| Ahhh... just another lazy Sunday... NOT. Service was good today. We had a minor hiccup starting one of the songs, which I tried to handle as graciously as possible. Another learning experience:
There are times in life when the unexpected happens. Whether it defeats us or develops us is our choice. You can either "curse God and die" or "seek the Lord and live".
"I place before you Life and Death, Blessing and Curse. CHOOSE LIFE!"
I went to the Leadership Summit at CCC (A.R. Bernard's church) last weekend; it was really good. They started playing a song, a hymn. All of a sudden my eyes started welling up and my arms were fully outstretched as I turned myself over completely to God, even if just for that moment. As I sang the lyrics of this hymn, each word was so real to me I could almost taste them.
Take my life, and let it be Consecrated, Lord, to thee. Take my moments and my days; Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
Take my hands, and let them move At the impulse of thy love. Take my feet, and let them be Swift and beautiful for thee.
Take my voice, and let me sing, Always, only, for my King. (this is when I really lost it!) Take my lips, and let them be Filled with messages from thee.
Take my silver and my gold; Not a mite would I withhold Take my intellect, and use Ev'ry pow'r as thou shalt choose.
Take my will, and make it thine; It shall be no longer mine. Take my heart, it is thine own; It shall be thy royal throne.
Take my love; my Lord, I pour At thy feet its treasure store. Take myself, and I will be Ever, only, all for thee.
Going on holiday with my small group girls tomorrow. Will post pics when I return in a week. |
