| Tempus fugit tam carpe diem - Time flies so seize the day! What time do you think you have? You know what is funny; what is funny is we all think we have so long to live. We all forget so easily that we are actually not immortal. We think about death for a little while when people we know die, but then we go back to our old way of thinking. I mean...think about it. One day you were born, (doesn't seem so long ago does it) and here you are 10, 20, 30, or more years later. Where did the time go? Before you know it you will be old, and then you will be gone. Most often, it is not in that order. Most people never get to the old part. For most it is just here and then GONE. You know what is even funnier. We all try so hard to avoid the one thing we all have in common. It does not matter who you are, black or white, male or female, American, Canadian, French, Chinese, Spanish, Swiss, Russian, or other, old or young, gay or straight, democrat or republican, Christian or Atheist...We are all going to DIE!!! Surpise!!! So then, the only question remaining is what happens when we die? This is the most important question of life, and the answer is simple...Despite common beliefs, we do not just go out of existance. Nor does it all end in the grave, and you can be sure that not all people go to heaven. I have no idea where these ideas came from or why we as silly humans believe them so easily, because they have no basis for belief. The truth then is this we are all wicked, evil people, from the kindest person you know to the worst. We have all thought and done things that are wrong. (This is where people usually get turned off by what I have to say, but please read on until the end and leave WHATEVER comment you want then. It doesn't have to be nice...Please. Just be honest!) As I was saying, we have all done evil things, and the Bible calls these things sin. The Bible says that the punishment for sin is death. This might not sound so bad now, because as I have just explained we are all going to die anyway. But I am not speaking about that death. As I said, everything does not end in a coffin, because the soul is eternal. The death I was talking about is an eternal death in the place called Hell. This is the punishment for sin. There is however also a second life, an eternal life in the place called Heaven. The reward of Heaven is given to all who are righteous. Righteousness is goodness. That is how many, in fact, most people expect to get to heaven, by being good. However, as good as a person can be he or she can never be perfect. The requirement for Heaven is not just to be righteous (without sin), but it is to be perfectly righteous, that is to say 100% flawless, all the time. Basically, we all fall short. You might say, "I am close." But God says, "Are you perfect?" You can be 0% or 99.9% perfect, but unless you are fully righteous before God...I am sorry but the Bible says that you are NOT going to Heaven. I am going to Heaven, because I am perfect…lol…before you go thinking that I am prideful, let me tell you this. I am considered perfect by God, not because of ANYTHING I have done or could ever do, but because the perfection of another has been given to me. I am still a filthy, rotten sinner, but God no longer sees me that way. Now He looks down from Heaven at me and sees His Son. He sees Jesus. (This is where I usually lose everyone else, but please stay with me. Again say exactly what you think when I am done.) Therefore, since you and I are all sinners, worthy of eternal death, with no way to escape our fate on our own, God in His infinite love for you and me sent His own Son, Jesus to take that punishment for us. Jesus is the only human to ever live perfectly before God, and being perfect, He died, paying the penalty for our sin. THUS WE DO NOT HAVE TO PAY IT. Then to ensure that we would be able to have eternal life in Heaven with Him, He came back to life again. This also proved Him to be who He said He was, the Son of God. It is only because Jesus died and came back from the dead that I can be counted righteous before God. Jesus’ righteousness has been put onto me that is why God sees me as His Son. You can have this same perfection too. All you have to do is trust Jesus alone to get you to Heaven. Believe only that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died on a cross for your sins, and rose up from the dead. That is all it takes. I will admit it is not the easiest thing in the world to accept, but it is the simplest. You trust Jesus by grace through faith and nothing else at all.
Remember!!! You ARE going to die!!! It sucks, but that’s the way it goes. There IS a God who loves you. There IS a real place called Heaven. There IS a real place called Hell. WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE!!! The only question you need ask yourself now is, “Am I going to Heaven, and how am I getting there?” If you are trying any other way but Jesus, I promise you, you won’t make it. Please trust Him, today. If you have any questions, please, don't hessitate to ask. “For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity.” - William Penn

| He Who Dies With the Most Toys...They say, "He who dies with the most toys wins." Well, the guy who said this, was definitely not the sharpest knife in the drawer. This guy missed one all important fact; you can't take anything with you when you die. I mean really, have you ever seen a hearse with a luggage rack? Or perhaps, one pulling a uhaul-tailer? I know I never have. You can get all the money, all the sex, all the drugs, and the power, and the stuff, that you want in life, as much as you can, but you can't keep a lick of it...Nothing! Think about it. He who dies with the most toys...still dies. Not that there is anything wrong with having stuff...Not at all, however, spending ones life to amass stuff is complete an utter vanity. As the poet has said, "Vanity hands. My nothing I hold. This is all I have. For it, all I've sold." Don't play the fool. Consider my words and be wise. You live once, and then you die. Make sure you live it right.

