Alright, here's an update on my crazy life, my readers, with points and subpoints:
-First of all, CAMP IS DONE! I am gonna miss it though.
*I made 11 different kinds of cheesecake on my last days of cooking for camp. I think they loved it and even if they didn't, I did.
*Altogether, working in the kitchen was tough emotionally (I know, sappy huh) but it was great for my growth spiritually.
-Right after camp, we flew up to my grandparents house in Corning NY. They have no computer and they only have 2 stations on there TV, so it was great for me to get a lot of progress done on my gift for matt and Kelly's wedding.
-After G-pa and G-ma's, we picked up my dad from the airport and drove to Syracuse to begin.... the wedding.
*Alright, for those of you unexperienced, being the best man isn't all it's cracked up to be. There are a lot of responsibilities. You've got the Bachelor's party to plan, the ring to hold during the wedding, the toast to give, the groom to keep calm, the tuxes to drop off, and because I was the brother, I wanted to do some sort of prank on Matt. It's a crazy job to say the least but I was honored that he asked me.
*Well, being in a city that I had no clue what was hip and what was not, I was clueless as to what to do for the bachelor's party, but fortunately, it eventually came together about 5 minutes before we left for it, and what happened the rest of the night is undisclosed information.
*So about my toast, I was so busy working on matt and kelly's gift (I can't say what it is yet because I haven't given it to them yet), that I didn't have much time to write. Well I finished it the morning of the wedding and when I actually got around to giving it, I didn't say half of what I wanted to, but I think it came out alright.
*Oh, the wedding was beautiful and all, and it was my job to keep the groom calm. Well I did up until we walked out on stage, and I started to tear up. Well thats not the worst of it. I was the first to see matt and kelly after to wedding and when I gave matt a hug I started seriously crying. I felt foolish cause this was a wedding, not a funeral. And the worse part of all was that the photographer saw me and stated snapping shots left and right. Ah well. He's my bro right, I have the right to so that.
*The reception was so much fun. They had dancing and this was the first time certain members of my family had over been to a dance, and I think they left with a better impression of it than before. Frankly, we all just had a blast looking dumb dancing and not caring what anyone thought.
*On Matt and Kelly's flight out the next morning, my uncle and cousins were on there flight. We thought that was rather hilarious. All in all, it was a great wedding and I'm excited that I have a new sister in the family.
-Now, for the rest of the summer, I'm fre to chill. I think I'm going to go down to cocoa for a few days next week with some of my friends so that'll be cool. And it's free! Even better.
Cedarville, c-ya soon, until then.....
