| "seek my face". Ive been praying for God to teach me how to seek his face. And i had a little bit of a revelation while i was praying today. It seems so simple, but at the same time, it was a revelation for me. I prayed about seeking Gods face. Seeking God. And then i was like, well, what does it mean to seek, whats another word. And the Holy spirit said, Look. Look for God. Look for my face. God is omnipresent. So hes everywhere. And he is in everything. If i want to seek God, to know him, and love him with all my heart. To be used by him. Then i have to open my eyes, me heart, and my mind. And Look for him in everything I do. Everywhere I go. In every situation. Every opportunity, every breath. Look for God. As to say, where are you in this? What are you doing. What part are you playing. What is your heart about this? And He will reveal himself to me, as Im looking. Wich is the purpose of seeking his face. To have God reveal himself to me. To manifest his presence. And there is a difference between seeking Gods hands, and seeking his face. So many times we(I) pray and ask God for stuff, some spiritual some not so. And then we look for God to do something. We look for what we asked for, instead of looking for the one who gives it. And in looking for the wrong thing, we miss God, and alot of times we miss what we asked for in the first place. Its really practical. And it almost makes me feel stupid, because of how simple it is. but God uses the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. I guess thats how revelation is. when you look at something, or think about it so many times and then, all of the sudden you understand, and it makes sense. Like the wind that blows, and no one can tell from where it came, or where it is going, so it is with everyone who is borne of the spirit. |
