| Marriage............50 Years
My parents just celebrated 50 years together. I am so blessed to have had parents who really meant for better or for worse and has honored their committment to God and to each other. We, Alicia and my sisters and I, honored them on this special day with a party. There was lots of laughter as friends and family shared hilarious memories of all the years with this special couple. But their were also tears when special memories of gratefulness and appreciation for these two were shared. Most people who know my Dad, know that he is one of a kind! He can make you roll in the floor with laughter when he is just being himself and he can also be stubborn and cantankerous, which is equally funny. If you know my Mom you know she is sweet and good hearted, sometimes to her detriment. My parents home has always been a happy place to visit and relax and the door is ALWAYS open, especially to the family. Our family has been truly blessed by these two people and I thank God for the memories we share and the love that is in this family of ours !
| PeruOops!! I am sorry I gave the wrong web address on my last post. It should actually be www.cbcperu.org. Be home Saturday!! | | |
| PeruHi! Too busy to update. All of my pictures and info of what is going on here can be found at www.cbc/peru.org if anyone is interested. We are very busy and lots of ministry is happening. Be back soon!! | | |
| Now It's Peru.........Go Figure!!I realize the only time I post is when I leave the country. Well I didn't expect to be going abroad for a long time but God had other plans for me. I leave in the morning for Lima, Peru with nine other people from my church. I hope to have time to blog while I am gone. I am the designated photographer for the trip (no comments, Charity) so hopefully I can share pictures as well as info. I have been told over and over that I must be very flexible in South America, they are just more laid back and the schedule could change often which by the way is going to be very interesting for our Pastor for those of you who know Nathan Ingram. As far as I know I will be involved in children/women's ministry. We will visit several orphanages and schools. My heart is women's ministry but we will see what God has in store. Please pray for the Lord to prepare the hearts of the people to hear the truth and that their eyes would be opened. Until we meet again, ADIOS AMIGOS!!!!!!!! | | |
| Two Days Left.......In Romania!!I have walked all over this town exploring and exercising while Eva visits with relatives. I can go just about anywhere by myself without getting lost. I have gotten lots of exercise but probably haven't lost any weight cause the food is too good!! Last week I walked around the kitchen for thirty minutes before I realized Apja had a pony tail. His cap says Over the Hill Hippie. We have hit it off great. He has been so much fun. I am glad I have gotten to know him. I will miss him very much! We communicate well for either of us not knowing the others language.
Here is a picture of Eva and I having a picnic with Margo and John some friends her Father has known for a long time. Margo is a believer in Jesus but she and John are not married but live together. I prayed for the Lord to help me have the right words to confront her. She speaks good english which was great. We went into the kitchen alone and I asked her if she knew that the Bible speaks against such a relationship and she immediately said yes. She said that the Lord has been convicting her and she feels guilty. She thanked me for sharing with her and she knew the Lord sent me to talk with her. She has such a sevant heart and is a really sweet person. She said she knows she has to do what is right and be brave.
Another picture of the town. Another picture of life in the country!
This is one of my all time favorite pictures. It is a classic. The picture says it all!!
We will leave for Budapest early Wednesday morning. Hopefully I can post from there. It has been a great experience and the Lord has worked in a lot of different ways that I can't post all of them. But I am not sad about leaving. I am ready!!! Love and miss you all!!
