Time is on a Bullet Train to Tokyo
Has it really been almost three weeks now? Wow!
Well, I just wanted to give a quick update before I busted out the promised photo journal, since, knowing me, it probably won’t be finished for at least a couple more weeks.
El Salvador was amazing! If I were ever to become a long-term missionary, El Salvador would definitely be high on my list of ministry locations. This being year 3 that Bethel has sent a team there, I anticipate going there for several more years to come. Each year it becomes harder and harder to express what it’s like to serve in El Salvador, but hopefully more and more people will allow themselves to be used during this opportunity - if not in El Salvador, then anywhere else will do.
To hold you guys over until the photo journal’s out, here’s a picture of Mr. Doug, my roommate/“body” (you know, ‘cause they kept asking us to check our “body,” though I know they meant “buddy”) for the missions trip. (My politically-minded sista, Sarah Lee, is in the back giving us the, “I’mma cut you, foo, if you vote Republican!” look.)

Can’t you tell he was excited? He got to dance with a monkey, yo… and it’s on film, too! Man, I’m gonna put that stuff on Youtube, but first, I gotta organize all the thoughts and images in my head.
Much peace to you all, fine citizens.
P.S. I loved the message in this quote. Like to hear it? Here it goes:
“If life gives you lemons you don't have to make lemonade; you can trade them for oranges and make orange juice.” |
