| honestly, i really think some people just dont get it
this is gonna be a short one cuz im really ticked and really tired, but as i count down the days til graduation, im starting to see the line that has to be drawn about Christianity and the world. seriously, its a thick black line that you cant miss but yet somehow, most Christians miss it. today we watched a dvd on john piper giving a sermon using his book, dont waste your life. in that sermon he said something that ive heard a million times, but it just clicked in my head. he said, the problem w/ us is that our desire is sitting right next to our neighbor's desire. the desire of our heart should be in heaven, but its not, its right next to the pile of crap on earth. he then went on to say, that because of this our testimony is ruined because we look just like the world, we talk, dress, and act like the world, but yet we try to consider ourselves better than the world. that video made me really think about where my head, and heart is, i mean, i screw up alot, but its finally taken 18 yrs of my life to get it...i have to watch wat i say, and wat i wear, because, im not OF the world, im IN it.