| A Letter From an Atheist
{This one of the blogs off my friends xanga, justfinethanku. I always enjoyed it, so here you go. Pray close attention and learn from it.}
You might hear me talk about revolution… you might hear the word often. It means something to me. I feel like we are in a world that needs revolution. We need a change. We need to revolt. God has done so much for not just us, but the world!
HAVE YOU FORGOTTEN JUST HOW MUCH YOU COST HIM???
Don’t ever forget it! there are people out there that have never ever heard the message. People that are going to die and go to hell, pay for something that has already been paid for.
This is stressed all the time… we need to get out there we need to tell others, we need to be a light to a dark, dark world. But we don’t. We live out our “good” Christian lives and sleep well at night.
HOW CAN YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT KNOWING PEOPLE ARE GOING TO BURN FOR ETERNETY?????
We have become complacent. We have become lukewarm. We have become useless. Christ lived his whole life for us. He gave up his life for us. And we chat with each other casually as if life is peachy. Like there is nothing wrong out their. We live like everyone has a tomorrow. WELL THEY DON’T! Most people on this planet do not have a future. They are dead and you know it.
Listen to this:
"You are really convinced that you've got all the answers. You've really got yourself tricked into believing you're 100% right. Well, let me tell you just one thing. Do you consider yourself to be compassionate of other humans? If you're right about God, as you say you are, and you believe that, then how can you sleep at night? When you speak with me, you are speaking with someone who you believe is walking directly into eternal damnation, into an endless onslaught of horrendous pain which your 'loving' god created, yet you stand by and do nothing.
If you believed one bit that thousands every day were falling into an eternal and unchangeable fate, you should be running the streets mad with rage at their blindness. That's equivalent to standing on a street corner and watching every person that passes you walk blindly directly into the path of a bus and die, yet you stand idly by and do nothing. You're just twiddling your thumbs, happy in the knowledge that one day the 'walk' signal will shine your way across the road.
Think about it. Imagine the horrors hell must have in store if the Bible is true. You're just going to let that happen and not care about saving anyone but yourself? IF you're right, then you're an uncaring, unemotional and purely selfish (expletive) that has no right to talk about subjects such as love and caring."
- Letter from an atheist to a Christian.
Our worthless actions are nothing but that… worthless. How dare we complain about anything. How dare we act like we deserve anything when we are so selfish, we have the greatest gift known to man… we have a future that we can pass on but selfishly refuse. What in the world is wrong with us???
REVOLUTION
It costs nothing. It has already been paid for.
There are so many things that we can do to start a revolution…. A second great awakening. Millions can be reached online. Thousands can be presented the message of Christ through your words alone.
Who have you told?
Your family?
Your friends?
People you work with?
People you meet in everyday life?
“but I am scared”… no your not, you are selfish.
“but I am afraid they will be turned off if I talk about it a lot”… your wrong.
“they will laugh at me… I will lose my credibility”… no… you will gain it.
“but I am not perfect… how can I tell them to trust Christ”…. are you even saved??? Don’t you get it yet?
“I am not an outgoing person”…. your selfish!
“I am not good at talking”… Who are you trying to convince???? The message is simple!
“But I do not know what to say!”… well listen up!
We have screwed up. God calls it sin. When someone screws up they go to hell. There is nothing we can do to prevent our damnation. But Jesus died for us. He paid for us. He took our sins onto Himself so we could live. All we have to do is believe that this fact is true. We have to believe that he died on the cross and rose again three day’s later. We have to trust that his death gives us eternal life. that’s it.
You have the message. You have no excuses.

| The Rest of My Refutation
This is the refutation to the rest of the doctrinal statement of the Westboro Baptist Church:
SODOMITES ARE PROUD OF THEIR SIN ("GAY PRIDE"), AND IN THAT PRIDEFUL STATE THEY CANNOT REPENT - YOU CANNOT REPENT OF SOMETHING YOU'RE PROUD OF.
"Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore they shall fall among them that fall: at the time that I visit them they shall be cast down, saith the LORD." Jeremiah 6:15.
