The Third Wave | Contradictions, Culture, and Conspiracy

Here's how it went.  I decided to go see the lake during the storm and see if I could capture some photos of lightning.  On the way some strange things happened.  I began to see animals that appeared as if they were doing human things.  My rememberances of those things are somewhat vague now as I was in a hurry to get to the lake.  I decided it must have been all the rain that made it difficult to see and ultimately decieved my eyesight.  Within ten minutes after arriving at the lake the clouds above me moved on and the rain stopped falling.  The storm which was now quickly leaving the shore still produced amazing bolts of lightning.  After photographing at the first location I moved north down the shore about fifty yards.  It was very strange.  Among the rocks there were daisies growing that appeared untouched by the storm that just passed over.  Things were to continue to get stranger.  After observing the daisies a while longer I looked up and noticed a single white bird swimming toward me from the direction I had just come from.  It was far enough away that I could not make much out except that it was indeed some sort of water bird.  As it got closer I was amazed and somewhat terrified to see that it was carrying an umbrella and wearing an old 1940's era business cap. (still a bit behind the times obviously...)         After winning the battle for my wits, I quickly set up my tripod and with the thunder still rumbling and lightning flashing, took one photo before it swam on behind the rocks, never looking in my direction or making a sound.  This whole incident would have had me questioning my sanity had I not been able to bring back a single jpg containing the proof.  My only conclusion as to the occurence of these strange events would have to be an attempted conspiracy of the animal kingdom and their mother to overthrow the set of cultural standards humans have come to know as unique only to their species.

And now I share the only file that keeps me confident in my ablility to think and reason clearly and logically.

Out-of-Place-Goose

The above combined work of art and literature is a work of fiction and only intended as a substitute for homework.  Enjoy your time and don't forget to exercise your imagination.

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For while knowledge defines all we currently know and understand, imagination points to all we might yet discover and create."  Albert Eintsein

"Imagination disposes of everything; it creates beauty, justice, and happiness, which are everything in this world."   Blaise Pascal

Cat Bath

Ok so we decided to give Mimbi our cat of 15 years a bath.  I honestly think it was the first "bath" (ok so it wasn't really a bath) we have given here in all her years of existence.  Did she enjoy it?  I don't know; the way I would define the look on her face is half-peeved, half-bored.   Oh well if she did have a bad attitude about it she has probably slept it off by now.    Sleep is a great healer!  Now if I could only have my homework get done in my sleep I would be a rich man.  I'm sorry I, I digressed...  here's the photo.

one more question... what is luck?  if luck is good fortune, then what is bad luck?  (Bad Good Fortune???????)   HUH?   it's a rainy day.   TATA

New Photoblog

Ok I have been trying to figure out how I want to have some of my photos on the internet besides just xanga and facebook.  I decided to install a photoblogging software on my host's site.  Basically then when I have a new photo I can simply upload it there where it is simple and organized.  Here is the Link  Hopefully this is the last time I change it.

Enough of that time to get to work.  much work to do.  yes this time I am actually talking about homework, a big paper and a portfolio to put together.

Good luck!  J

New Wildlife Photo

I thought some of you might enjoy this photo.  I thought it was pretty unique how I was able to get the Canadian goose taking off right in front of two swans.  For you that know where this is it was taken yesterday at the Twin Bridges over by crooked lake.

Day-4-HDR

Thank You!... and have a grand day.
