Hermione Granger (name pronounced "her-my-oh-nee") is a very intelligent muggle-born girl who is described as having brown eyes, large front teeth and lots of bushy brown hair. She is a very kind-hearted girl but can sometimes be a little bossy.


Hermione was born on September 19th, and being the daughter of two muggle dentists, had no idea she was a witch until she received her letter from Hogwarts.

In the beginning, Hermione came to Hogwarts with the intention of being a stickler for the rules, this is the reason that she, at first, did not get along with Harry or Ron. It wasn't until they rescued her from a troll that they became fast friends. Hermione, while still thinking that rules are important, is not as bothered by them now as she was in the beginning. She will occasionally tell Ron and Harry off for doing something like illigally visiting Hogsmeade, but she will just as willingly sneak into Snape's office and steal supplies. She has lightened up a lot since the start of the books, and J.K. Rowling has said this will continue.

Hermione, alike Professor McGonagall, can sometimes lose control over her emotions. On more than one occasion she has become extremely angry, resulting in things like slapping Malfoy, storming out of Devination class, or plotting revenge against nasty Rita Skeeter.
She has also, one more than one occasion, unnecessarily burst into tears (ie: When Ron and Harry made up after their fight) and when Ron told her he would help her with Hagrid's trial after they had been fighting, she broke down completely.

Hermione is very studious. She is always the first to perfect a spell and knows far more about magic than Ron or Harry, which is saying something considering she is muggle-born! Her worst fear is not the many ghosts and monsters that lurk around Hogwarts, but failing an exam! When she was alone with a Boggart, it turned into Prof. McGonagall and told her she had failed everything, which resulted in her screaming and taking several minutes to be calmed down. Hermione sometimes bites of more than she can chew. She took on so many classes in her third year at Hogwarts, she was having to re-do hours to keep up with it all, and even though she was straining herself far too hard with her workloads (seeming, after a while, to be acting a little hysterical) she kept it up. Hermione's speciality is conjuring up blue, portable, water-proof fires. She can often be found reading or in the library researching. Hermione is often quoting "Hogwarts: A History" and many other books, and becomes annoyed when the others don't know all the little facts she does.

Hermione's favourite class is Arithmancy, an ancient form of fortune telling using numbers. Hermione has no problem with any class expect Devination. At first, Hermione was happy to be taking Devination, until she came to the conclusion that the subject involved a lot of guessing work and Professor Trelawney, the Devination teacher, was an old fraud (I can't help but agree with this. Trelawney has made a few real predictions (ie: Neville braking the cup (then again, if she hadn't of said anything, would he have broke it?) but then she says things like "The fates have informed me your end of year exam will contain crystal gazing" when she's the one who set's the exam!). It didn't take Hermione long to walk out in the middle of Trelawney's class, deciding she could be using her time to do more important things like Charms rather than staring into tea leaves, and It didn't take Ron and Harry long to realise that Hermione's opinion was right.

Some people think Hermione's studious nature is psychological. She thinks of herself as the "plain girl with no extraordinary talents" and tries to make up for this by knowing everything Hogwarts can teach her. This is not uncommon, and could quite possibly be the reason behind Hermione's constant studying. However, without Hermione's brains, the guys would be lost. On more than one occasion it has been Hermione who has saved the day. Check out the "Without Hermione" section to see what I mean.

Hermione has a strong political conscience. She was appalled when she found out the about the way House-elves were treated and went out of her way (cough:spew:cough) to try and get this changed. Hermione will always stand up for what she believes is right. She told McGonagall about Harry's Firebolt when she thought it might be jinxed, even though she knew Harry and Ron would hate her for doing so. She would also not back down to Ron's accusations that her cat, Crookshanks, had attacked Scabbers, even though this temporarily destroyed her friendship with him.

Ron often bickers with Hermione, although the two of them are best friends. People are starting to predict (especially after all the hints in GoF) that there will be a romance between the two of them. Check out This Section for more info on that.

