  1. Regulatory sign- A sign that informs highway users of traffic laws or regulations, and indicates requirements to perform in a certain manner.

  2. Warning signs- yellow or orange sign with black symbols or lettering that inform drivers of possible dangers ahead.

  5. Stale green light- a traffic signal ahead that is green at the time when first noticed, but is most likely to turn yellow when you reach it.

  6. Basic speed law- a law stating that you should not drive faster than is safe for the weather conditions, and the conditions of the road, regardless of posted speed limits.

     

     

  7. Maximum speed limit- the maximum speed limit on most expressways is 55 miles per hour or 65 miles per hour in most rural areas.

     

  8. Pedestrian Signal- a traffic signal, or symbol for the use of pedestrians, usually reading wait, walk, or don’t walk.

     

  9. Right turn on red- turning right when the red signal is on, unless specifically prohibited to turn.

  10. School Zone- a portion of a street or highway near a school that is subject to special speed limits.

  11. Yield- a sign that tells a driver to allow another car to or roadway user to proceed first.

  12. Odometer- a device on the instrument panel of a car that tells the number of miles a car has driven.

  13. Alternator light- this device warns that the battery of a vehicle is being drained. The more electricity used, the faster the battery will be dead.

  14. Turn signal indicators-2 small arrows, each which flashes to show the direction of the turn.

  15. Foot brake- pushing down on this pedal will slow the car down.

  16. Accelerator pedal- this pedal controls the speed of the car, and when pressed will make the car move faster.

     

     

     

     

  17. Passive restraints-describes a safety device that works without the action of a passenger or driver. This restraint will act by itself in the case of impact or other events.

  18. Dimmer Switch- on many cars, you change the headlights from high to low or vice versa by moving the turn signal lever toward the steering wheel.

  19. Cruise Control-a device that allows the car to maintain a certain speed.

  20. Selector Position (automatic)-it is the gear shift in a car with a manual transmission.

  22. Secure car procedure- keep foot on brake when stopped in an automatic transmission, shift to park, set parking break and turn off accessories, release foot break, and remove the keys, unfasten seatbelt, close windows, and lock doors.

  23. Starting procedure-parking break is set, selector lever is in park or neutral, turn on ignition, release key as the engine starts. When engine starts check gauges, check fuel supply, and electrical system, oil pressure system to make sure they are working properly.

  24. Blind spot- the area that rear-view mirrors cannot show the driver.

ha, i'm at school right now... drivers ed. haha i should be doing my term project.. reasearching and shit but... PHUONG FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET INTO XANGA ... i know its been hella long since i even wrote in here... i've been slackin yeah =| .. haha but iono once i fix this up and get a new layout.. etc etc.. i should be writing in here more often... hmmmmmmmm not much going on.. haha im hecka paranoid that my teacher's gonna see me.. but whatever.. he's outside chatting with some other teacher... yeeeeeee =] .. ITS FRIDAY . holler ;] i havent wrote in here since august first.. hella long ago.. LAST YEAR ... its been more than year . im gonna be 15 in november yay for me.. but i really dont have shit to day.. besides.. i better pay attention in this class so i can get myself a pink slip.. my permit.. my licence.. =| .. so ttfn . deuces ;D

haha wellz nuttin else betta tah do den blog ryte? fa sho.. well yesterday i talked to my cuhzzo jannelle that i havent seen or talked to in HELLUH long! like WHOA.. lol she's so different now but she changed in a good way... we talked for a while.. and then i watched that gross bug show and that medical wun where they showed like an anchor goin into some guys head GROSS... but then [[today]] i woke up.. en i was like wdf?! no ones home?! haha dey left widout me to go grocery shoppin... no surpirse.. i sleep too late... so of course online.. and OMG can u ppl plz stop callin my house for at least 10 minutes! every second the fone if ringin.. like i had ta go pee helluh bad but i had tah hold in even longer cuhz da dam fone rang! NOT COOL! hmmm... and then mommie came home and the sister... and i had to help them wid da groceries... and then off to band practice she went.. leavin me and my sister to tear eachothers head off... [[yes we argue constantly]] .. then i vacuumed... how fun... now i am online... bein hungry... becuz the mother did not leave any food for her children... haha i guess its cereal for dinner tonyte =P ... wellz im out... until da nex blog.. take care later dayz.. jamie
