Kasey left today for police academy.  I won't see him til Saturday.  It sucks big time.  I will most likely be lonely and needing company.  I'd appreciate calls from anybody who wants to call or hang out.  I'm very proud of Kasey and I know that he is doing what he loves.  He's almost giddy.  I'll just be glad when he's home with me for good.  Keep us in your prayers, the next 13 weeks will be tough.  All my love, Hal

I got a puppy yesterday!!!! I'm so excited! She's a miniature schnauzer and she's all black. Her name is most likely going to be Izzy. I'm not getting much sleep but she's still cute. I'm a proud momma. oh and Kasey likes her too.

Conversation

This might be your voice
this salty breeze
across my face.
This might be your whisper
kissing my cheeks.
I've heard it before,
this silent howl
enveloping me.
Turning my ear to these notes
I've embraced their words.
So long ago
it's faint
but familiar.
This might be your breath,
this swirling scolding wind
Hot, like southern summers,
forcing open my lungs
in sweet desperation
I crave that warmth,
your voice
to my ear.
I've heard it before,
disappearing to nothing,
from nothing it comes.
Your scream
this mountaintop gale.
Your whisper,
this tranquil zephyr ...

...So long ago,
it's faint
but familiar.

in high school, I got kicked out of marching band. How lame or cool (depending on how you look at it) is that! Long story short I mad the director made and he kicked me out mid rehearsal. He said, "take your flute and get outta here!" My life is so full of meaningless stories that add up to make this great journey I've been on. Anyway, just a tidbit into my world.

All love, Hal

My name is now officially Haley Erin Knight. I went down to the social security office and changed my name. I know it's been two months now but I feel officially Mrs. Kasey Knight. It's exciting!!!

All my love, Hal