Hermione is a highly favoured character. She is based on J.K. Rowling herself and although she is very complex, there are a lot of people who can relate to her, especially little girls. Harry may be the one who gets the glory, but even he knows he would be lost without Hermione

tRon is Harry's best friend at Hogwarts. They first met on the Hogwarts Express when Harry sat with Ron. Ron first had a pet rat, Scabbers, but he later turned out to be an anigmus and turned into Wormtail, Voldemorts servant. He gets a new owl he names Pigwidgeon. He grew up in a family with 5 brothers and a sister. They all went through Hogwarts, even though they are very poor. Ron seems to have the worst luck out of Harry, Hermione, and himself. He always has to wear hand-me-downs from his brothers, or buy used clothing. Ron gets jealous of Harry alot because he's famous, but it always works itself out. Ron is my favorite character out of all the books!

Ron has six brothers and a sister, the oldest to the youngest. Charlie a Dragon Catcher, Bill he works at Gringrotts, Percy at the Ministry of Magic, Fred and George still in school they are going to start a joke shop, Ron still in school wants to play Quiditch for England, Ginny still in school. Ron's father Arthur Weasley works at the Ministry of Magic; Molly Weasley is a stay at home mum. In Ron's family they have an old Grandfather clock it tells where everybody is instead of the time. Ron has a tawny his name is Pigwidgeon, Pig for short. Ron's family is an all around great family but they are very poor, hand-me-downs are all that Ron's get for clothes.

Ron is Harry's best friend, Hermione's too, of course. although Ron can get REALLY angry with Hermione. His family is VERY poor and are lucky enough to have been able to pay for i think 7 children to go to Hogwarts. that is probably the reason they are very poor. They have sooo many kids and they are wizards so it costs alot for brooms, robes, books and alot of other things. this is why Ron always has had-me-down-stuff even Scabbers ( Pettigrew ) was his brothers. Personly I feel very sorry for ginny expecially since she's the youngest. I still feel sorry for ron but he's not the youngest. They live in a magical house where even the mirror talks and tells u what to do to make u look neater. Ron Weasley is VERY, VERY, VERY good at wizard chess and seems to be fun to play with.

I have heard that Ron Weasly may have came from "Running Weasel". Running Weasel was suposedly a warlord in the 6th dynasty(of what I do not know) and was killed by a rat that his soldiers had dyed yellow earlier that day when the rat knocked over a lamp, burning his palace to the ground.

His father had a flying car and Ron and Harry use it to get to Hogwarts after they miss the train. Ron and Harry run out of fuel and land in a tree called the Whomping Willow. It bashes the car with Ron and Harry in it. Ron's wand gets broken.

There is an old legend about somebody named Running Weasel, which means Ron Weasley in English. In the legend the man is a brilliant stratagist who never loses a game of chess. At the end of the legend the man is killed by a rat turned yellow by soldiers.

Also Ron has flaming red hair and is 13 years old. He has a Shooting Star for a broom and is afraid of spiders.

Ron is one of Harry's best friends. He has 5 brothers, Fred nad George who are twins, Percy, who is a Hogwarts perfect, Bill and Charlie. Ron also has one sister named Ginny. Ron is in the Gryffindor tower, and accompanys Harry and Hermione on thier adventures. The Weasleys are very poor :(

Fourteen year old Tom Felton has been acting since he was eight years old. He stumbled into the industry business at the suggestion of an actress friend of the family who recognized his theatrical qualities. He met with an agent, after two weeks later, after auditioning with over four-hundred other children, he landed an international commercial campaign and went abroad to work.

Tom Felton plays Draco Malfoy in the upcoming Harry Potter movie but has also appeared in the feature films "The Borrowers" (1998) and "Anna and the King" (1999).

He has appeared in "Bugs" in which he played the role of James. He has also appeared in the TV series "Second Sight II", a TV drama about a police officer who is losing his sight, the police officer tries to track down a murder suspect. Thomas Ingham played by Tom Felton is the major witness in the case.

Tom is also a talented singer. He started singing in a church choir at the age of seven and has become a member of four choirs and was even offered a place in the Guilford Cathedral Choir. He is a keen sportsman enjoying football, iceskating, rollerblading, basketball, cricket, swimming, and tennis.

