I am here to listen. I crave knowledge but I am no fool. I am young, but plenty old enough to know that life in this world is harsh to say the least. If you don't have Faith, and Love in anything then your life will be as empty as your heart. Try to live by the old commen Law: Do not encroach on anyone or their property, and do what you say you're going to do. Think........Love.........and Live.

So today was really really tiring, and I am about to literally crash into bed.

To start off with, I got up at 6:50 and went to have breakfast and a bible study with two guys from my DC electricity class. Then I got back at 9:00, just in time to jump in at the start of the 5k (3.1 miles) thanksgiving run around campus.
Then I joined up with my Freshman Cornerstones group cause we had a day activity planned. First we went to a retirement center and played bingo with the elderly there, and then sang some songs. We went from there to a shooting range and shot some skeet with Shotguns. Then we went to go watch the movie The Game Plan with the Rock, which turned out to be pretty enjoyable. Then we went to Chedders for dinner.
After returning from the day trip, a group of us drove out to a country dance place, and did line dancing, swing dancing, country waltzing and in general had a blast!

However, I am now extremely tired so I shall say farewell.

Never lose.

I hope you never lose your sense of humor,
the way you smile even when times are bad,
I hope you never lose your courage and strength,
and that little touch of faith you’ve always had.

I hope you never lose your most treasured dreams,
and that life allows you to see them through.
I hope you never lose that glimmer of light,
and that it’s always there to guide you.

I hope you never lose the love that’s in your heart,
and that you give it to someone special some day,
I hope you never lose the kindness in your soul,
that’s helped so many along the way.

I hope you never lose the gentleness in your voice,
that can calm even the most troubled mind,
I hope you never lose your sense of ambition,
and that happiness one day you find.

I hope you never lose the tenderness in your words,
and that any wounds you have are healed one day,
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
the faithfulness and sincerity in your ways….

I wish I could claim this as mine, but its not. Though I like the simplicity of the style.

All in all, I really like it.

Ok I lied, I'm back on.......for a bit. I really just wanted to share this AMAZING poem the I got from a friend at school.

The Hug Poem                    - Bradley Hathaway

I read about how you touched them
And they were healed
or even if someone just touched your cloak
They were forever changed.
You let a broken woman bathe your feet in her tears
and you washed your best friends feet.
I'm just wondering, though,
Did you ever just hug people?
I know it's a silly question and all
I'm sure you would have
why wouldn't you have?
But it's one of those things that was never mentioned
And it got me thinking about it
and how whenever there was a touch from you
Sins were forgiven and sickness fell.
I think I'm caught up with my sins
And last time I checked all my body parts are working
Nothing special here.
I'm just a kid with a heavy heart these passing sunrises and sunsets.
I don't think our encounter would have ended up in your gospels or anything
Because all I really need is a hug
That's okay for me to imagine, right?
That's not conflicting with any sort of theology, is it?
Okay good.
Then hug me.
But not one of these sideways one-arm-around-the-neck type hugs
or the ghetto right hand clasp fists elbows to chest pat pat on the back back
or the you put your right arm over my left arm and I put my right arm under your left arm and we make this weird sort of diagonal thing
Naw...none of those!
Bear hug me, man!
Take you old-school carpenter arms and throw them around my upper body
leaving my arm dangling underneath yours somewhere
and I can barely move them because your squeezing me so hard.
But don't pick me up and make my back pop
because I hate it when people do that.
And then hold me.
Hold me here in your arms until I start to cry!
Because I want to cry!
but I just can't seem to do it on my own.
I've been teary eyed once recently but not even enough for a
drip down my cheek
There's just hurt in my soul that needs to be purged
so hold me here in this hugging pose
until the pain is flowing form my eyes and nose.
