Two down...
I feel like the some words of my opera- "Go now, I'm busy!",
except...in the opera, it was a lie.
Now, it's an understatement.

So, right now, since I have a ton of things going on, I'm afraid of forgetting to tell people things that they've asked me to tell them. So, in an effort to be more productive and efficient. I'm listing them.

  • Wed. April 5th: Master class with Opera singer Maria Konyova, singing Piangero from Julius Ceaser: 7:30pm
  • Fri. April 7th: Preview Day, incorporating the Judson College Chapel Dance Team: 10am
  • Sat. April 8th: Mozart Requim with Chamber choir and full orchestra at Baker Memorial Church in St. Charles, IL: 7:30pm
  • Tues. April 11th: Opera Workshop Performance of selections from "The Marriage of Figaro" and "Cosi fon Tutte" by Mozart. Performed in English by Judson students. (I'm Susanna in Marriage): 7:30pm
  • Sun. April 23rd: Judson College Choir concert at Elgin Evangelical Free Church: at a time to be later announced.
  • Sat. April 28th: leaving Judson
  • Mon. May 15th: Returning.
So. yeah. If you don't care about any of this, please ignore and have a great, God-blessed day. If you do, I'm glad this was helpful. I'm very sorry that I did not inform you directly. To be honest, the last time we talked, I probably preferred to talk about things that really matter instead of advertise my performances. (Isn't that what facebook and xanga are about? Shameless advertising of whatever we think is important?)
Thanks for reading all through this- you really are a brave soul!

What is up with those price stickers from the store? I mean, we can put a man on the moon, but we can't create a sticker than won't require me to spend 30 minutes with a paper towel and goo-gone on my picture frame.

So...Have you ever thought about people's last names? I mean, originally, last names were descriptive terms for people. Job descriptions, if you will. I find, that with a great majority, the name still fits the person, after hundreds of generations-- freaky! So, now you can think through that age old question of are we born with inherent characteristics, or does our environment shape us? OR you could just think about the people around you and laugh!

Saw Firewall tonight--- OH DEAR! SUCH a good movie. Harrison Ford's still got it!
And if you do go see it, there is a really interesting, minor role that peaked my interest. Look at the way that the Christian (the secretary's persistant wanna-be-boyfriend) and the Church he belongs to is portrayed. What does that tell us? And was it more than a minor role? The movie could have functioned without it, so why did they choose to depict this character this particular way and how does that play into what they are trying to express about Christians?

Love is... when your sick, and even though he has a ton of homework and really no time at all. Even when you look horrible and your hair looks like it's been through a cyclone. Even though you had every intention of not celebrating v-day because you had other plans to celebrate later. Even though getting near you means he'll probably be sick in a week (and he definately can't afford to do so). Even though your still in your pajamas at 9 pm from earlier...

He comes to sit beside you, to run his calming hand through your hair, to say everything's alright, and to bring you a present designed to reflect everything God has in mind for your relationship.

Thank you for showing me love. There is no one else quite like you.
