| I've been in DC 8 months and I still have boxes by my bedroom window where a desk should be...
I've been pretty stressed out lately. Mainly with work. Work - damn what can I say. I have a boss that HATES me and has the power to make my life hell and she is. I am yelled at on a daily basis. My coworkers tell me "I don't know how you deal with it." I thought about it last night, while I shared some flavored tobacco in a pipe with a friend, and I don't think I am dealing with it very well. I can't wait to get out of this place. I can't wait to move away from DC. I can't wait to deploy whenever that will happen. I'm lonely and pretty depressed. The only thing that I have really going on here in DC is work. I'm working 80 hours in one week. Some of my friends tell me "you go girl" and I'm like ... are you fucking crazy, as if I asked for this. It'd be easier if I had loved ones close by. Most of my friends here are coworkers and we all work crazy schedules and most of the time it's opposite schedules. I know I'm bitching and I haven't blogged in a long time and I promise my next blog will be more fun and happy blah blah blah lol.
My big 25 is this Thursday and I'm still waiting to hear back from K street Lounge to see if I'll be celebrating there or not. I'll keep yall posted.

Work
We have a new head nurse and I'm getting to know her. She is a wealth of knowledge and has pretty much done what I want to do in the Army. She's pretty hard core. Speaking of hard core, I'm doing something crazy haha i am officially signed up for the EFMB = Expert Field Medic Badge. I'm not worried about the medical part of it. I'm worried about the physical part.
I worked last night. After work this morning we had a staff meeting that lasted until 8am. I talked to the head nurse for a bit. Then I raced SSgt Bickler to the corner of the blairs. He ran 2 miles and I drove my car. I think he beat me! Then we went for a run and he totally kicked my ass. We ran up 16th into Rock Creek Park. There are tons of up and down hills. This guy was literally chasing me in the woods yelling "run FASTER." haha That was crazy lol. The heat index this morning was close to 100 degrees. I am getting in shape and my body hurts like hell haha.