This is some opinions of this...girl/guy:

1.First of all its highly unlikely that Harry will get back together with Cho. As for Cho many people seem to highly dislike her and accuse her of being a stereotype.
Most of these are probably girls whose boyfriend dumped them for a cheerleader stereotype. They are however mainly correct in my opinion. Cho is meant to represent the stereotypical popular kid that lots of people temporarily think their madly in love with. I think JKR put meant for Cho to represent this. Similairly Fluer, alghough I believe she is meant to represent something slightly different. As for Ginny and Harry I have all but dismissed this idea. Ginny simply had a childish crush. She is also younger than him and he never showed any real sighns of liking her.Now for what i believe are some real possibilities. Harry and Hermione could happen, they are good friends and I have read something which is supposedly the first chapter of the 6th book which hints slightly at this. I do not think this is entirely likely however. I dont particularly like it either but that could change with some claver scribbles of ink. Their is also Luna Lovedog. This could be quite entertaining. Do not dismiss this as utter garbage. IT IS POSSIBLE and their are slight hints at this through out the 5th. Luna is some what happy with harry when he appears in the Qibbler, boosting her fathers sales. She joins the D.A., and comes with Harry to the department of mysteries,quite willingly. At this point I think at this point we could call them friends. In transversing with Harry near the end of the book Harry there are some ever so subtle hints and she seems to be compassionate,sypathetic if you will, towards Harry. She attempts to cheer him up and he seems to be apreciative of her efforts. I believe one or the other smiles,maybe both. Its not the fact that they smile but the fact that it was mentioned in the book that is important. Also my own original theory is that he will meet a muggle. Or a muggleborn in the wizarding community. Thats what his mum was. Or he might not hook up with any body at all. As for Ron, him and Hermione is possible but not likely. He may like Hermione,but then again he also likes Fluer and thats certianly not going to happen.(Watch me be wrong.)

2.By Now youve probably realized that this isnt going to be a short little diddy, so hang with me here. Let us move on to discuss those who will kick the bucket. First of all,Harry. Either Harry is going to be killed by Voldemort or Voldemort will be killed by Harry. A very real posobility is that both will die in the proccess of killing each other. I believe that Voldemort will die. I believe Harry death depends on several things.If Harry hooks up with sombody, particulary a muggle I dont think he will die. Muggle born works to. Otherwise it depends on how well things are going with Harry and whoever he hooks up with. In Any case hooking up wigth some body decreases his chances of death. Also it depends on who else dies. If The more of Harrys friends are killed the more likely it is that Harry will die. If hes put with nothing left to live for hes pretty much dead. Personlly i dont really think or want Harry to die. Thats another Harry has going for him JKR likes him to much to kill him off. I dont think or want Ron to die. Theres no real reason at the moment for Ron or Hermione to die. If she does kill them off, it want be until the 7th book.Or the end of the 6th.But thats not likely. She might kill Dumbledore off because Harry needs to face Voldemort help from him. Pettigrew dieing to save Harrry? Where did that idea come from? Theres nothing to substantiate that. And as far as JKR basing anything she does including killing people off on the movies is outrageous. Anyhow I think some more people are going to die before its all said and done.

3.As far as Siruises death goes, whos to tell. There are lots of people partially to blame; Snape for cancelling Occumlency classes,Harry for making Snape angry and for not being completely thourough in investigating whether or not Siruis was actually kidnapped,(alghough that can hardly be expected), Dumbledore for not teaching Harry himself and keeping Siruis cooped up,Siruis for going to the Department of Mysteries against advisement,and finally his cousin,for killing. I would like to point out that it was not, according to the book, the fact that Siruis was hit, but the fact that in attempting to dodge he fell through the curtian,and into the world of death,(as it seemed to be)that caused his instant demise. Im not sure on this point this point but that seems to be what the book is pointing at.

4.As for a nonmagical character gaining magic late in the story, the whole idea is shaky and unreliable, but if it were true I must point out that Hagrid, who was all but nonmagical,has some what regained his licence to use magic, or at least teach it could be it. Other wise I should point out that the majority of us thought Ms. Fig was a muggle until quite recently. I say most of us because I had a slight suspicion when I first started reading(because of all the cats). About Aunt Petunia I dont think shes a which but she has some kind of semi magical connection to Harry Because shes his mothers sister.Also There may be a bit more to her than meets the eye because she seems to know more about the wizarding world than we at first thought. The uncle Vernon Idea is absoulutely ridiculous and untrue.

4.The titles of the 6th and 7th book I am currenly unsure about although I think "The Green Flame" sounds better than "The Green Flame Torch" , both,however, are rather redundant with the "Goblet Of Fire". There are several other Credible Guesses That are Posted throuout the site, Im getting tired of typing so i will let you find those for youself. As The Cover Art somebody posted, in my mind its an obvious fruad.
