I've been away from Xanga for a few weeks. Went to Vegas to work the WSA Show for Michael Kors. The show was relatively dead compared to past shows. Chuck it to the economy...we sat around reading gossip/ tabloid magazines the entire 3 days. I met up with Kim for dinner on the second night for dinner @ the Rio Hotel. She was in working the show from LA. It's been nearly 5 years since I last saw her, so it was great catching up. http://kimberlyfisher.com/
Pics from the Potluck luncheon @ Mel's...looky I cooked!!
Michelle's BDay, Palomino's, DPW Night @ Pac Bell Park
Last weekend I drove down to the South Bay to have dinner with Brandon & Vu. I got the check out their new apartment and try two bars... VIP & Hue.
I got a promotion (starts on Mon)! Which means I'll be on probation for the next 6 months!! EEK!
Well back to watching the Olympics. Did anyone do anything special for 8/8/08?
So at what age do they consider it a midlife crisis? HA HA Eventhough I have a few years to go, I think I've hit a pre 30's wall. I seem to be more cynical and have less patience these days. Meaning of life...hmmm...think I need a few of those personal enrichment books LOL
Fri: RB girls got together at Joyce's new home at 1 Rincon. Gosh I should have take a pic of the view. spectacular. You get to see the entire bay. The boys are such posers. It's all about the kids now. Gosh we're missing a baby girl in this group!!!
Sat & Sun: On a bright note my weekends have been awesome. Here's pics from last weeks rafting trip. The DPW kids headed down Cache Creek River. It was definitely my first time roughing it. And when I saying roughing it....there was no running water, no showers, no electricity. Luckily, the guys pitched tent. THANKS GUYS! We spent half the day rafting down the river, then got back to base camp, settle in & then got our grub on! I need to get pics out of my camera. Here's some pics from Mel's. Afterwards we all headed to Cache Creek casinos buffet to pig out. What an awesome trip.
This is the closest I get to roughing it!!!
Here's a shot from the Orange Coast Magazine. It was supposed to be used as the cover shot, but I have yet to see it come out. We'll see if it ever goes to print. Tracking things down is always so hard.
Booked the WSA Show with Michael Kors again. I think this will be my 5th go around. Woo hoo. Vegas trip #6 this year is coming up next week 27-30th. And I'm in the midst of booking Vegas trip #7 in late Sept for Simon & Viv's bdays.
Ooh I'm excited. Tokio Hotel is coming to the Fillmore Hee Hee
Hopefully there'll still be tix after I get back from rafting. (Mel it's a German band *wink)

Happy 4th Of July!! & Happy 25th to my lil sis!!
My sis & I started carpooling to work this week since she just started a new job 3 blocks away. That one less hour of sleep sure makes quite a difference. Everyday I've been getting home and plopping myself in front of the tv. Usually I'll just pop in a Netflix but I've gotten addicted to the Food Network channel & the Home Improvement channel EEK!
Simon gave me the idea of trying to shoot fireworks. So last week at the Alameda Fair I decided to give it a try. I had my camera set on manual during the first few shots and they came out pitch black. So I cheated and switched it to auto to get a rough idea of where my settings should be. The shots definitely got better by the end. Here's a few of my favs, I had to toss out about 50 though. Not a very good average, but fireworks are definitely tricky! I think I'm ready for 4th of July LOL
I rented August Rush because of Jonathon Rhy Meyers but I have to say the movie was a surprise feel good shocker. Also started Planet Earth disc 1 which put me to sleep 3 times this weekend. Great series, but I def have to be in the mood to watch a documentary.
