While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old Texas rancher,
whose hand was caught in a gate while working cattle; the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man.

Eventually the topic got around to Obama and his bid to be
our President. The old rancher said, "Well, ya' know, Obama is a 'post turtle'."
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a 'post turtle' was.
The old rancher said, "When you're driving down a country
road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'."

He saw a puzzled look on the doctor's face, so he explained.
"You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't
belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he is up there, and you just want to help the dumb creature get down."

also this afternoon was the Chi Epsilon banquet at school, I am an official member, yeah!, cool thing was to get the certificate w/ your name on it and I can wear the stole for graduation which is June 15th. May 30th is the symposium for our senior project, gotta get our group presentation ready. God is good.

They are the terrorists. They are the ones who must be butchered and killed, as Allah the Almighty said: 'Fight them: Allah will torture them at your hands, and will humiliate them and will help you to overcome them, and will relieve the minds of the believers' ... Have no mercy on the Jews, no matter where they are, in any country. Fight them, wherever you are. Wherever you meet them, kill them. Wherever you are, kill those Jews and those Americans who are like them …"
Reports – perhaps 5,000 every year, according to the U.N. – of "honor killings" in which fathers, brothers or mothers brutally murder their own daughter/sister merely for being seen in public with a male or similar "offense." For example, two Jordanian brothers used axes to hack to death their two sisters, aged 20 and 27, in an "honor killing" after the older sister left home to marry a man without her family's permission. Her younger sister later ran away to join her. "It was a brutal scene," one official said, according to the Jordan Times. "One victim's head was nearly cut clean off."
Reports of young girls tortured and raped into converting to Islam. Mary, an 18-year-old Egyptian girl, was brutally abducted, raped and held captive for nine months by Islamic kidnappers who poured sulfuric acid on her wrist to remove the tattooed cross she wore as a statement of her Christian faith. Along with enduring the sexual abuse, she was required to fast, pray and memorize portions of the Quran. Though at first she refused to wear the traditional Islamic veil, Mary later told reporters, "They warned me that if I removed it they would throw acid on my face." Eventually, under unbearable pressure and abuse from her captors, she signed official papers of conversion to Islam.
Reports of maniacal "religious police," such as those in Saudi Arabia who on March 11, 2002, allowed 15 young girls to die horrible deaths when a fire broke out in their school in Mecca. The religious police literally stopped firefighters from saving the girls because they weren't dressed in the proper Islamic way for girls and women to be seen outdoors. With helpless firemen watching, the religious police literally beat the girls – those who were not wearing their headscarves or abayas – back into the inferno.

If we add together the power of radiation, the power of kinetic energy and the power of gravitation, we may have a little concept of the power of God used in the act of creation. But there are still other powers of God.

OTHER POWERS OF GOD
I believe that the other powers of God are even greater than the physical powers. Let us list just a few of them:

1. Power to write the Bible. This involves the power to take men from various walks of life, in different ages, and give through them God's message to man and produce one continuous revelation.

2. Power to know the future. Power to predict things that are to happen on this earth thousands of years in the future, and to have them all come true to the last detail.

3. Power to hear and to answer our prayers.

4. Power to keep the believers, so that they need have no concern bout their future either in this life or in the life to come.

5. Power to change lives. Power to take the drunkard or the hardest criminal and make of him a child of God.

6. Power to snatch us from the grave and take us to be with Him through all eternity.

No wonder Christ could say, "All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore ... and, lo, I am with you alway."

when we pray, how often do we:

1. Forget what power God has and ask only for the little things?

2. Wonder if God can hear? How we dwarf His power!

3. Pray for guidance? We need direction in the little things of life as well as in the great decisions.

4. Pray for the lost? We were saved to be epistles and ambassadors. Christ gave His life for others as well as for us.

5. Allow our minds to wander from prayer?

boy, am i dumb, i got a 137 out of 180 on a practice LSAT, and the lowest score you can get is a 120 (ie. putting your name on the exam and turning it in blank). guess i need to work on my reading level, vocab level, and comprehension of short essays. gotta try it again,