See also Jeremiah 13:23, Romans 1:24-32, Ezekiel 16:49-50, etc.
Homosexuals are not all proud of their sin. Many are, but not all of them are. Truly one can not repent of his sin, however, if he is proud of it, but the convicting power of the Holy Spirit can break the pride of a man in a heart beat.
THE SODOMITES' ONLY HOPE IS TO HAVE THE UNAMBIGUOUS TRUTH PREACHED TO THEM, AND PERHAPS GOD WILL SOFTEN THEIR HEARTS AND GRANT THEM REPENTANCE TO DEPART FROM THEIR SIN AND NAME THE NAME OF CHRIST. NOT VERY LIKELY, THOUGH, SINCE GOD HAS GIVEN THEM UP.
"Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity." II Timothy 2:19. "Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness...unto vile affections...to a reprobate mind." Romans 1:24-28.
See also II Timothy 2:24-26, Psalm 5:5, I Corinthians 6:9-11, Acts 17:30, Jude 22,23, etc.
There is a big difference between giving something up and giving up on something. If you give up on something, that means that you feel there is no hope for it. If God did this, it would mean that he stopped trying to save homosexuals. Thankfully, that is not what He did and that is not what these verses are saying. These verses are saying that God has given sinners up, not that He has given up on sinners. If God gave up on sinners, then there would be no hope of salvation for anyone. Instead, these verses are saying God allows us as sinful humans to have exactly what we desire. If we desire Him, we receive Him, if we desire our own way, God allows us to have it. He is a righteous God. He will not force anyone love Him who does not desire it. So the Lord does not give up on people, but He gives them up to their desires.
As for there hope of sinners, it rests, as it has always rested, upon the belief of the individual upon the promises of God. In this present age, the promise is salvation through Jesus. Trusting in Him by grace through faith as the Son of God is the only way of salvation from sin and death in Hell.
THERE IS A HELL WHERE ALL IMPENITENT SINNERS WILL RESIDE FOR ALL ETERNITY. THAT INCLUDES SODOMITES (CALLED "DOGS").
"And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh." Isaiah 66:24. "For without are dogs..." Revelation 22:15.
See also Mark 9:44, Luke 16:23, Revelation 20:15.
In a manner of speaking this is true. There is a Hell where all those who do not repent of their sin and embrace Jesus Christ as their Savior will be condemned forever. However, people don’t go to Hell for being gay. They go to Hell for refusing Jesus Christ as Savior. There is no other reason why a person would ever end up in Hell.
“In summary, sodomites are wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly (Gen. 13:13), are violent and doom nations (Gen. 19:1-25; Jgs. 19), are abominable to God (Lev. 18:22), are worthy of death for their vile, depraved, unnatural sex practices (Lev. 20:13; Rom. 1:32), are called dogs because they are filthy, impudent and libidinous (Deut. 23:17,18; Mat. 7:6; Phil. 3:2), produce by their very presence in society a kind of mass intoxication from their wine made from grapes of gall from the vine of Sodom and the fields of Gomorrah which poisons society's mores with the poison of dragons and the cruel venom of asps (Deut. 32:32,33), declare their sin and shame on their countenance (Isa. 3:9), are shameless and unable to blush (Jer. 6:15), are workers of iniquity and hated by God (Psa. 5:5), are liars and murderers (Jn. 8:44), are filthy and lawless (2 Pet. 2:7,8), are natural brute beasts (2 Pet. 2:12), are dogs eating their own vomit and sows wallowing in their own feces (2 Pet. 2:22), will proliferate at the end of the world bringing final judgment on mankind (Lk. 17:28-30), have been finally given up by God to uncleanness dishonoring their own bodies among themselves, to vile affections, and to a reprobate mind such that they cannot think straight about anything (Rom. 1:23-28), have wholly given themselves over to fornication and gone after strange flesh (Jude 7), must be pulled as faggots from the fire (Jude 23), and have no hope of Heaven unless they repent (Rev. 22:15), which they can't do in their prideful state (Jer. 6:15). They need to hear this truth if they are to have any hope of penitence, faith in Jesus Christ and salvation (I Timothy 4:2-4).
If this Gospel truth offends you, then please hit the "Back" button on your browser.”
I have a summary statement too.
