I feel such a sense of community between us already. Aaron and I have also been teaching Sunday School in the first through third grade class and we really enjoy it. Usually we only have about 8 kids in the class, but last week we had 14!!! I love our church more each week and I like being involved.
Aaron's family is coming to visit again soon. I can't wait to see them!
Recently I've been feeling discontent that I can't have kids now. I want to be a mom so badly, but I know now is not the time. I need to finish school first. Aaron and I are both anxious to be parents, but God is teaching us patience. He gently reminds us that he has a plan and that his timing is perfect.

| Pa-Paw passed away yesterday morning at 9:20. His viewing is tonight and the Funeral is tomorrow. I will surely miss him. | | |
| I'm ready to go....
My grandpa has been really sick lately. It has been a long time coming, but I don't think you can ever fully prepare yourself for the death of a loved one. I have never experienced loss before. Watching him fade away has been one the hardest things I've ever had to deal with in my life thus far. I have spent the past few days by his hospital bed. Yesterday he was transported by ambulance to his house and Hospice came in to make him comfortable. He has always said that he wanted to pass away at home. As I am writing this, he is in a coma and does not have much time left. I am so thankful for the time I have had with him. He watched me graduate high school and sat on the front row of my wedding. I have been able to say goodbye to him and tell him how much I love him. I'm at peace with the fact that he will soon be gone from this world. I sat by his bed yesterday and he looked my in the eye and said "I'm ready to go!" It was a feeling that I have never experienced. I wanted so bad to say "Hang On Pa-Paw, don't go!" but that would be selfish. He's in so much pain and he's ready to go home. I know that God has a plan and I'm trusting in it. My family is holding it together so well. Of course there are times that we all sit and cry, but there is love and support. Everyone is staying strong and I am so proud of the way that we have come together. I know my Pa-Paw would be so proud.

| It is 3:00am and I just spent 2 hours reading Aaron's past xanga entries. They made me laugh, cry, and smile. I look back on the past 3 years of our lives since we met and it is so clear that God himself wrote our love story. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Godly husband. He is the main provider for our household while I am still in school yet he never complains. I had to work late tonight and he had dinner ready when I got home. He always encourages me and makes me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world. He will be the first to call me out when I am living in sin and he never fails to point me to Christ. He prays with me and for me. He loves my family and treats them as his own. He is so handy around our house and I am amazed at his ability to fix everything that gets broken. He takes such good care of me. I know that he will be a wonderful father. He is persuing his dreams of becoming a photographer and I am so proud of him. He is the best man I know. He is not perfect, but he is perfect for me. Of course there are times when I take him for granted and don't show him love, but he is always so forgiving. He looks past my faults and loves me for me. God has blessed me with a wonderful man!
I Love You Aaron James Kohns!!! Thank you for being such a wonderful husband. | | |
| I love to travel. Despite the 5 hour drive, our Atlanta trip was tons of fun. We went to the Georgia Aquarium, which happens to be the biggest aquarium in the world. I loved it. I am always amazed when I experience something new of God's creation. There were so many beautiful fish. My favorite thing that we saw were the big white beluga whales. They were amazing. We went to dinner at "The Cheesecake Factory," which always has delicious food. Aaron and I shared a triple chocolate layered cake for desert. While we were there we did a LOT of shopping. We also went to Stone Mountain and rode a cable car to the top. It was a wonderful weekend with my family. Next weekend Aaron and I are flying to Boston for 4 days. I am really excited because neither of us have been there before. I love seeing new things. In other news, my Pa-Paw is really sick. He has had some pretty severe health problems over the years and at this point he is barely hanging on. His doctor said he would only make it a few more weeks. He had been in the hospital, but they moved him home to make him comfortable. He wants to die at home rather than in a hospital. My family has been taking it ok. We've been able to support each other in ways that I never imagined. Pa-Paw is keeping his spirits up and is ready to go when it is his time. I know that God has a plan and will take him in his perfect timing. It's just hard to think that he won't be around anymore. Prayers for my family would be greatly appreciated. | | |
