A True Story...Food for thought

10672truscrumxl2yw

Did God create everything that exists? Does evil exist? Did God create evil?

A University professor at a well known institution of higher learning challenged his students with this question. "Did God create everything that exists?"

A student bravely replied, "Yes he did!"

"God created everything?" The professor asked.
"Yes sir, he certainly did," the student replied.
His professor answered, "If God created everything; then God created. And, since evil exists, & according to the principle that our works define who we are, then we can assume God is evil."

The student became quiet & did not respond to the professor's
hypothetical definition. The professor, quite pleased with himself,
boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the religious faith was a myth.

Another student raised his hand & said, "May I ask you a question, professor?"

"Of course," replied the professor.

The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"
"What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?"

The other students snickered at the young man's question. The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Everybody or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, & heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460F) is the total absence of heat; & all matter becomes inert & incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."

The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"
The professor responded, "Of course it does."

The student replied , "Once again you are wrong, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact, we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors & study the various wave lengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness & illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."

Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"  Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course, as I have already said. We see it everyday. It is in the daily examples of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime & violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil.

To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist, sir, or at least it
does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is
just like darkness & cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat, or the darkness that comes when there is no light."

The professor sat down...
The student's name--Albert Einstein A true story.

Meditation

Meditation is a Tool of the Mind...

...and is good food for the soul. A tool that has been utilized for milleniums by indigenous peoples throughout every culture in the world. Did you know the term is utilized in scripture over 47 times?  Meditation is an ancient practise that could benefit millions, but it requires an unwavering discipline and a willingness to achieve a state of balance. There are several forms that I have found useful over the years to reduce and/or eliminate stress, to explore and expand my knowldege of self, and for clarity when contemplating complex issues.

Focal meditations are used to train the conscious mind in just that - focus and concentration. From there expanding the use of one's focus to the senses can enhance one's daily "awareness" not only of one's environment, but also of one's physical state of being. Some meditations utilize simple visualizations to train the conscious and/or subconscious. The use various symbols, colors or chants are used for a variety of purposes that include, but are not limited to, expanding or extracting one's personal base of knowledge, colors and vibrational chants are often employed for healing purposes, or are used to calm and focus the mind. Moving meditations such as Tai Chi, or Qi Gong; not to mention other marital art or dance forms can retrain muscles, ligaments and tendons, before, during or after injury.

Scientific studies have recently acknowledged the benefits of meditation on the physical body. The field of psychoneuroimmunology leading the field in mind/body medicine have begun to utilize the effects in various hospitals and clinics around the world. The physiological benefits moves the sympathetic nervous system response under stress into the parasympathetic mode of relaxation with a cascade of chemical and metabolic reactions that follow and flow the body back into a state of balance. Used daily alone, and/or in combination with nutritional changes, a great many stress related illnesses can virtually be eliminated. Diseases such as cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and aids/hiv have been known to reverse themselves, and these are just a few of the benefits that meditation can elicit.

Use it wisely..and in balance..

Spirit Blessings...

Children Learn what they Live...
What as a Parent do you give..?
By your Example..
is what you will teach...
more so than the words...
that are given in your speech.
Words unspoken..
and in Actions aloud,
Once Innocence is broken
their Trust will cloud.
Living with Criticism..
Living with Blame..
builds up layers
of unwarranted shame.
Living with harshness
Violated with guilt...
Love becomes imprisoned..
..as their Tower is built.
Here, all children...
learn how to hide,
as secreted feelings..
are buried inside.
Locked away are treasures...
from the tarnish of pain..
as defenses are born...
and filled with disdain.
You set the tone..
to the song they will march..
by your actions...
be they gentle or harsh.
Responsible you say...
Well, yes, it is so...
What do you teach?
Do you really know?

In the Harmony of Spheres...
where Light becomes Sound...
 each Scroll of Life..
.. is eternally bound..
Sealed with the Power
of God's Holy Light
..with His Breath
We are each gifted with Life.
The Light and Power
of definition shines...
subtly through..
the Veil of Time.
All of Life is created
with a design...
Within all...
is Its' character defined.