1. God doesn’t hate anyone.
2. God hates all sin the same amount no matter how great or small
3. ALL have sinned. (this includes gay bashers)
4. The penalty for sin is death in the place called Hell
5. There is an escape from this Hell and it is only through the person of Jesus Christ
6. Jesus died the death you were to die
7. If you trust Him as your Savior, you will have eternal life.
8. There is no other way and unless this truth is expressed in love none will believe or repent
9. You can say the words and you can write it in the sky but it wouldn’t be enough. The only way they will listen is when you speak the truth in love. Period! The End!
| The Old Phone
When I was quite young, my
father had one of the first telephones in our neighborhood. I remember the polished, old case fastened to the wall. The shiny receiver hung on the side of the box. I was too little to reach the telephone, but used to listen with fascination when my mother talked to it.
Then I discovered that somewhere inside the wonderful device lived an amazing person. Her name was "Information Please" and there was nothing she did not know. Information Please could supply anyone's number and the correct time.
My personal experience with the genie-in-a-bottle came one day while my mother was visiting a neighbor. Amusing myself at the tool bench in the basement, I whacked my finger with a hammer, the pain was terrible, but there seemed no point in crying because there was no one home to give sympathy.
I walked around
the house sucking my throbbing finger, finally arriving at the stairway. The telephone! Quickly, I ran for the footstool in the parlor and dragged it to the landing Climbing up, I unhooked the receiver in the parlor and held it to my ear. "Information, please" I said into the mouthpiece just above my head. A click or two and a small clear voice spoke into my ear.
"Information."
"I hurt my finger..." I wailed into the phone, the tears came readily enough now that I had an audience.
"Isn't your mother home?" came the question.
"Nobody's home but me," I blubbered.
"Are you bleeding?" the voice asked.
"No," I replied. "I hit my finger with the hammer and it hurts." "Can you open the icebox?" she
asked.
I said I could.
"Then chip off a little bit of ice and hold it to your finger," said the voice.
After that, I called "Information Please" for everything. I asked her for help with my geography, and she told me where Philadelphia was. She helped me with my math. She told me my pet chipmunk that I had caught in the park just the day before, would eat fruit and nuts.
Then, there was the time Petey, our pet canary, died. I called, Information Please," and told her the sad story. She listened, and then said things grown-ups say to soothe a child. But I was not consoled. I asked her, "Why is it that birds should sing so beautifully and bring joy to all families, only to end up as a heap of feathers on the bottom of a cage?"
She must have sensed my deep concern, for she said quietly, "Wayne always remember that there are other worlds to sing in"
Somehow I felt better.
Another day I was on the telephone, "Information Please." "Information," said in the now familiar voice. "How do I spell fix?" I asked.
All this took place in a small town in the Pacific Northwest. When I was nine years old, we moved across the country to Boston. I missed my friend very much. "Information Please" belonged in that old wooden box back home and I somehow never thought of trying the shiny new phone that sat on the table in the hall. As I grew into my teens, the memories of those childhood conversations never really left
me.
Often, in moments of doubt and perplexity I would recall the serene sense of security I had then. I appreciated now how patient, understanding, and kind she was to have spent her time on a little boy.
A few years later, on my way west to college, my plane put down in Seattle. I had about a half-hour or so between planes. I spent 15 minutes or so on the phone with my sister, who lived there now. Then without thinking what I was doing, I dialed my hometown Operator and said, "Information Please."
Miraculously, I heard the small, clear voice I knew so well. "Information."
I hadn't planned this, but I heard
myself saying, "Could you please tell me how to spell fix?"
There was a long pause. Then came the soft spoken answer, "I guess your finger must have healed by now."
I
laughed, "So it's really you," I said. "I wonder if you have any idea how much you meant to me during that time?"
I wonder," she said, "if you know how much your call meant to me. I never had any children and I used to look forward to your calls."
I told her how often I had thought of her over the years
and I asked if I could call her again when I came back to visit my sister.
"Please do", she said. "Just ask for Sally."
Three months later I was back in
Seattle. A different voice answered, "Information." I asked for Sally.
"Are you a friend?" she said.
"Yes, a very old friend," I answered.
"I'm sorry to have to tell you this," she said. "Sally had been working part-time the last few years because she was sick. She died five weeks ago."
Before I could hang up she said, "Wait a minute, did you say your name was Wayne?" "Yes." I answered.
"Well, Sally left a message for you. She wrote it down in case you called.
Let me read it to you." The note said, "Tell him there are other worlds to sing in. He'll know what I mean."
I thanked her and hung up. I knew what Sally meant.
Never underestimate the impression you may make on others.
Whose life have you touched today?
Lifting you on eagle's wings. May you find the joy and peace you long for.
Life is a journey ... NOT a guided tour.
